About Al or Karen Davis
We built this cozy, custom timber frame cabin for our home and to start a vacation rental business. We have lived in the Nashville area for 10 years and wanted to move to the country to build our dream home and enjoy the beautiful Gatlinburg-like surroundings. We have always enjoyed nature and wildlife but also wanted to be close to the modern conveniences that a city like Nashville has to offer, as well as the charm of historic Franklin and historic Leipers Fork area. The Natchez Trace Bridge is 2 miles from our home. Of course, the music aspect of our area can't be ignored!

Why Al or Karen Davis chose Franklin
Unique, Gatlinburg-like fall away lot. Perfect for the chalet we had in mind and had wanted for years!

Great place to stay! We spent most days in Nashville listening to music, so pleasant to come to home to the peace and quiet that is this retreat! Very relaxing and place to restore your energy! Recommend for sure!
Karen's VRBO is quite charming. We enjoyed our stay. The hot tub was really nice.
The cabin could use a deep cleaning. Floors, windows, baseboards. Other than that 5 stars.
July 4th getaway
Beautiful place. Clean and comfortable. Close to downtown but in a private setting. We enjoyed our stay.
Peaceful retreat from CMS Fest
This was a lovely stay. We were attending CMA Fest in Nashville, which is loud and crowded and busy.. After the shows each night we came back to the cabin and decompressed. Nature, solitude, hot tub for our aching bodies, and a super comfortable bed. The cabin is charming and well-appointed, and the owners are helpful but not intrusive.
The cabin was ok. Off of a busy roadway. Limited parking space, not suitable for large trucks. Cabin space was ok too much useless furniture. The cover on the hot tub was very heavy. The picture focuses on the front of the cabin but your space is down stairs. Not enough towels but we also did not ask for any more. But we did ask for them to cool us off the cabin was set at 73 degrees.. Kitchen could use upgraded cooking stuff. The bathtub was great! And the water pressure was amazing. My granddaughter got a tick. The plants need trimmed back from the stairway and sprayed for ticks. Overall ok.
A Cozy Weekend
We had an excellent experience staying in the cabin. It was in a wonderful location, enabling us to be close to Franklin but feel like we were tucked away in the woods. The accommodations were delightful; there were fresh muffins waiting for us in the kitchenette. Overall, a perfect weekend in this cozy cabin!
