We built this cozy, custom timber frame cabin for our home and to start a vacation rental business. We have lived in the Nashville area for 10 years and wanted to move to the country to build our dream home and enjoy the beautiful Gatlinburg-like surroundings. We have always enjoyed nature and wildlife but also wanted to be close to the modern conveniences that a city like Nashville has to offer, as well as the charm of historic Franklin and historic Leipers Fork area. The Natchez Trace Bridge is 2 miles from our home. Of course, the music aspect of our area can't be ignored!
Al or Karen Davis purchased this apartment in 2010
Unique, Gatlinburg-like fall away lot. Perfect for the chalet we had in mind and had wanted for years!
I have stayed at the cabin multiple times with my husband over the years! This time I came with girlfriends for a shopping weekend! We had the best time! I love staying at this cabin! It has a beautiful setting and it is decorated so beautifully! I can't wait until the next time!!
My wife and I have stayed here before. We have enjoyed it both times. It's very romantic. Fireplace, hot tub, woods, etc. It's close enough to Nashville, downtown Franklin, and Natches Trace. A perfect place if you just want to get away.. just the 2 of you.
Space was well appointed and felt like an upscale TN country cabin w/ all the amenities. It's a fun-feeling place. The owners were extremely accommodating, and yes, they are pet-friendly! Our Sophie thanks you! A definite place to come back!
I thought the space was unique and encouraged peacefulness.
I had my two year old grandsons with me and it was a great experience for them as well.
Originally we stayed in May 2012 for 2 nights and thoroughly enjoyed the accommodations. We came back to celebrate our 10 year anniversary with a second honeymoon. Mere words cannot express the hospitality, attention to detail, privacy, ambience, safety and security that was provided during our stay. There are so many local options to explore before you even drive in to Nashville. The owners went the extra mile for us in so many ways. We will be forever grateful for their generosity in our time of need. Your money can buy you a place to stay for the night; but it cannot buy the character of your innkeeper. May God richly bless Al and Karen, and their fur babies Jack and Georgia.

Please obtain travel insurance, particularly in the winter when inclement weather could pose a problem. We never have weather problems here at Timber Ridge and would contact you if we did. However, many folks come from other places where there is bad weather most of the winter.
