We love the mountains and actually rented this unit in 2005 for a Thanksgiving holiday. We found the unit for sale the following year and made an offer promptly. The cabin is on Beech Mountain so its very close to skiing Beech and and a short drive to Sugar Mountain, Grandfather Mountain, and Blowing Rock.
The property is centrally located. We enjoy the full kitchen and the covered decks, especially the back deck, because you can hear the creek that runs through the property's back yard.
The little cabin was a great fit for the two nights my boyfriend and I stayed there. Everything was clean and well maintained and we loved that it had a studio floor plan. We brought Out dog and he enjoyed being able to explore a little around the hillside. We will definitely want to stay here again on our next visit to Boone.
My husband and I were here for a three night stay and loved the fact that the cabin was super close to everything. There were a few things that bothered me about the cabin. When we arrived there was dog hair all over the bed spread so we had to use another one that we got from under the bed. When we went to get another blanket off the shelf, bc it was pretty cold that night, the blanket was falling apart and pieces of it went everywhere as we unfolded it. The tub took 45 min to fill up with the three fill ups of warm water. We love to cook and when we went to use grill it was so rusty and falling apart that it took forever to cook anything. Overall, for the price it's a good stay.
This cabin is in great shape and in a great location on Beech Mtn! Everything you would need is in close driving distance. I highly recommend this cabin for a couple looking to have a fun, relaxing getaway!
Everything we needed for a quick ski weekend. Hot water doesn't last long in the tub.
My Husband and I celebrated our 3 year wedding anniversary there. The cabin was beautiful, the area was pretty, and we enjoyed bringing our dogs along. It is close to all the ski resorts. The jucizzi tub was fabulous! We look forward to going back, and staying longer. We would like to spend more time skiing next time, so we will be back! Also, Mike I told a friend about it, he will be contacting you soon. Thanks again! Tammy and Daniel Walker.
First of all I did not stay at this place but my daughter and son-in-law loved it. I bought this weekend as a shower gift to them and the owner of the property was so awesome and setting this up was a breeze. The trip started with a snow storm and the mountains got hammered. They got stuck about 500 feet from the place but they made it! The owner was very concerned and wanted me to keep him posted, he truly cared and was worried. After they arrived they took a walk in the snow and met the neighbors girls who were sledding and offered their extra sleds up and the fun commenced. The same neighbors helped push them out the day they left for they were slightly stuck!! My daughter told me that is was so cabin was so nice, clean and cozy that she did not want to leave. They spent the day at Beech mountain and hit the brewery and shops and had a blast. All in all it was a great trip and they want to go back but I think I better book it for myself first.. Thanks for the mountain hospitality!
