Enjoy the beautiful sunsets from the open upper deck or the lower covered deck and watch dolphins frolic in the ocean waves. Cape San Blas is still one of the last secluded beaches in Florida, but only minutes from shopping and restaurants. The beach is wide and filled with shells. You will enjoy watching the pelicans gliding over your head and the shore birds scampering in the surf looking for their next meal. At night the sky is black and you will see more stars than you ever thought imaginable.
'Sabu' is filled with windows, so you can enjoy the view from practically every room in this Gulf front home. Come and enjoy this spacious beach house with only sand and water in front of you. All you need to do when you walk through the door is start having fun
When you enter the home you walk into the newly renovated kitchen with granite countertops. The kitchen is fully stocked with cookware and even has spices on hand for your gourmet types. There is a wet bar with a free standing ice machine to fuel cocktail hour or to fill a cooler for a day on the beach.
The great room features tile flooring, comfy couches and lots of seating for movie watching or just relaxing. Teal, tourquoise and orange colors play up the beautiful views of the Gulf of Mexico. You have a view of the Gulf from every seat. The TV has a DVD player, digitial music and Internet connectivity for viewing Facebook, You Tube or just browsing the web.
Each floor has a Master Suite that consists of two rooms seperated by bi fold doors, and a full bath. Both of these suites offer sweeping views of the Gulf. When you enter the suite you have your bath to the left and your king bed to the right. Through the bifold doors is the sitting room with sleeper sofa, TV/DVD and clock radios with ipod docking stations. This layout is great for a family who needs extra sleeping quarters or for couples who want to have happy our together then retire to their own rooms for some private time.
The third bedroom sleeps up to 4 also. There is a twin over full bunk bed with a twin trundle. It has its own private bath as well. A TV/DVD and ipod docking station can also be found here.

Mary and I purchased this home in September and have spent the last 4 months completely refurbishing this ocean front home. Pictures of this restoration will be available by the end of January, however if you would like to see an example of our remodeling look no further than our other vacation home directly next door at VRBO # 51952
This home is also available for your stay.
James Hoskinson purchased this house in 2011
We choose this area to buy our vacation home because is it truely the forgotten coast of Florida. While the rest of Florida's coastline goes wall to wall condos, Cape San Blas remains that small beach community of our childhoods. Port St. Joe and Appalach still have that small town feel where everyone knows and cares about you.
I just want to say that this house is probably the most perfect house I have ever rented. The owners went out of their way to furnish this house with all the necessities needed to make your stay memorable. I was there for 5 weeks, pure heaven on earth. Well stocked with everything you could possibly want from a rental. The area is the most beautiful place for real relaxation. I have always loved the area and so fortunate to be able to stay for this period of time. My hats go off to the owners for such a lovely house. I will stay here again if the owners will allow me the pleasure!!!
One suggestion. Pet friendly would be very nice....
Loved the view of the gulf and the wide open beach. The home is beautiful too, with freshly painted walls, what looks to be new carpet and tile, very tasteful decor, and all the conveniences of home. The pictures allowed us to anticipate well the layout. Everything was very clean. The beds were all very nice, though we didn't use the pull outs at all. The quality level of most appliances, furniture, and decor is better than average. When the air conditioning stopped working (plugged drain pipe was all it turned out to be) a repairman was there in an hour and took care of it. As far as space, our family of five could spread out in what could easily handle more than twice that many people. All in all a very nice place to stay. The positives are too numerous to cover them all, but a couple suggestions may be helpful: The front slider from the main room to the front deck (which gets used tons) is very hard to pull open and push closed. A small child couldn't do it. Hmm, maybe that's good. The gas grill on the deck is functional, but being exposed to the elements, its showing its age. And finally, we went through much effort to cart five beach chairs from Michigan. Furnishing these would be a nice final touch. So, again, its a great house. Thanks for the use for a very relaxing week.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the property exceeded our expectations. Place was comfortable and had some nice touches. The owners went out of their way to ensure property was a "scent free" as possible, which we truly appreciated. Long and uncrowded beaches - great for taking long walks, amazing sunsets, and good bike path. I just wish the pet owners would keep their pets on leashes. Would definitely come back again.

Charming and relaxing, romantic and pleasurable. This home has all the conveniences included for a memorable experience.
We have had properties in the pahandle area of Florida for some 25+ years so we have become warry of claims about how good rentals are in certain areas. I can TELL YOU this was the most magnificent place we have visited in a long time. The house has so many areas to view the beautiful sights of the water/beach areas. It was the best of times for us for our week stay, taking day trips out to the end of island and the over to Appalachacola for the small town experience. The property is immaculate and very nicely decorated to make your stay so enjoyable.
I strongly recommend anyone who wishes to have worry free vacation please consider this property as a AAA+ rental.
