Look no further. This house has been remodeled in 2010 specifically to create a quintessential wine country retreat that is quiet, beautiful and accessible to activities and conveniences. It is our goal to create an experience that has the professional feel of a thoughtful hotel, while providing a space that can allow for more freedom to relax and enjoy your vacation with your family and friends. While we do not have every amenity with every possible option, we provide an aesthetically "Santa Ynez" space that is simple and clean, with quality beds and linens.
Casa Santa Rita is a 3 bed, 2 bath home with a private enclosed yard, BBQ, full kitchen, outdoor dining and patio area. There are a total of 3 beds, one king, one queen, and one full. All are newer, quality mattresses. We have Cable TV and WiFi internet access! We do not have a Microwave or AC,
We are located in a great tree lined neighborhood, that is quite, great for walking, kids and close to lots of activities. Since we do have neighbors, we are not a good fit for parties looking to "party hearty" at the house late at night. :)
Also, we allow pets, there is no pet odor that I have ever detected, but allergy prone renters be advised.
This home is only steps to the park and golf course, 2 Blocks to groceries and eateries and close to Firestone Brewery and the famous Hitching Post Restaurant.
Want to experience the up and coming hot spot? Industrial Way AKA (SYV Funk Zone) is the place to go for some of the best beer wine and food in the entire Valley! If you are up for a small adventure, one can walk to these establishments from the house! (contact owner for details).
Just a short drive or bike ride takes you to the best Santa Rita appellation wineries and tasting rooms. It's an easy drive up 101 to Los Olivos and only a 5 minute jaunt to Solvang.
We hope you join our growing list of clients who know “Casa Santa Rita” as one of their go to destinations year round!

I am a Santa Ynez native and this was my first home. My family and I live in Redondo Beach now and use this home as our home away from home.
Central location, super clean, and one of the best values in the the S.Y. Valley!
This property was everything we were looking for. The house was clean and comfortable. We had all the accessories we needed to cut a birthday cake and drink some wine we bought during the day.
It was easily accessible off the freeway without any traffic on the city streets. We easily moved back and forth to Solvang and Los Olivos. Plenty of wineries, obviously, but also within 5- minutes of Figueroa Mountain Brewing Co and Barrelworks by Firestone Walker, and 10 minutes from Solvang Brewing Company.
We would happily stay here again on our next trip to SYV.
We are frequent visitors to this area, usually making a day trip because we live only a county away, but this time we were meeting some friends and family to attend the Buttonwood Crawfish Boil. We found the neighborhood quiet, the home to be very clean, beds comfy, great water pressure (tho our guests said the shower head was situated a bit low in the shared bath), nice little outside area to sit in. Location very handy, and yes, walkable to some nearby eateries and such. Yes, there is a microwave now, wi-fi works fine. We dined at Hitching Post (expensive but good) and picnicked at Rusack, walked around charming Los Olivos. We recommend you visit Buttonwood, the first wine club we ever joined many moons ago. Scott was helpful and responsive to questions. The only thing I would suggest, that is just a nice touch at other places we have stayed, is to add a little treat awaiting guests, such as a bottle of wine, or a pass for a complimentary tasting somewhere, or cookies or such. But we bring and buy our own wine, belong to a ton of clubs in the area, and our waistlines don't really need the cookies, so we would most happily return to this lovely spot. We forgot to write in the book, Scott, sorry! But thank you for making your place available for a most enjoyable get-away!
Stayed here with friends for a wine festival. Enjoyed the house very much. Had most of the basics you would need. Owners were very responsive. We will be back again next year!
First off, the owner was very quick to respond and nice to work with. When we arrived to the home the actual location was not what I expected (not exactly walking distance to restaurants like I thought, unless I missed something); however, the house was CLEAN! The location is a few minutes from Solvang and about 15 minutes from Los Olivos which is the cutest town. This was important because we had several small children with us. The house is obviously professionally cleaned and it shows. Everything is organized/labeled, towels are folded like a hotel and beds are made up perfect. They do have a microwave (I think it says they don't in the description so maybe it's a new addition). We had a wonderful stay at this home and would recommend it to anyone!
Three senior retired gal friends shared this house for a month. We were escaping northern winter for awhile, and chose Buellton for it's perfect location plus having friends in the area. We thoroughly enjoyed the house. It was clean, comfortable, especially the beds and linens, and shortly felt like home. We are not wine drinkers, but enjoyed many great restaurants (from Santa Barbara to Pismo), farmers markets, and adventure touring. It was lovely coming "home" to this quiet neighborhood after a days outing. The location was perfect, with grocery stores, drug store, library, car servicing etc, conveniently nearby.
We did have an issue with the clothes dryer, but Scott was quick to resolve the problem. We were happy to see the microwave, as there was a shortage of small saucepans for stove top cooking which would have been helpful for our long term stay.
Two of our favorite outings were Jalama Beach, and San Marcos Pass with a stop at the Cold Springs Tavern for lunch. Both worth the drive!
Should the opportunity arise, we would definitely rent this house again.
Wine country destination! Located directly off Santa Rosa Road and Route 246 in BUELLTON CA, excellent base location for exploring the Santa Rita wineries and tasting rooms as well as just a short drive to Solvang and Los Olivos tasting rooms and eateries.
From our home it is a very short drive and even a shorter walk (via a path from the park to Industrial way) to the hip and cool SY Funk Zone! here you will find wineries such as Richard Sandford's prized organic wines under his Alma Rosa label, The Figueroa Mountain Brewery, and Industrial Eats, one of best and newest restaurants in the Santa Ynez Valley!
