About Joe Lynch

This is a brand new home. I am a retired homebuilder and this is the first home I built for my family. There was a lot of tender loving care put into the planning and construction of this home. When you see it, I think you will very much appreciate that. The furniture and decorations are mountain motif and were selected for comfort and enjoyment of our family and guests. Lake Tahoe is our favorite place on the planet. We are avid skiers who enjoy seeing the lake every day. The summers are fantastic and the fall and spring are wonderful too. I'm sure you will enjoy your stay. Look at links below for a Virtual Tour.

Wonderful Experience!

  • 5 of 5

Lakeview lodge provided a wonderful winter getaway for our family and small group of company employees and their families. The home was just as owner, Joe, had described it, and as architects we really appreciated all the attention to details throughout the home. We felt like guests in their wonderful family home. The great room and kitchen area was more then accommodating for nightly shared meals and socializing. And the hot tub was a wonderful treat after a long day on the slopes. All bedrooms were wonderful and our group had a fantastic time. We would definitely love to spend another winter getaway here!!! Thank -you Joe!

beautiful rental property w/ the perfect lake view

  • 5 of 5

Lakeview Lodge was the perfect place for our group to enjoy our winter getaway during our stay this past December. The home is completely updated with a picturesque view of Lake Tahoe and provides a vast amount of space for large parties. Joe, the rental owner was extremely accommodating with our requested dates despite such a tight turnaround, which made for a seamless rental process. My party and I enjoyed our time there and would definitely revisit again in the future.

Perfect Reunion!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed in Lakeview Lodge over 4th of July this year. We have a large family with lots of grandkids and I seldom feel we have enough room. This home was beautifully designed for a large group -- and children LOVE the bunk rooms! I have to admit that in addition to a large comfortable space, I am a bit of a travel snob. I was very impressed with the quality of the residence, including the kitchen, furnishings, bedding, and detail. The owner, Joe, was also very helpful and booking was trouble-free. We look forward to returning soon and really encourage anyone looking for a large, beautiful home to consider this option. Daily walks to the lake were a breeze and west shore has the most beautiful water! Liz

Magical Place!

  • 5 of 5

We gathered our families from near and far to this magnificent and love filled home.

Every attention to detail has been met for any one wanting to stay at Lake View Lodge. The warm and cozy décor give a real feel of being in a mountain resort. We had three six year olds in tow and they had so much fun in the evening to have movie time, hide and seek time, all on the second floor, while the adults could gather and cook and visit on the main floor. The large dining area was perfect to have our meals all together and for game time! Needless to say the views were spectacular, we really enjoyed this home. Owners Joe and Jane Lynch have created a little piece of Heaven on Earth.

Could not have found a better home to rent for our family Christmas

  • 5 of 5

My extended family and I found this property in April and knew that we had to sign up as soon as possible in order to secure for our 2014 Christmas Holiday. The house is beautiful. The large, open kitchen, which is fully stocked with every utensil and equipment you could need, was perfect for cooking and entertaining. Our family has four small children who loved having the run of the house and their choice of bunkbeds. The movie and board game collections ensured that none of them had the chance to be bored. We received a couple of inches of snow on Christmas eve that was enough to give the kids a chance to sled for hours outside. Located on the west shore of the Lake, we had easy access to both Emerald Bay and Sugar Pine State Park for short hikes and great views. Joe, the property owner, was very easy to contact. His prompt responses were always thorough and helpful. The next time our family will need a large home for a visit to Tahoe, we have no doubt on where we want to stay!

Magnificent home perfect for large groups or anyone trying to disconnect...

  • 5 of 5

I rented this home for a corporate retreat. Our group was a total of eight people. The owner Joe was very nice and helpful when setting up the rental. He was easy to reach via phone or email with questions or exchanging the rental documents and checked in on us before and after arrival to be sure everything went well. The security deposit was also returned very promptly.

This home truly has a calming effect from the moment you walk in - as if in a place so comfortable and beautiful it is hard to carry any stress. It is a gorgeous natural wood with an open concept living room, dining room and kitchen that feels very spacious. There is a great attention to detail in the house from the copper sinks to the little bear decorations that pop-up throughout the house. These all culminate in a feel that is refined yet homey. The best part of first arriving though is the view from the upstairs deck. The house is perched on a hilltop and from the deck you can look out over the tree line directly to Lake Tahoe - even catch a sunrise if you get up early enough.

The home has a second den area downstairs which came in handy when the group broke up a bit to do different things. This home also has a great mix of rooms with Queen or King size beds (5) as well as having 2 rooms with four bunk beds each. I could see how it would be great for a group of couples or families with kids. There is plenty of room for everyone to feel like they have their own space. Hot tub, grill and a large driveway to park multiple cars is also a plus.

The house is extremely close to a lot of great hiking in the area. It is literally only minutes from Desolation Wilderness where you can construct a hike anywhere from a pretty leisurely stroll to a full day or overnight backpacking trip. Our group went for the full day hike and were rewarded with great views and a good workout. It was a major plus to be so close to great hiking trails.

One note - the closest major grocery store is a 10-15 minute drive. I would recommend trying to do your shopping in one trip and just stocking the place. Also, the house didn't have any basics stocked (salt, pepper, sugar, etc) so be sure to pick those up.

Ultimately, our group had an amazing experience. We were all brainstorming reasons in the end for why we would rent the home again. I would wholeheartedly recommend this property to anyone looking to rent a vacation home in the Lake Tahoe area.
