Nice "cabin", but room for improvement

  • 4 of 5

This is a great cabin, but there are some things that need fixing....

1 - The garage door is misaligned and there's a 2" gap at the bottom, on the left side. This would SUCK during the winter snow!

2 - The barbecue's charcoal bin has rotted and fallen apart, it would need to be replaced before it can be used.

3 - The door stopper in the second upstairs bathroom (with the tub/shower combo) is poorly placed in front of the toilet, stepped on it a few times. Sort of dangerous!

4 - Some of the light switches don't seem to do anything (minor concern, all the lights seemed to turn on)

Other than that, it was a wonderful cabin to stay in!

Be sure to check out Teddy Bear Cafe in the Village for breakfast! Awesome food. Also try Grizzly Manor Cafe. Giant pancakes, good diner food. Staff is fun there, but only if you like being playfully jabbed (verbally) and the like; think trucker or lumberjack personalities.

Clean and Nice

  • 4 of 5

Decent size house. Master bedroom is huge. Second bedroom only fits the bed. Kitchen is spacious, but the living room is not. Back yard was covered in snow during our trip, so the kids had a blast sledding and building snow figures. Backyard is a good size and enclosed, also has a large deck with BBQ. Entire house was clean and comfortable; we really enjoyed our stay.

A nice and cozy feel to the house. Fun game room. Nice neighborhood.

Had just about everything we needed, minus the coffeemaker and dining table, but we improvised. Great dog friendly house. Fun game room!! Nice neighborhood. Would rent again.

Nice Cabin

  • 3 of 5

The cabin was nice. It is spacious with high ceilings and a fireplace. However, when we arrived we found ANTS. Boo! Also, the views shown in the pics on the VRBO listing are a bit deceiving. We had a fun time in the game room. Overall, we enjoyed our stay but will choose a different cabin next time.

Owner's Response: Dear MaryAnn, Thank you so much for booking with Cool Cabins. Ants are a pesky problem during the Summer and we sincerely apologize for the issue. Thank you for reporting the problem and will be sure to check the cabin for ants. We're so sorry that the photos displayed were misleading. We only wanted to show people the beauty that they will experience while visiting Big Bear. We hope to have you back very soon.
