About the property

Great 2 BR 1BA Cabin on Shenandoah River

This beautiful two bedroom cabin sits on the Shenandoah River in Luray, Virginia, in the Shenandoah Valley. You can fish from the bank, paddle in the canoe, or watch the river flow by from the screened porch and hot tub. One bedroom has a queen size bed with large picture window looking out on the river. The other bedroom has 2 comfortable twin beds. The living room has a beautiful stone fireplace, satellite TV, DVD, stereo with CD player, and movies to choose from. The kitchen is spacious with dining table looking out on the river. There is ample storage for your food products, and we offer an equipped kitchen with coffee maker, microwave, toaster, and pots, pans, and dishes. Cell service is spotty but Sprint is most likely to work. There is a land phone for your use with no charge for continental U.S. use.

New in 2017 , a new couch and loveseat, a new roof, and new stairs leading to the river's edge with a small platform for easy fishing. New in 2018 a remodeled bathroom.

Guestbook comments from the owner

This cabin was a great place to stay! It was clean and well-maintained. We appreciated the use of the canoe, and then of course the hot tub after several hours of rowing or hiking during the day! We liked how the campfire is next to the river - it was so beautiful to watch the moon rising over the river while making s'mores. The location of the cabin is nice, because it is close to so many things to do, but it still feels like you're away from it all. We enjoyed hiking on a trail from Skyline Drive, touring Skyline Caverns, and visiting a local park with a lake, playground, and some easier hiking trails. We would recommend this property to others. Wish our schedules would have allowed us to stay longer!

What a relaxing vacation!!

  • 5 of 5

We had the best time and the cabin is just like the pics on the website. We loved the screened in porch the best and had all of our meals out there. It was great watching the river go by as it was on the high side from various rain storms. It's a great place to just kick back and relax. We also took time and went to fort valley ranch for horseback riding. Our guide ted did a great job even when one of the horses just wanted to stay in one spot and eat. We highly recommend this place if you need some down time. The owners were great to deal with and answered all of our questions.

Great place to unwind.

  • 5 of 5

The cabin has just enough to disconnect and unwind. The cabin is quaint and comfortable. The outdoor steps to the water are a nicely added addition.

Great View!

  • 5 of 5

This cabin was the perfect size for our group of 4. The view was incredible and it had everything we needed. It was close to town and easy to locate. The hot tub was a plus, especially after a day of rock climbing in SNP. I would highly recommend this place.

Tranquil Getaway

  • 5 of 5

What a quiet and cozy place to disconnect from the stress of everyday life. Loved everything about our stay. The house was great, but the best part was the location (directly on the river) and the screened in hot tub. Would absolutely stay here again!
