Spello House Rental Photos and Description

House, 2 Bedrooms + Den, 2 Baths, (Sleeps 4-6)

The house is located in the historic center of Spello, within the medieval walls of the city, right after the main city entrance gate, Porta Consolare.

Centrally located, all conveniences are within walking distance (train station, bus stops, groceries, post office, city hall, restaurants, bar, coffee shop, laundry, pharmacy and medical assistance).

There are parking slots available right in front of the house (payment required, free at night). Free parking is just 3 minutes walking away.

The house is very spacious and inviting, suitable for a family of up to 6 or two couples. All bedrooms can easily accommodate cribs or small kids' bed if needed.

The kitchen is fully equipped with travertine countertop and new appliances and the two bathrooms are complete with washbasins, bidets, water closets, and showers

Keywords: Completely Remodeled in 2009, the house develops over three floors for a total of approximately 1200 Sqft. As opposed to other accommodations, often designed with the purpose of creating as many units as possible for touristic accommodation, our goal was to create a place where our family can stay for extended period of time. it is something we call home.

Why The Owner chose Foligno

A few years ago my husband brought me to meet his family in Italy. As I walked through its cobblestone streets, I immediately fell in love with the village he was raised in, Spello! This medieval hill town, nestled amongst silver green olive groves, golden pastures of grain and sunflower fields immediately worked a magic spell upon my heart. Like many towns in Umbria and Tuscany, Spello looks as if it has been taken out of a fairy tale. No matter how many beautiful and exciting cities I have been fortunate to explore, the peace, calm and happiness I feel when in Spello is simply unique. It is my magic place. Out of our love for Spello, we have recently bought and completely restored a medieval house in the historic center. We like to rent our vacation retreat and share it with other people that enjoy the beauty of this part of Italy. I hope you will have fun discovering what is magical about our town. For my daughters it is most definitely the gelato (ice cream!) and the cornetto they enjoy every day at the nearby patisserie - - Desiree -

Una bella casa

  • 5 of 5

This house in Spello was perfect for us. It's charming, clean, well situated, and came with ammenities, such as, olive oil and jam. A nice touch that made us feel very welcome. The parking lot is at the bottom of the hill, which would only be a problem for those who have real difficulty walking.

A true Umbrian treasure.

  • 5 of 5

I shared this lovely home with 2 friends the week of Le Infiorate. What a fabulous event this was and we were in the midst of it all being on the Main Street. This quiet hill town became a high energy place filled with many tourists-mostly Italians which was nice to see. The whole event of watching the floral carpets being made was magical. We had everything we could want in this home. The rooms are very light with big windows and shutters that open to the outside. Everything was immaculate. A joy!

Perfect in every way!

  • 5 of 5

Spello is a charming Umbrian hill town, and this home is in an ideal location within the city walls. We came specifically for Le infiorate which is held annually the 9th Sunday after Easter. This home is on the main street of Spello, so we could watch the religious procession and decorating of flower carpets from the windows of the house. What an amazing event this was!! The house has been newly restored and is very spacious. It is immaculate and is beautifully furnished with a mix of antiques and new furnishings. Having a washer/ dryer is handy if you are staying for more than a few days. Desiree and Giampalo, the owners, live in the US so are very responsive to questions. You will love your time in Spello and will be comfortable in this lovely home. It has 3 floors, so you will get a workout climbing stairs...a good thing to help with all the pasta carbs you will eat! This home is close to wonderful restaurants, and only a 15 minute walk to the train station, so a car us not needed.

Spacious house in hillside Spello

  • 5 of 5

My wife, sister-in-law and I stayed 8 days in this wonderful house in Spello. The house is in a great location in the hillside village of Spello. Everything in the house is elegant and very comfortable. Spello has many fine restaurants and is located near many other towns that are great to visit with many restaurants as well. Desiree, the owner, was pleasant to deal with and Anna, her property manager/mother-in-law was great. We would highly recommend this property for a stay in Umbria.

Luxury rental in an exquisite hillside town

  • 5 of 5

This home in the center of historic Spello has been lovingly restored to a very high standard. It is impeccably maintained, fully equipped, and decorated with style and refinement. Upon our arrival, we were warmly welcomed by a family member who showed us around and answered all of our questions. During our six-night stay, we made easy day trips to the Umbrian hill towns of Assisi, Spoletto, Montefalco and Todi as well as to Rome and Florence. It makes an excellent base from which to explore this beautiful part of Italy. The pictures only begin to reveal the many attributes of this delightful property. I cannot imagine anyone's being disappointed with it.

Beautiful house in scenic hillside town

  • 5 of 5

This house is very pretty. It has modern appliances but maintains the authenticity of the area, including lots of stone and tile. It is very well located, near many good restaurants, shopping and gelati stores. Spello is a very pretty hillside Umbrian town and the locals are very pleasant. The owner is also a pleasure to deal with and very helpful. I would definitely stay here again.
