Just had to drop you a quick email to let you know how much Spence and I loved Little Pine Lodge. It really is heaven on earth. Everything about it was just right and we relaxed more on this vacation than any other in the 20+ years we’ve been together. Like many in your guest book, it is our plan to come back again. Thank you for providing such a charming and lovely place for our 2011 vacation.

PS on Monday at twilight, we had a bear come by – walked up into the turnaround area and then right past the living room, Spence’s truck and up the hill. It was the only one we saw and absolutely thrilling!
This cabin was wonderful. The atmosphere was amazing. We put the kitchen to full use. We loved being so close to the GSMNP and a short distance from Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. I recommend the drive through the park if you plan on heading into Gatlinburg. Be prepared to stop several times to take in the views and roadside waterfalls.
My wife and I have stayed at this cabin twice now and it is very nice. When we arrived we had plenty of firewood waiting on the front porch. It is very cozy and has a nice interior. The steam shower is a nice plus as well as the mattress is a temper-pedic or of that style. If you are looking for a very nice 1 bedroom this should be on your list.
This cabin is everything we want in a comfortable vacation spot near GSMNP. It is in a great location if you want quiet, scenic views; yet it is a short drive to the busy tourist attractions. The owners have furnished and decorated it with charming decor that is kept very clean. We know that they cared about our comfort when Neal quickly responded to fix a problem with the jacuzzi tub. We will definitely return!
The cabin's location was perfect to access the park and both Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. We ate at Elvira's and had ice cream at Friendly Falls on Wears Valley Road (great view of the falls and a nice place to sit and enjoy a snack). We also ate at Geppetto's Italian which had good food but the service was chaotic because they were very busy. Everyone we met during our vacation was very friendly. The cabin was clean and exactly as described. The beds and pillows were very comfortable. It was perfect for just my husband and me. Two small suggestions: board games or playing cards would be a nice touch (we had seen most of the DVDs previously) and because we brought food with us it would have been very helpful to have plastic wrap or food storage containers on hand (we made sandwiches to take with us for the day but had nothing to wrap them in...). Really minor but we did expect these since we've had them with every other rental. The hot tub was great and we used it every night. The neighbors were very quiet until our last night when a bunch of rowdy "kids" above us partied until all hours. I think it's probably unusual that there's any commotion but since we needed to get up a 5 am for a 12 hour drive home we weren't happy to be kept up until well after 1:00 am. We've rented homes throughout the US using Home Away and this was one of the nicest overall. Highly recommend.
Everything about the cabin was as pictured. So clean and everything was up to date. We enjoyed the hot tub. We prepared a couple of meals and everything we needed was available. Even though there are cabins near by we always felt that we were the only ones there. The set up is very private. This is a wonderful cabin! I will echo the caution about following the directions that are provided. The road sign is "Line Springs", Garmin and Google think it's Lyon Springs. Garmin and Google also wanted me turn onto Lyon Springs Lane which doesn't exist. Just go another 500 ft. for Line Springs road.
This cabin is beautiful and in a very tranquil setting that is close to both Townsend and Pigeon Forge. The cabin was extremely clean and the amenities were great - hot tub, pool table, double level sitting area against woods, DVDs, cable, and wifi. We love the serenity of the area and being close to restaurants still and shopping. Highly recommend this cabin!
