Little Pine Lodge is an owner-managed intimate log cabin in a secluded, quiet and beautiful forest setting. It has one master king bedroom and one bath and a queen bed in the loft. It is centrally located in peaceful Wears Valley, 15-20 minutes from both Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. It is easily accessible by car with well maintained wide roads and ample off road paved parking. This is an upscale cabin with nice views in a very private wooded setting. It is perfect for a honeymoon or a second honeymoon as well as a vacation home for a small family.

Little Pine Lodge is an authentic log cabin with all wood interior including wide plank pine floors, hand peeled pine logs and rhododendron wood features. When you enter Little Pine Lodge, you will feel the warm, cozy ambience of a cabin in the mountains with all the comforts of home. This is a great place to unwind and forget about the outside world. It is also is in a prime area for viewing wildlife and you might even see some on the deck!

Little Pine Lodge sleeps up to four people with a king-size bed in the master and a queen bed in the loft, both with comfy pillowtop mattresses.

We have a good selection of books about the area including hiking, fishing, wildlife and general history of the area as well.

You will find a refrigerator with ice maker, dishwasher, range and microwave, as well as a washer and dryer. Cooking utensils and dishes are all provided. Guestbook comments from the owner

Neal,

Just had to drop you a quick email to let you know how much Spence and I loved Little Pine Lodge. It really is heaven on earth. Everything about it was just right and we relaxed more on this vacation than any other in the 20+ years we’ve been together. Like many in your guest book, it is our plan to come back again. Thank you for providing such a charming and lovely place for our 2011 vacation.

Best regards,

Laura and Spence W

PS on Monday at twilight, we had a bear come by – walked up into the turnaround area and then right past the living room, Spence’s truck and up the hill. It was the only one we saw and absolutely thrilling!

Wow!

This cabin was wonderful. The atmosphere was amazing. We put the kitchen to full use. We loved being so close to the GSMNP and a short distance from Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. I recommend the drive through the park if you plan on heading into Gatlinburg. Be prepared to stop several times to take in the views and roadside waterfalls.

Beautiful Property; Great Atmosphere

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I came here for our honeymoon and really enjoyed our stay. The house was very clean and overall well-stocked. The cabin had just the right romantic atmosphere we were looking for, and its secluded location made it perfect for our getaway. We had trouble finding the place - as mentioned by some of the other guests, the road name in the directions was wrong, but we were also driving around the middle-of-nowhere Smoky Mountains in the dark :) - but once we got there had a great time. We enjoyed the luxury hot tub, the pool table in the loft, and the back porches overlooking the forest, as well as the proximity to GSM National Park. We also enjoyed the black bear walking across our front porch, although it did make us hesitant to use the outdoor grill.

The detractors were minor but I guess coming from a family that owns several rentals I have higher expectations: the blender was quite dirty when I pulled it out to use it; there was a coffee maker, creamer and sugar provided but no coffee; I couldn't get the blinds on the front door to open; it would have been nice to have Netflix or home entertainment options other than the cable (which was excellent)... things like that. Nothing major and overall our stay was peaceful and enjoyable! I appreciated little touches like books about the Smokies that made the place feel more homey, and sticky notes and pens for us to use in a pinch. I can tell the owner put a lot of thought into this property and we were grateful for such a peaceful place to stay for our honeymoon.

Perfect Location

  • 5 of 5

We really enjoyed our stay in this super clean cabin. The pictures don't do this cabin justice. It is ultra-clean with very nice furniture & décor. The hot tub was perfect for relaxing mornings & evenings. Beautiful Wears Valley is a perfect place to stay if you are wanting to visit the Great Smokey Mountains National Park. It's a small town with nice places to eat & visit & only a short drive to Gatlinburg & Pigeon Forge. But you won't even need to go there to experience the park since the cabin is located less than 5 minutes from the Metcalf Bottoms entrance. You will fill like your staying in the park since this cabin is surrounded by forest for several miles. The short drive off of Hwy 321 is on freshly paved roads that take you directly to the cabin that has plenty of paved parking. As soon as we arrived we saw a black bear wandering around in the woods behind the cabin. That made our stay even more special. Thanks Neal for providing such nice accommodations for our getaway.

Perfection

  • 5 of 5

This is our 6th visit to Little Pine Lodge which says it all. We love the seclusion, the peacefulness and comfort, the amenities (steam sauna shower!) and everything you could want for a great stay - dozens of DVDs, pool table, fully outfitted kitchen, comfy bed and bedding. We unpack and immediately feel we are home. Love the location, private and quiet yet a short drive to Wears Valley, Townsend or Pigeon Forge and just a bit longer to Gatlinburg or Cherokee NC via the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. So many great restaurants and things to do in the area. Lots of cabins to rent in the area but none that are better in our opinion!

The cabin was just the right size for my husband and I to enjoy some time away. It is modern, clean and even supplied with a good library of DVDs and some books and magazines. We couldn't have been happier.
