Guestbook comments from the owner

Neal,

Just had to drop you a quick email to let you know how much Spence and I loved Little Pine Lodge. It really is heaven on earth. Everything about it was just right and we relaxed more on this vacation than any other in the 20+ years we’ve been together. Like many in your guest book, it is our plan to come back again. Thank you for providing such a charming and lovely place for our 2011 vacation.

Best regards,

Laura and Spence W

PS on Monday at twilight, we had a bear come by – walked up into the turnaround area and then right past the living room, Spence’s truck and up the hill. It was the only one we saw and absolutely thrilling!

Wow!

  • 5 of 5

This cabin was wonderful. The atmosphere was amazing. We put the kitchen to full use. We loved being so close to the GSMNP and a short distance from Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. I recommend the drive through the park if you plan on heading into Gatlinburg. Be prepared to stop several times to take in the views and roadside waterfalls.

Great Place to Stay!

  • 5 of 5

This is our favorite for a quick weekend getaway. We've stayed four times and are always impressed. It is consistently spotless. The kitchen is well equipped and the house has plenty of room to spread out, but still be together. The area is quiet and always lends itself to a relaxing weekend away.

Great accomodation in a lovely location.

  • 5 of 5

Your relaxed vacation experience begins before arrival with Neal being prompt in his replies to emails. Availability requests and check-in procedures are dealt with quickly and efficiently.

The online information is comprehensive enough, but a well throughout 'hard copy' awaits your arrival and adds to your planning for attractions and restaurants. The cabin is perfect for that 'get away and relax' feel, tastefully furnished and decorated and all the amenities and accessories you need for your stay. The cabins location, for us was perfectly located to enjoy Pigeon Forge & Gatlinburg should you so wish and close enough to the GSMNP and its trails for the peace and quiet.

Thank you to The Rudnick Family for sharing Little Pine Lodge.

Well appointed cabin in the woods.

  • 5 of 5

Little Pine Lodge is a very nice cabin in the woods. We enjoyed the decor (nice prints appropriate to the location), very nice dishes (themed with the cabin), and cookware in great shape. The hot tub was awesome, hubby liked the pool table. A nice selection of spices - you never know what to count on. An excellent library of books and maps on the area. We had only a few negatives - the driveway was not marked with the house number, and we passed it because it had another cabin's name - confusing. There was no dish cloth or sponge for wiping down the beautiful countertops. The dvd player apparently had been replaced and the directions were for another device - I could not figure it out. (I admit I am a little technologically-challenged). We loved our stay and would recommend it.

Owner's Response: Hi Melissa, I'm glad that you enjoyed your stay at our cabin. I would like to address your concerns. The cabins in the area are not marked with house numbers. They are marked with cabin names. I provide detailed written directions to the property. There is normally a sponge at the sink and dishcloths in one of the kitchen drawers. I talked to Cheri about this and she will make sure that this does not happen in the future. The DVD instructions are correct. I understand that these systems can be confusing. If a guest has an issue, they can call, text or email me so that I can address it and your visit can be the great experience that we all want it to be. My guests are provided three phone numbers on the directions page and always have direct access to me. Thanks for choosing our cabin. I apologize for your inconvenience and I hope that you will visit again. Neal

Absolutely perfect

  • 5 of 5

This cabin was exactly what we were looking for in every aspect. Typically we hunt for more secluded cabins but because we were mainly going to explore Cades Cove and Gatlinburg it didn't matter because we wouldn't be at the cabin much. The place was immaculate when we arrived which was perfect for an overly obsessive person like myself:) The bed was cozy, she shower was amazing and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves! We're actually planning a second trip in March! Thank you to the Rudnicks for sharing your wonderful cabin with us!!
