Other guest will be staying in a four bedroom Condo directly above your bedrooms. It is rented by Snowshoe.
There is a family “party” room, dining room and kitchen directly above your accommodations. The floors are tile. You will hear people walking around or dining room table chairs being moved around. Normally, it’s not bad at all. (See Reviews)
HOWEVER, ABOUT ONCE OR TWICE PER SEASON, YOU’LL FIND THAT THERE IS A PARTYING CROWD UPSTAIRS. IF SO, YOU WILL HEAR THEM LOUD AND CLEAR, BE INCONVENIENCED, AND PROBABLY NOT BE ABLE TO SLEEP UNTIL THEY DO. I’VE HAD SOME GUEST TELL ME UPSTAIRS PARTIES WENT ON TO 3 AM. THIS HAS BEEN THE EXCEPTION RATHER THAN THE RULE, BUT IT DOES HAPPEN. SOME OF MY GUEST TAKE EAR PLUGS AS A PRECAUTION. AS I DON’T USE THEM, I AM NOT SURE THEY DO ANY GOOD.
SO, IF YOU DON’T WANT TO CHANCE IT, THIS IS PROBABLY NOT THE UNIT FOR YOU.
However, because of this possible inconvenience, my rates are heavily discounted with respect to any other slope front property. There are no refunds after arrival.

This unit is 40 Steps to slopes. It is a 2 BR Efficiency, similar to Hilton's Embassy Suites and SLEEPS 4 . BR 1 is a cozy, great room with 1 King, dresser, 2 sofa's, Big Screen TV, Frig and Cooking Prep Area. BR 2 has 2 twins and dresser. A bathroom separates the bedrooms. Linens and towels furnished.
The unit is well equipped. It does not have a stove but does have an outside gas grill. Throw some Steaks, Chicken, Sausage, Burgers, Dogs or Chops on. Inside, use my Crock Pot for soups and stews. There is also a Frig, Microwave, Coleman camp burner for light frying, Coffee Maker, Blender, Toaster and electric can opener. There are plenty of utensils, dishes, cups and wine glasses for Vino. There's also a nice prep area for meals that keeps you in the middle of the conversation.
Skiing. Out the back door and choose your slope. You are DIRECTLY on the Powder Monkey Ski Lift. Go left, and ski the best GREEN groomed cruisers on the mountain or go right and catch all the BLUE runs. Want some BLACK DIAMONDS. Then walk across the street to Snowshoe's famed Cupp Run, a long, groomed 1 1/2 mile run. Or if you want to tag some Moguls, jump on Shea's Revenge. When you get to the bottom, enjoy some Brews and eats at Arbuckles. Slopes open at 9 and close at 4:30.
R & R: You're about 3 minutes from the Shavers Center. Here you'll find a Food Court and a 15,000 square foot Arcade for the kids. But if you're looking for a little Adult fun, hop into the 'Moonshine Watering Hole'. This is a great little bar where you can drink some beer, grab some bar food and listen to local musicians play. Upstairs, after 9, 'The Connection Night Club' cranks up. It's the perfect place to hook up for drinks, bar games, dancing and live bands.
And, if you're hungry and want to try out some of the mountain's best restaurants, head to Snowshoe Village. It's just a couple of minutes out the door from the Shavers Center. Grab some pizza at 'Cheats', some unique eats at 'The Foxfire Grille', some sushi at the 'Taste of Asia' or steaks, burgers and chops at 'The Junction Restaurant and Saloon'. Afterwards do a little shopping, have a SPA or head to the Split Rock to enjoy the pool and hot tubs.
And when the evening is finished, come on home. You're almost there anyway.
When you arrive at Snowshoe, the apartment is easy to find. It is located at the Stemwinder Two Complex and is accessed through the rear, downstairs entrance of Unit #6. Stemwinder Two is the second complex to the left of the Shavers Center. (Stemwinder One is the first complex to the left.) Stemwinder is best located by finding the The Shavers Center. The Shavers Center is in the middle of the mountain and best identified by having a huge Big Top Circus Tent out front. You can see it from the main road. Turn in at The Shavers Center and you will immediately see gated parking for the Stemwinder Two Complex. Once parked, face the complex and go to the far right hand side of the building. There, find steps, walk down toward the slopes and turn left. The apartment entrance will be the second door on the left. The walk is short and the walkways are lighted.
And since there's nothing better than being around family and friends, I know you'll have a great time. Enjoy your stay.

This is our second season staying here. It's absolutely perfect for guests who want to ski, ski and ski some more. Just a short walk down the stairs and you're on the slopes. We will be coming back next year!
If you're primary goal is convenience to the slopes and the village, this is a great spot! We had a fantastic trip! Bull is professional, honest, and provides great advice. Our kids learned to ski on their first snow skiing trip! As Bull will let you know, the folks upstairs can be pretty noisy, but it didn't really bother us.
GREAT location. It's truly ski in, ski out. Very convenient to the Shaver's Center where my son played on the bouncy houses and a short walk away from the village on top of the mountain. The queen size bed and the couches were very comfortable. The dinette area worked although you should know that you have to wash all your dishes in the bathroom sink. We unfortunately had some loud neighbors, but we knew that was a possibility. We skied in 70 degree weather, and I was shocked how well the slopes were groomed.
The owner was great to work with, and you can't beat the price for the location. Just be prepared to hear the people above you walking around and sliding furniture and hope that they go to bed at a reasonable time.

The 2 issues that might be a show stopper for some didn't bother us at all. There is noise upstairs in the evening or in the morning, but if you are like me and go right back to sleep, no biggie!
There is not a full kitchen, so you will need to plan ahead and bring plenty of ready to heat and eat meals, or just eat out a lot. (Vacations are not for spending time in the kitchen anyway).
If you don't have a 4 x 4 or AWD (like me) getting out of the driveway might be a challenge if there is a lot of snow. (I did have to get a guy to tow me up a bit). The parking lot is at the bottom of a small hill. You can park in the lot next door for a fee, but that fills up fast and there is a fee.
The host will definitely work with you and replies very quickly. Bull was very accommodating.
I would definitely stay here again, we had a great time!
Yes, this place has it's hiccups (no full kitchen, noise upstairs). However, they've all been clearly outlined in the description so they shouldn't be any surprise. The description couldn't be more spot on. Everything in the house was nice, clean, and comfortable. The host has been super attentive and accomodating, and he's been very quick to get back to me and very professional. The location of the place is amazing, just a few steps and you can drop on down powder monkey. For the money, you can't beat this place!
I would definitely recommend this place to anyone. Glad I booked two weekends for this season!
