About Vicki Sommer

I grew up in Georgia until age 12. From then until now, I reside in SWFL. I always enjoyed the seasons and Maggie Vally tugged at my heart! So when Hibernation Hollow become available, I knew it was for me.

Vicki Sommer purchased this cabin in 2008

Why Vicki Sommer chose Maggie Valley

Hibernation Hollow has the best of everything. Spacious, yet cozy. Nature, ammonites, great neighbors & beautiful views from every room.

What makes this cabin unique

When I sat on the porch, looked around and saw all the nature, views, & friendly community I knew this was the perfect cabin.

Guestbook comments from the owner

We rented this cabin for our honeymoon and enjoyed it so much. It was close to everything. We went hiking in the mountains and drove up to see the elk. We enjoyed browsing through the quaint little shops and eating at the local restaurants. We are looking forward to returning in the winter to see the snow. We also very much enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub each day after each of our adventures.

Secluded and roomy!

  • 5 of 5

This easy to find cabin was ideal for our long weekend stay in the mountains. My elderly parents, who stayed with us, had no problems getting around the property. We all enjoyed the spacious living area, porch/deck areas, two full baths, and lots of kitchen cabinet and closet space for storing things. The location is great also as it is close to Waynesville, Asheville, the great smoky mountains, and Blue Ridge Parkway. Our small dog liked it too! We all agreed we would definitely stay here again. The owner is very responsive and helpful.

Had a great time

  • 5 of 5

We had an amazing time. I definitely recommend this cabin. Vicki was very kind and was always there if we needed anything. Beacuse of the rainy weather, we spent most of our time in the hot tub, and we enjoyed every bit of it. I was glad we found this place for our weekend getaway with my family.

Owner's Response: So glad you had an amazing time inspite of the rain. But hanging out in the hot tub isn't a bad day. Hoping you will come visit my comfy cabin again. Vicki

Our family had a wonderful time. There was a lot to do in Maggie Valley. There was a lot of beauty and we had a wonderful time seeing the wildlife. There was a wonderful miniature golf course that had 18 holes all the kids loved it!

Nice, comfortable cabin

  • 5 of 5

Thank you for offering your home to us. It is only 5 miles up the mountain to cattachoee ski resort and 2 miles to Tube World. Restaurants galore. The hot tub came in handy after a day on the slopes. Unfortunately, the dishwasher was leaking and the oven runs very hot but we made do. The kids loved TVs in each room and the beds were comfortable. Maggie Valey has a lot going on. We will be back!

wonderful family vacation

  • 5 of 5

Ourfamily of 6 really enjoyed our week long stay in this cabin. The space was perfect for us. Having a place to do wash was perfect after lots of hikes and playing in mountain streams. We went to Ashville, Cherokee, Bryson City, and Gaitlenburg and found the location to be very central for what we water to see. The owner was a delight to work with as well!
