About Arnold Manangan

My wife and I currently reside in Decatur, GA. We lived in Hawaii and both of us received our Master's degrees from the University of Hawaii. Our jobs took us to Utah, Colorado and to Georgia. I retired as a commissioned officer after 30 years of service in the health field. My wife is a public health professional. When we can, we go to the beaches of Florida and South Carolina and to the mountains for North Carolina. We go to Hawaii to be with our relatives on special occasions like graduations, birthdays, etc. We value our staying in contact with familes and friends. We cherish being with our 3 grandsons who are in their peak ages of providing enlightenment for us.

Arnold Manangan purchased this studio in 2004

Why Arnold Manangan chose Kiawah Island

We were introduced to Kiawah Island in 2003 when our in-laws and their families and our family converged to the island where we all rented several cabins. It was so much fun going to the beach, going on the different bike trails and going to downtown Charleston and just simply visiting. That was the start of our being so fascinated with Kiawah. We were excited so we decided to buy our condo in 2004 and when we stay there we still continue to be intrigued by it beauty and serenity. The condo is ideal for us to vacation because it is right on the beach. It is on the 4th floor and you just take the elevator to the first floor, walk several steps and your feet is touching the sand. Enjoy the changing tide. At high tide our sons and grandsons ride their surfboards and body boards. At low tide, we enjoy walking the beach and seeing the different birds like egrets and pelicans flying above and even diving from the airs to catch their meal. You are most likely to see these birds including plovers running on the sand in a unique fashion. Walking and seeing those birds put me in a romantic mode and I usually sing to my wife the sandpiper song that came out in the 60's. Yes, I love being at our Kiawah Island property

What makes this studio unique

The close proximity to the beach is a draw to being at our condo.

Amazing getaway at the Beach! Dream come true!

  • 4 of 5

My sister and I got away for a few days and stayed here. It has everything we needed! I loved the beach access being so close, so easy to walk up to the room for lunch and then back to the beach, no need to haul extra things to the beach! The beach here is just amazing! I enjoyed the bike paths too. It was inexpensive to rent bikes, they were delivered to us and we rode all around the island and the beach. We took advantage of the close-by grocery store and ate most of our meals inside the condo! This quick getaway was a dream come true. The owners were great to work with and I would recommend this place for sure. Thank you for sharing your lovely condo, I hope to visit again someday!

Perfect beach condo ....

  • 4 of 5

We stayed at this condo from 6/13 to 6/20. It is perfectly located on a beautiful beach. The entire island is a gated community. Hard to believe, but true. We are not golfers, but beach lovers. We loved having the beach a few steps away. The condo is one room but never feels too small. Great use of space. The owners are very engaged and available by email and cell phone. We did make some suggestion and hope that the owners will bring in a different cleaning crew. The space is perfect for a couple. We cooked and ate all of our meals in the condo. There is a great Harris Teeter close by that is very well stocked. With a few tweaks, the condo will indeed be perfect.

We will miss the beach and the wonderful walks we took every morning! This is a great place for couples who just want a quiet place to be and relax and enjoy a beautiful beach!

Wonderful weekend!

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I had a wonderful, relaxing weekend on the beach! The condo was a perfect home base for us during our three night stay and the owners were so professional and accommodating to us. The Straw Market is just a half block away with ice cream, coffee and a restaurant. We loved all the bike paths are perfect for our rented bikes and walking. Thanks for a our "second honeymoon"!

Great Place to R & R

  • 5 of 5

First time to the Charleston area. This condo made an excellent home base to explore not just Charleston since it was so close but all the surrounding areas/beaches. Very comfortable place and nicely decorated. We liked having all the literature and brochures in the condo to get a lay of the land and what was available to see and do. During our visit the villa was very peaceful and not busy...just very relaxing. The access to the beach was amazing!...just a short walk from the elevator...awesome! We enjoyed the many places to see wildlife, birdwatch and hike...Kiawah Island, Botany Bay Plantation, Caw Caw Interpretive Center and the Edisto Island Serpentarium were some favorites. The weekly price for this condo was more than worth it...what a great time we had! The owners are easy to work with and we thank them for sharing their condo.

Best kept secret at Kiawah

  • 5 of 5

We had such a delightful stay at this condo. very well decorated and just steps from the beach., The owners were great to work with and I cannot wait to go back and stay in their condo. Very clean studio. Added plus was the laundry facilities at no charge. The beach area is very secluded and we had lots of fun riding bikes on all the bike paths.

This place is a definite RENT!!!!

Loved our stay....thank you so much
