The apartment was set up with everything we needed for a long weekend in Anchorage. It was my wife, myself and our 4 year old. The apartment situated well between the airport and Dimond Blvd. It was one of the best prices for the summer season and way better than trying to manage a single hotel room with a little one.
This is a simple, efficient & clean condo (converted apartment) 5 minutes from airport and had everything that I needed for a comfortable weekend stay in Anchorage. Less than 5 minutes drive to TrueValue, grocery store, Kincaid park to try to find some Moose. Everything is well organized in Kitchen and was easy to find. . Having stayed in a hotel before in Anchorage that was similarly priced, this was a much better experience.
Quaint little apartment has all the necessary amenities of a hotel, but in an apartment building. The owner was extremely easy to work with, helped us book at a moment's notice and checked on us to make sure we were settled in. It is a ground floor apartment in good condition and nicely remodeled, but the apartment complex is more than sketchy and I would not have stayed there if my husband wasn't with me. Great rate for a cute little apartment, if you can ignore the rest of the building :)
Pros: affordable at the price listed, had an oven, fridge, clean kitchen and bathroom. Great for 1-2 people. Good location to get to sights, shopping and airport, very convenient. Bed was ok to sleep on but soft. My back issues did not flare up so I would give this a 3rd star for having a good nights sleep.
Cons: strange location for such a great little apartment with nice décor. The couch was uncomfortable and should be replaced. Fan in bedroom had broken legs but we propped it up against our suitcases. The windows allowed for some air to flow through but there is no view except of the bottoms of cars or the storage room doors on the ground floor. it got over 80deg at night inside. These are minor things and I'm sure the owner will address them.
The people who manage the property are polite and helpful, they always responded immediately.
The location was convenient .Near airport, and Kincaid park
There was parking
Clean, but not fancy, furniture and cooking utensils are adequate, but not opulent.
No laundry in unit, but there is pay laundry within complex; always broken.
Make sure that you upgrade the internet if you use it, there isn't enough except for craigslist, facebook, email, or text.
Overall, it met my needs, and I would stay here again. We stayed a month, and did upgrade internet for $50.
I was pleasantly surprised when I opened the door to this updated, incredibly clean apartment! Whoever does the cleaning for this apartment would make Monica Geller (Friends TV show reference) proud! The apartment is small but it's advertised as such so I was not disappointed. The updates are very modern and you can tell someone worked hard to make the place a nice place to stay. Not a good place to stay if you are on foot but absolutely perfect if you have a car to see the sights. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Thank you for allowing us to!
I relocated to Anchorage in January and I didn't want to live out of a hotel while I looked for permanent housing. This unit is updated and furnished nicely and has everthing you would have at your house. I didnt have to go buy anything. It's just comfortable and makes you feel at home. In my opinion the location is perfect. There are several places within walking distance to eat, but you can be downtown in about 10 minutes or the Diamond shopping area in 10 minutes. Bob and Carla have been great to work with and have made the process comfortable and seamless.
