About The Owner

We are a young couple, with a passion for real estate and outdoorsy activities.

The Owner purchased this house in 2010

Why The Owner chose Quebec

We are happy to enable you to discover this great area which is close to everything yet secluded. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do with friends and family. This place is in a private estate, there are no motor boats on the lake, only the sound of animals, very peaceful. We already saw a female moose, a heron, dragonflies, frogs, fireflies, starry skies, hummingbirds, etc. It is 1 hour from Montreal and the airport, 1h from Mt-Tremblant, 20-25 minutes from the trendy St-Sauveur and Morin Heights where you will find restaurants and the famous ski hills of the Laurentians, 15 minutes from Lachute which boast a great main street.

What makes this house unique

It is close to all the amenities of a big city, and the various activities that makes for a great weekend/week (Ski, biking, hiking, shopping, eating out, etc), yet it is very close to nature which is kept in its original state. The house itself is very spacious (with 10 feet high ceilings) and allows for family and friends to reconnect without being crowded. The natural light floods the first floor. We love taking a stroll towards the lake and hopping on the pedal boat to discover the place and swim right in the middle of the lake.

Guestbook comments from the owner

Très contente d'avoir choisie ce chalet pour retrouver ma famille de Bruxelles. On a passé de bons moments. Merci,

What a great Vacation.. My wife and 2 small children stayed for 1 full week. There were plenty of toys for the kids that we were not expecting. We bbq most days with the exception of the day spent at the water park in saint sauver. The house was comfortable and the owners very helpful and accommodating. I would recommend this place to anyone , and will visit again.

Thanks for the wonderful stay Celine.

Family Vacation

  • 1 of 5

Do not rent this house. Do rent in the area. We loved Morin Heights but our

experience with the owners of this house has been extremely disappointing and

frustrating. When we arrived there were wet sheets in the dryer. Wires hanging

from the ceiling in the living rooms. Broken window sills in dining room.

Light bulbs were burnt out. Extremely large mirror in main bathroom just

leaning against the wall. Broken ladder on pier, that we were blamed for.

Issues with internet that we ended up having to call the provider and work out.

We called three times, twice to Celine and once to her husband. Not one phone

call returned. Then to top it all off, we didn't get our full refund back.

Reasons given were: We left toothpaste in the sink. Floors needed to be swept.

I was pretty sure that is what the cleaning fee I paid was for. In our contract

internet was included, they then said we used too much data. Obviously they are

not set up for international guests. As I said do not rent here. We enjoyed

ourselves much to much in Canada for it to be marred by such unpleasant dealings

with an owner. As a side note, we have rented from others with no such issues.

Great Family Vacation

  • 5 of 5

We had a great time. the house was beautiful Our youngest loved all the toys that were provided. We all enjoyed boating and swimming in the lake. We visited Old Montreal where we visited the Labyrinth, duck boat tours, zip line and jets boats. The jet boat was definitely a favorite. The surrounding city had many more things to do. We will certainly be going back.

We also visited Saint-Sauveur. The water park was great and had something exciting for all ages. The outlets had many shops and we got some great deals.

We had dinner in Lachute. It was difficult to choose a place because there were so many. There are also some nice shops and a great place to get ice cream. It was a great week.

Owner's Response: Hello Lisa, thanks for this review. It was a pleasure having you as guests. I am glad the toys were put to use by others than my daughter and that you were able to enjoy the lake in all its glory. Montreal my hometown surely can mesmerize you for several weeks, as such we would love to welcome you or your family again. All the best!

Girlfriend Get Together

  • 5 of 5

This house was perfect for our annual get together. The kitchen was amazing & extremely well stocked with anything we needed. The property is like being in the middle of nowhere even tho it's pretty close to main roads & little towns for browsing & shopping.

Although we didn't use them there was a paddle boat, kayak and canoe on the dock for use.

Certainly lots of internal space with lots of living space & 4 good size bedrooms.

Would definitely recommend this property. Great value.

The owner was responsive & provided a great welcome package with lots of details.

Thank you Celine.

Great holiday!

  • 5 of 5

Everything about this place was awesome for our girls only getaway week. The views from the bedrooms were great, we had the feeling of being right there in the middle of the forest. Definitely a nature lover's paradise. We particularly enjoyed reading in the comfy screened porch, having lunch on the balcony, taking walks on the private roads where there are hardly any cars passing by. Also, we enjoyed sitting on the spacious dock every day, using the pedal boat and swimming in the clean water.

The place is exactly as shown, the location is convenient. We would definitely go back and would surely recommend it to our friends.
