The house is located in the small bay Lumbarajsko Racisce ('Loom-bar-aysko Rach-ish-che' - good luck with pronouncing it) which is located 1 km (0,62 miles) from the center of Lumbarda and 5 km (3.1 miles) from the town of Korcula.
The house has two 2 bedroom apartments. We are featuring only one of them.
One of the great advantages of our house is its location and peaceful atmosphere, surrounded by pine trees on one side and 50m ( 54 yards) down the road you can enjoy a swim or snorkel along the great rocky coastline. If you have children Lumbarda has two nice sandy beaches 1km away. The best and the biggest one is called Przina and its located on the southeast side of the village. The water is still shallow at about 80m (262ft) from the coast.
Across Lumbarda is archipelago of 19 smaller islands. Two larger ones are Badija and Vrnik with wonderful beaches and no cars! Badija has a 14 th century Franciscan monastery and church. We recommend viewing a cloister from 1477. with gothic arcades and arches.
You can reach and explore these islands with a small motor boat that can be rented locally or by water-taxis leaving from Lumbarda village or town of Korcula
Its is a truly unique place for a summer family vacation and in spring and fall for taking long walks around the island or riding the bikes along many paths among the olive groves, fig trees and many local vineyards.
Hope to see you there! :)

We are a family that lives between Korcula, Dubrovnik and Los Angeles. We absolutely LOVE this house and LOVE the island. At times we are not there ourselves, we like to invite and rent it to people to explore the island of Korcula themselves. If you wish to find out more about us, please don't hesitate to email us with any questions you might have.

Peace, space, ocean air, blue sky, crystal blue clean sea, picking wild blackberries, smell of pine trees, sounds of crickets, .... are just few things that we love about being here. Come and find out for yourself. :)
Ana i Zvonko, hvala ljepo sa sve!
My boyfriend and I stayed at this apartment in September 2015. We had a wonderful time! Ana and Zvonko were fantastic hosts and we enjoyed learning about Croatia over a glass of wine and a traditional Croatian meal.
The apartment itself is quite private, though also convenient to the beach and to town. We were able to start our days with a snorkel or swim just 30 m away from the bedroom. The apartment was very comfortable with more than enough space to relax. The kitchen was well equipped for cooking and we loved eating a home cooked meal on the porch.
Lumbarda is a charming town, and we were able to navigate the nearby surroundings by foot and by bike. We enjoyed some lovely meals in town and enjoyed touring the local vineyards. We would recommend renting a bike versus trying to use a car to tour the wineries.
We only wish we could have stayed longer!
My boyfriend and I stayed with Ana and Zvonko from June 22nd through to the 27th 2013 on the beautiful island of Korcula, Croatia.
The location of the newly renovated apartment is found in a quiet bay just 20 metres from the turquoise sea. It is a short bike or car ride away from Korcula town, and a short 10 minute walk from the town of Lumbarda where you can find a number of restaurants and a grocery store.
The apartment was clean, kitchen had everything we needed to cook our meals in at night, and an amazing patio to enjoy the view and warm weather.
We had some amazing seafood at a restaurant called Feral which has a patio overlooking the bay and perfect for watching the sunset. There is another restaurant just steps down the street from the apartment open for only 4 hours in the evening which serves fresh fish caught that day. Looks to be a bit of a local hangout, and everyone was very friendly!
Ana speaks amazing English, and was very helpful with any questions at all. Was great to learn a few things about the island over a nice glass of local wine!
There are a number of beaches in the area, a rocky one just steps away from the front door, and a few sandy beaches if you walk along the water both into Lombarda, and on the other side following the wall along the coast.
This was a great way to relax, eat some fantastic Croatian seafood and enjoy the local hospitality. I would certainly recommend this to anyone looking for a quiet stay on one of the gorgeous islands in the Dalmatia coast of Croatia.
We had a wonderful holiday in this apartment. It was a good location for exploring the island of Korcula and lovely to have the sea so close by. Ana and Zvonko were very welcoming and the apartment was very comfortable.
Lumbarda is known for its local wine called Grk that is very specific because it grows in the sand. You can view the vineyards along the road that leads to two sandy beaches - Przina and Bilin Zal. If you are hungry and not in the mood for a busy restaurant, with a 5 min walk from our house, Toni our neighbor has a charming terrace facing the ocean where you can taste his homemade local food.
