This beautiful, newly renovated 2-bedroom, 2-bath second-floor end unit condo sleeps up to 6. The bedrooms and living room each have a flat screen TV and telephone, and there is Wi-Fi internet access. The living room also has a DVD player, queen-size futon, and twin-size futon. The well-equipped kitchen has a bar seating area in addition to the dining area. There are two bathrooms, one with two sinks and a combination tub/shower, and the other with one sink and a shower. Located one block east of Mandalay Avenue, the condo is within easy walking distance of the beach, shops, restaurants, and nightlife, but is just off the strip so you’re insulated from the noise and can relax when you like. There is an outdoor grill available to guests of the building. The second-floor breezeway provides a cool place to socialize, and the unit has a private, screened balcony accessible from both bedrooms if you prefer your privacy. The building is a three minute walk from a public recreation center with pool, tennis courts, basketball court, fitness facility, library, and boat ramp.

What makes this condo unique

Island Breeze at Bay Espalande is one of the best locations on famous Clearwater Beach where there is year-round fun. There are nearby boat, wave runner, and kayak rentals, fishing and fishing boat charters, parasailing, bicycle rentals, sight-seeing tours, eco-tours, pirate ship, speedboat, and cruise boat rides, and more. There is a public park with a large playground set across the street, and nearby Pier 60 is the central location of many events ranging from arts and craft shows to offshore power boat races, triathalons, inflatables for children, and much more. Busch Gardens is one hour away, and Disney, Sea World, and Universal Studios are 1 hr and 45 minutes away.

We have been to Clearwater Beach the past 3 summers. This was the second time we have stayed at the condo building. The property manager was a great help getting us set up with the Island Breeze condo. She is very polite and has answers to all my questions. The first year we stayed there, she told me everything we needed was close by. It really is!! You can leave your car at the condo and after a long drive it is nice not to have to get back it. Restaurants, shops, beach and board walk are short trips by foot to get to.



Our trips have not been problem free, but the property manager and her crew were there to take care of things promptly....EVEN ON A SUNDAY AFTERNOON!!!! Everything you need is in the condo to make you feel at home. We will be back next summer. I have the contact information saved on my cell phone already! Can't wait to get back to Clearwater Beach.

Too much work

While the place was clean enough & nice. After paying for cleaning service the directions on the fridge had you washing & drying bedding & towels. The mchines were stackable & not very big. For the $ I feel I shouldn't have to do laundry. I don't mind cleaning up my meds or even starting the laundry but our last day was spent doing laundry.

Owner's Response: Hi Lee, Thank you for staying with us and taking the time to write a review. I'm happy that you felt the place was nice and that you found it clean. We provide linens and towels as a convenience for our guests so that they do not need to travel with or purchase these items. The need to wash the linens and towels upon departure has been our posted policy for the 8 years that we have owned and rented the unit and we have not received a complaint about it until now. I appreciate that you brought it to my attention. I have already spoken with my property manager to work towards a policy change such that housekeeping can have the unit clean and ready with fresh towels and sheets for the next guest (sometimes in a three hour window) while relieving the guest of the inconvenience. I will meet with them next week to hear their ideas. As for the washer and dryer, although they are stacked, I personally purchased them as part of the condo renovation and upgrade and they are full-size units so increasing their size is not the solution. Thanks again for your review. We will pursue a workable policy change.

Nice condo!

The communication was great, the condo was just as pictured & very clean. About 3 blocks to the beach and very close to the main strip. About a 20 minute walk to Pier 60.

Great location, worn out furniture

We rented this unit for Jan & Feb 2015. Great location, loved having 2nd bathroom & washer/dryer in unit. Unit was nicely remodeled some time ago. Futon furniture was very uncomfortable, throw pillows dirty with dried blood on one of them. We arrived to dirty kitchen counter & sink, dirty bath rugs, vertical blinds missing vanes (they were broken & laying in closet). I just cleaned and fixed instead of complaining. We also arrived to burned out/missing light bulbs which was quickly resolved by Belloise Realty. Also quick response to broken thermostat. Mattresses were very uncomfortable necessitating Aleve PM nightly. Considered leaving early due to back pain and lack of sleep but had plans to go to Key West after leaving Clearwater Beach. In Feb. after seeing 3 other units in the same bldg. with good furniture, nicely remodeled and hearing others who had rented #203 but moved to other units, I decided it might be helpful for owners and realtor to know about the condition of furniture & beds. I sent photos of throw pillows, rusted beach chairs, torn pool float on porch, reported frying pan with handle close to falling off, kitchen faucet needing replaced. They were "shocked" & called to schedule delivery of new mattresses which never appeared. It seems the lease agreement says you have to report all condition issues in writing within 24 hrs. of arrival. Therefore, they can't be sure we did not cause all the issues we noted. Really? They "inspect" before each renter's arrival. Really? I noticed the dates of reviews are scattered over a long time with long gaps so lots of renters gave no review. Only good ones are posted and I expect mine will be Dead On Arrival. We loved the area and the building but, like other folks we met, will rent elsewhere next time.

Owner's Response: Please be advised that we have little to no control over reviews that are posted on VRBO. We cannot edit them and we cannot remove them. We can only respond to them. The fact that the 15 other rated guest reviews for this condo are 13 five star and 2 four star reviews, lends to the credence of our response. We take great pride in our condo as we like to stay there ourselves on occasion and believe that where you stay on vacation should be as nice if not nicer than your home. Our property management, housekeeping, and maintenance team have an excellent reputation on Clearwater Beach and are all very disappointed in this review. You made mention that you would post this review if we did not refund you $1,500, however we found no basis for your refund. We take comments regarding the condition of the rental unit very seriously. In your case, your stay was for a 2 month period and we were not made aware of the issues you cited until approximately a month and a half following your move in date. Without being informed of issues in a timely manner, we have no opportunity to respond. Within an hour following your departure, we the owners and the property manager visited the property to personally inspect it. Our first reaction was that we believed you must of stayed elsewhere as it really is a beautiful and well maintained unit. Our inspection revealed that there were a few small routine maintenance items (such as repairing the kitchen sink faucet), but there was no basis for the other claims you made (such as the condition of the mattresses). The small stain on the throw pillow could of easily been chocolate or coffee not blood. We took action and had all the throw pillows cleaned. Additionally, some guests purchase and leave behind beach toys/beach furniture to be stored on the balcony. We agree that over time they become worn and weathered. We try to weed them out but you are not obligated to use them if they are not to your liking. Our property manager personally knows some of the people you claim complained about our unit, and after contacting them, they denied having said the things that you reported. Still to be complete in our efforts, we talked with all Team members and reviewed our policies and expectations. We always welcome feedback and suggestions, however we find your review to be out of character with the many positive experiences of our other guests.

Long Weekend Trip

Overall the condo was a wonderful experience for my friends, family, and myself. Everything was exactly as it was pictured online and very convenient to many local restaurants, shops, bars, and beaches. Walking to the beach took all of 5 minutes since it was only two blocks away and the ability to rent 2 chairs and umbrellas for $18 all day was nice so we only had to take towels and suntan lotion with us. Everything was in perfect working order and the condo was clean upon arrival. My friends and family fell in love with the location and look forward to a return trip.

The only downside was a bit of exterior construction was going on during the week and the contractors had left scaffolding up surrounding every window in the condo killing the views from the balcony and taking up half the parking lot spaces with trailers and materials which was frustrating as the building seemed booked up that weekend. Still this didn't stop us from having a wonderful time but would have been nice to get a small heads up on the situation.

Owner's Response: Thanks for the nice review. I am glad you found the condo and its location to your liking. I apologize for the exterior construction work. We as condo owners have all contributed to a special assessment to spruce up the exterior of the building. The contractor identified some exterior repair work which was necessary prior to repainting the building exterior. Delays due to weather and scope of work resulted in a change in project schedule. I apologize again for any inconvenience this may have caused. I will be sure to notify near term future guests.

Great Condo

The condo was great and clean. It suited 4 of us just fine. It is close to everything. We had a couple minor issues but they took care of them. I would recommend this condo to others. We are already thinking about booking for next year.
