Why Larry Fischer chose Puget Sound

Prior to moving to Bainbridge Island from Billings Montana, my wife and I had vacationed here for several years. We were always struck with the beauty of the area so when we had a chance to move here we didn't hesitate. We weren't disappointed. We have lived here now since 2003 and love every minute of it. We searched quite a while to find this property since waterfront property is hard to find and with 1 acre and a dock it was even harder.

Every morning Sandy and I spend time looking out our picture window at Fletcher Bay while having coffee and are amazed that we never get tired of watching the water and wildlife. The kinetic nature of water along with the variety of wildlife that use it is truly remarkable. It is a rare place to live and we are truly thankful of our good fortune to live here.

What makes this studio unique

Every day we see wildlife including Bald Eagle, many different migratory waterfowl, Blue Heron, Sea Otter, Seal, Osprey, Canadian Geese, a wide variety of song birds, Deer, Raccoon, and Fox..

Kayaking, hiking, biking, fishing, boating, sailing, birding, and gardening almost year round. There is always some kind of flower blooming here year round.

Guestbook comments from the owner

Everything about this place; location, deck, patios, dock, canoes, kayaks is WONDERFUL! Thanks.

Perfect Winter Weekend

  • 5 of 5

We spent an incredibly cozy February weekend watching the premium on-demand movies and TV with the beauty of the bay in sight. The suite is incredibly well thought out with cushy leather living room furniture, oversized sturdy ottoman, and soothing décor. The carpet is thickly padded and high quality. Nice track lighting with lots of dimmer switches for ambience. The heat is from a sleek high powered gas wall mount fireplace that makes for an even cosier stay. We easily put the kayaks in by ourselves and had a fantastic paddle to the end of Fletcher Bay: calm, serene, safe, and beautiful. Perfect for first-timers. Larry kept an eye on us and came down to help us get out and unload, he was so friendly and helpful! This free water amenity greatly improves the value of this already fantastic property, there is a dinghy and a canoe as well. As others have noted, the color scheme in the suite is neutral and sophisticated like a hotel. Bed is very comfortable, shower is large with great water pressure. We bought a lot of microwavable and ready-to-eat items and really enjoyed the full sized fridge and excellent, late model microwave. There is a hot plate and outdoor grill for cooking if you need it. The private patio has a fantastic view. We can imagine it is a truly magical spot in the summer but we had a restorative, private, and beautiful winter weekend!

Spectacular

  • 5 of 5

The unit and the property were simply amazing...even better in person than in photos. Well kept and maintained, clean and every detail thought of. We spent 3 nights and had a wonderful time. We met James briefly the first night and were told to contact him with any questions that we might have and then we were left with complete privacy, which is what we were looking for. We were back and forth to Seattle during the day on the Ferry and then back to our little paradise each evening. Breakfast overlooking the water, a quick paddle with the kayaks and then off to do what we wanted to do. If we ever get out there again, we will certainly stay again!

Wonderful family vacation

  • 5 of 5

We had a family vacation, my adult children and my grandchild were in both the Studio and 1 bedroom units. This was amazing we had such a good time. Larry really did think of everything from having booties for the kids and adults to use walking on the shore during low tide, to having kayaks for us all to enjoy. I am now Kayak enthusiasts. The studio and the 1 bedroom was wonderful, relaxing, grilling every night and eating outside on the family size table. Cant say thank you enough. Oh, by the way, like the others we never made it to Seattle, we didn't need to leave the island . Bryce -Austin
