Very nice & quaint home.
Very clean & comfortable beds + plenty of linens.
We had 3 sisters with 6 kids + enjoyed walking to the metro + Giant grocery store. We saved money by cooking our own breakfasts + dinners.
We stayed with 8 adults, and it met our needs very well. Nice neighborhood with stores, restaurant, and a little nightlife. Fun place to stay and visit. Just a few blocks from Columbia Heights metro stop, so worked well for going to the capital, mall, and our events. Space is a little tight, but what you would expect in a DC flat. Thank you!
This was perfect for our family. We had 5 adults and 3 children. It was great to be able to spread out with the 4 bedrooms and 2 nice bathrooms. The kitchen is wonderful. Eva was so helpful with the obtaining the parking permit. The neighborhood is very nice. We definitely recommend staying at this location.
Great experience for our two families with a total of 10 guests. Close to public transportation and also a nice 3 mile walk if your heading to downtown DC. The neighborhood was beautiful and we felt very safe. We enjoyed cooking in the well stocked kitchen and sitting around the large table to eat together. Eva is a very responsible host who helped us immediately when we had questions about parking. We would highly recommend Eva's place to stay!
Rooms are large and easy to accommodate plenty of people. We had ten in our group with six of those being kids. The kitchen is nice. We had everything we needed and it was a short walk to the Metro.
We (8 adults) stayed in this Columbia Heights Townhome from 7/2 to 7/9. This home was exactly as pictured. It was clean and convenient, being only a 5-7 minute walk to the D.C. Metro and Target. Eva was a great host and great to work with. Would not hesitate to stay here in the future.
This was a fantastic place for our group of nine (six adults, three children) on our recent family gathering in Washington. Everyone raved about how perfect it was -- just a 10 minute walk to the metro station every day, and a quiet block to come home to after a day of seeing the sights. We didn't use a car the whole time we were there. The home is very clean and comfortable, and very family friendly (the living room is well stocked with games, puzzles and DVDs). As fans of old homes (my parents live in an 1892 San Francisco Victorian), we especially enjoyed the old hardwood floors and woodwork throughout the home.
The neighborhood was fun to explore and has a lot of history -- we liked walking around and looking at all the old homes with their unique architecture. There are lots of good restaurants within walking distance, as well as a large grocery store that includes a sizable selection of organic products. We appreciated the binder Eva has for guests with her recommendations of nearby places to eat and shop, and there are brochures and guide books in the home for just about every major nearby attraction. People in the neighborhood were very friendly as well.
Just two things I would note, the hot water seems set at a rather high temperature, so anyone with small children may want to adjust the water for their child before a shower. The showers are also a bit funky -- the shower heads are high up, so shorter people get more of a fine spray while showering (something I'm used to, since the shower heads in my old home are just like this, but might take some getting used to for people used to a fuller blast of water). Otherwise, no major issues! We would stay here again in a heartbeat -- D.C. is a fabulous city, and this was the perfect place from which to explore it!
