The first thing you'll notice walking into the property is just how *organized* everything is. Picture frames with the WiFi password, instructions on using appliances, check out recommendations all laid out perfectly on the walls and countertops, or taped to the appliance. The wood burning fireplace is a great touch to the apartment. Beds were comfortable with additional sheets provided in the closest, the place was spotlessly clean, and the location is fantastic, being just a short drive from Northstar california resort, or a less than 10 minute walk to the Raley's market nearby. It has a fully stocked kitchen with some spices and cooking supplies, and the bathrooms came stocked with soaps, shampoo, sunscreen, etc with a thoughtful note to just take what you need, but leave what you don't in case it proves useful to the next guest.
If I could take off just half a star from my rating, it would be because there should have been a key to the garage left for us within the property, but it wasn't there. We searched everywhere for it, and a phone call to the management group confirmed that it should have been. While we lucked out with the weather being clear and sunny during our stay instead of stormy and snowy, I can see how this oversight could have greatly and negatively impacted us if the weather conditions had been different. But since outdoor parking made no different to us during this particular stay, and the overwhelming positives of everything else, 5 stars it is!
I highly recommend this property for a North Lake Tahoe getaway, and if indoor garage parking is a priority, perhaps a phone call ahead would do the trick.
We stayed 5 days in this condo and thought it was a great, central location to explore Incline village over the 4th of July weekend. The condo itself was clean and very well maintained. The board games and birds seeds were a nice touch to keep our kids entertained. One negative was the patio deck was not cleaned prior to our arrival and beyond filthy. I called the management company, Goldfish Properties, to see if they could hose it down and was told it wasn't worth their time which I found disappointing and unprofessional. So I had to use a broken outdoor broom and sweep it myself. Also the twin beds are very high. My 5-year old was trying to step down from the bed and slipped forward hitting and cutting his forehead head on the wood rail of the adjacent bed. So he ended up sleeping on the floor. Despite these mishaps, my family had a nice time.
The condo had ample space for three adults and one child. The bathroom and kitchen were clean and had everything needed for our two night stay, except a wine opener (quick run to the local grocery store solved the problem).
The property is located near the lake and within close proximity to other amenities as well. The garage is a tight fit for a crossover, but a welcomed addition on the property given the heavy snow during our visit. We would definitely stay at this location again and recommend it to friends.
I stayed here with my family over the Christmas holiday--and absolutely loved it! Despite various interests, activity levels and ages (we spanned between 18 to 94 years old), this was the perfect location and perfect trip for us! The wagon that the owner provided made lugging everything from our cars so much easier. The condo even fit all seven of us, our gifts and snow gear with a little room to spare!
Just as we drove up to the condo, it started to snow, layering the trees and mountains behind the condo in beautiful, fluffy snow. My elderly grandmother was a little nervous that she would have a hard time taking the few stairs outside in the snow, but it was easily done and the next morning, we awoke to a freshly shoveled pathway to the driveway.
We spent most of our days taking brisk strolls to the lake or hitting the slopes at nearby Diamond Peak and came home to cook dinner, cuddle up in the warmth of the fire and play board games (which were made available by the owner).
As we were spending the holidays there, the owners left us a bottle of sparkling cider, a sweet note and some holiday decor to liven it up a little. Thank you for allowing us to celebrate our first White Christmas! We'll definitely be back soon!
