Ko Olina Coconut Plantation is the romantic resort located near the island’s best authentic luau, world-class restaurants, nightlife, entertainment, drive to Polynesian Cultural Center, Hanauma Bay, downtown Honolulu, shopping, Waikele Premium Outlets (brand-name retailers), food markets, Hawaiian Waters Adventure Park (a swimming theme park), 16-plex movie theater, Historic Ewa Town, Hawaii's Plantation Village in Waipahu, Dole Cannery in Kunia, and a nice drive to the surfing town of Haleiwa. Local shopping centers and malls include K-Mart, Wal-Mart, Macy’s, Sears, Costco, Sam’s Club, island boutiques and pro shops.
Our unit is on one end of the building so there is only 1 shared wall and more windows on the other 3 sides of the unit than other properties.

The condo was a great fit for us. It was overlooking the pool which made for convienient barbeques and quick dips in the pool. All the furniture and set up was very new and clean! The master bedroom is HUGE - as is the master bathroom. We had mobile massage / spa services come over and had massages outside on the balcony! It was GREAT! The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need. Also, many of the past visitors had left spices and basic food items, which was great. Ko Olina is a little away from Waikiki, so you have to rent a car to get around the island. However, the peacefulness and calm mentality of Ko Olina is completely different than Waikiki. It was very relaxing! Also, if you go over to the Marriott Resort, you can access the parking lots of the private coves, by mentioning you are staying at the condos! I highly recommend visiting the property!
We thoroughly enjoyed this rental. The owner has a positive, constructive approach to her guests. Heck, we’ve already contracted for next winter. We’re a retired couple about 70. We spend the winter in Hawaii, so we’re living here vs full-on vacationing. (We keep our bikes and Hawaii stuff in a storage rental.) The pictures are accurate. Everything worked fine. We only used the master bedroom, but we both agreed (rare event) the bed was super comfortable. The pool is very convenient, especially if you have children. The Coconut Plantation, where the rental is located, is quiet with minimal traffic. Disney and other resorts are across the street, and their lagoons make vacation life or our life very easy. Since we’re living here, nearby (10-minute drive) is extensive retail in Kapolei, Costco, TJ, Target, Walmart, Ross, etc., and we’re very happy with Loft Yoga (Kapolei) and its variety of Yoga classes and other Yoga classes M-W-F at 8:30AM in the Plantation area referred to as the hammock section, a bunch of Palm trees that look situated for hammocks. Since we spend a lot of time in Hawaii, the community’s extraordinarily effective pest control surprised and delighted us.
We can't say enough good things about this place. The home was clean, comfortable and very spacious. The plantation was beautiful and peaceful. Shopping and the beach are a short walk away. Loved our stay! Can't wait to go back!
Our family was very please with this condo. It was well maintained, equipped and a very beautiful, quiet location. We can not say enough about the great location. Every evening after a busy day of sightseeing we enjoyed stepping out our patio doors to head for a swim and a soak in the hot tub. We also found the BBQ very handy.
Our family made great use of the cooler, beach chairs and other beach item in the garage.
Having the ABC store just blocks away was great for those days you ran out of bread or eggs.
Also in walking distance was the Paradise Cove Luau which was fantastic .

We have just had a holiday of a lifetime, made complete with the gorgeous and immaculate surroundings of the resort. The condo was very well presented, it has everything you would require, and a fantastic place to relax at the end of the day having been out exploring this fabulous island. The locationof the condo is probably the best in the resort with a swimming pool just outside the condo, which was never noisy or crowded, which our girls loved to swim early in the morning or at the end of the day. The 2 lanai`s were very relaxing, and great places for eating outside. All in all a fantastic resort and condo to stay at, could not have hoped for anything better.
The owner is very friendly,helpful and quick to respond to any questions you have. There are lovely 4 lagoons within walking distance and also Paradise cove which we swam when there was a Turtle in the water also on another day a Seal swam in there.
We did hire a car for the time we were there, and it is the perfect location away from the more hustle and bustle of Honolulu to explore the island, but even if you do not hire a car it`s still such a relaxing location, with still lots to do.
I cannot fault this condo/resort and would have no doubt`s in recommending this condo/location to anyone, and would love to come back in the future.
This unit was a great fit for our family vacation. We had 3 adults and 4 teenagers (17, 14, 14 and 14) in our party and this condo met all of our needs very well. The unit itself was very clean, spacious and well outfitted. The beds and bedding were exactly as advertised (very comfortable), the kitchen is well equipped and made meal preparations very easy. The two lanais are very nice. The lower one is right off the living/dining rooms, which make meals outside very convenient, and the upper lanai off the master suite is perfect for morning coffee or evening cocktails and relaxation overlooking the pool. The bedrooms are all very nice, spacious and comfortable. The master suite is nothing short of fantastic! The unit does not have its own BBQ, but the extremely close proximity to the BBQ at the pool made up for not having one on the lanai. The owner provides a nice array of coolers, beach chairs, beach towels and beach toys that will fit any family or group using this unit. This unit is truly only a 10 minute walk to Lagoon #1 at Ko Olina, and there is a nice variety of shops and restaurants on the way to the Lagoon. Several of the neighbors are permanent residents, and they were all very friendly and made us and our children feel right at home. The owner obviously takes a lot of pride in the decor and upkeep of this unit. She is very quick to respond to emails and questions, is very thorough in all business aspects of the rental procedure, and has chosen very good people to quickly and efficiently take care of any and all issues that may arise. We requested a mid-stay cleaning as our parents are using this unit for the last half of the month, and both the owner and the house cleaner were very agreeable and easy to work with. My wife and I have stayed in Coconut Plantation before, in a different unit, but we would definitely stay at this unit again and we highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great place to stay that is NOT in Honolulu.
