Wonderful experience and best value!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed in June with Caroline and Doug (see their review also) and others. Ditto on everything they say. We are already scheming further vacations around this rental! It was a pleasure to stay there. One of things I most appreciated was the ease of finding backups for all the essentials: toilet paper, paper towels, etc. There were plenty of high quality linens available. The kitchen was fully equipped - we made a game of trying to name something that wasn't available and couldn't. All dishes and cooking pans were of really high quality. I would add that Forest Grove is central to Portland, Mount Hood, the coast, Columbia River Gorge, Multnomah Falls, and Sauvie Island. Forest Grove also has wineries to tour, a sake distillery, farmers markets, and all the stores you need for your basics. Sorry we can't add to the reataurant list: the kitchen was so fabulous that we cooked most of our meals in! Emily was a pleasure to deal with, easy to reach, and damage deposit was returned promptly. The wi fi was a treat - worked everywhere in the house. I have absolutely nothing negative to to say about our stay there! (But my husband says it rained once!)

A wonderful place to stay.

  • 5 of 5

Our stay at this lovely home was wonderful. The home was well equipped with everything we needed. The perfect location for us near family, and fun. Everything was lovely, clean and well stocked, and the album in the parlor offered a nice history of the home. Emily was great to work with and so pleasant and accommodating. Maggie's Buns, Pac Thai and 22nd St Station are great places to eat. The Kama'aina restaurant was delicious. The only upgrade I would suggest is maybe a new grill, it works but hard to light and adjust the temps.

Perfect for our needs!

  • 5 of 5

What a cute place! Decorated beautifully and had room for all our travelers. Equipment for cooking and washing was available. This really helped us. Located close to our family in Forest Grove and the College. Wish we could have stayed longer. THANK YOU for sharing your home.

Comfortable place for family gathering

  • 5 of 5

I wanted to take a moment to thank you for the wonderful time we had in your Lone Fir home. We loved it from the minute we walked in. The kitchen was great for working with lots of people and was really well-stocked with everything we needed. We felt like we had stepped back in time to a place where the pace was slow and we could really connect with the family. We even gathered in the "parlor" one evening to play a game of charades! It just made us all feel so nostalgic. Thanks for helping us create another wonderful memory. We'd love to come back and oh, Emily was so accommodating and pleasant to work with.

Our Daughter's Wedding

  • 5 of 5

Everything could not have been more perfect for us! We only wish we could have spent more time at the house. We came together every morning and evening to find ourselves comfortable and well cared for in a nurturing space to retreat to after a long days work in preparation for the Big Day! We had the comforts of home, for family and friends with no complaints! The property manager was most helpful when welcoming us to the house and answered all our questions with confidence and ease. Your house became a very important part of our lives for 5 nights and we couldn't have done it without you! We highly recommend your house for gatherings of folks who are looking for an easy uncomplicated place to come together. Thank you!

Best Retreat Ever!

  • 5 of 5

We heartily recommend this lovely, large, comfortable and charming Victorian Farmhouse in Forest Grove to all our friends and relatives. The home is spacious, beautifully decorated and comfortable. The four large bedrooms feature great beds and are filled with antiques and collectibles. The well stocked kitchen is ample for 8 or so diners and the formal living room another 8 or more. The ambiance and hospitality of the historic farmhouse puts a smile on your face from the moment you enter the door and pulls you back in time over a hundred years as the stresses of every day melt away. I will be back with more friends and family for more fun local adventures like the David Hill Winery and the local restaurants and wineries. A+ rating from very pleased visitors who appreciated all the nice touches. Their price cannot be beat and the manager's caring and hospitality made it a pleasure from start to finish.
