Overview

About the property

Apartment, 3 Bedrooms, 2 Baths, Sleeps 16

This Rockaway Beach vacation rental is a great rental for large groups of people (and their furry companions) looking to explore the Oregon Coast. With magnificent views, a hot tub, and only a short walk to the beach, this is the home for you! It's even dog-friendly!

Just a mile to downtown Rockaway Beach, and less than 200 feet from the surf, this vacation rental offers quiet, natural beauty, and urban delight to suit the needs of every member of your large party.

This is a duplex made up of two separate units (call Vacasa for individual listings). It shares a spacious backyard with a firepit, a gas grill, and a picnic table and a spacious upper balcony with a hot tub, making it hard to be inside when the weather is nice and the skies are clear.

This home comes equipped with WiFi, cable, DVD players, board games, and a washer/dryer per floor. Each unit has its own kitchen for convenience, and both have dishwashers.

The upstairs unit offers nothing but natural light with windows on all sides, exposed wood beams and wood siding, plus a preserved brick wall for spunk. The simple decor and standard furnishings encourage guests to gaze outwards towards the ocean.

The upstairs dining room has an eight person table for large meals as a group.

The upstairs has a single bedroom and bathroom, with a queen bed and two additional sleeper sofas for up to six guests.

Downstairs is a little darker and more humble, but warm with its knotty wood siding and ceilings. A similar configuration allows guests an opportunity to lounge in the living room or out on the deck while a meal is prepared in the separate eat-in kitchen.

Guests will sleep well in two bedrooms downstairs - a private bedroom with a single queen, and a larger bunk room with a full and two twin beds. The downstairs also shares a bathroom, and has two more pull-out sofas for additional accommodations. Up to 10 guests may share the downstairs, putting the home's occupancy at 16 guests total. Dogs may join for an additional nightly fee.

For relaxing whale watching, scenic drive-type trips, or adventurous trips involving lots of hiking, biking, and day trips along the Coast, check out this stunning Northern Oregon Coast vacation rental.

About Vacasa, OR - Oregon Coast Office

Thanks for considering a Vacasa home! We provide full-service management for privately owned vacation homes, and like to think that we offer our guests the best of both worlds: the unique experience of staying in a one-of-a-kind vacation home, with the peace of mind that comes from knowing that the home you book for your special vacation is cared for by professional housekeepers and property managers.

Vacasa began in 2009, simply because our founder and CEO Eric wanted to find a better way to share his wife’s family’s summer home in Long Beach, Washington with guests as a vacation rental. Eric and his early team worked to build Vacasa on the premise that local employees can do what they love most (taking care of guests, homeowners, and properties), while the hands-off tasks of vacation rental management—things like marketing, filing taxes, and maintaining a website—could be handled by a specialized central support team.

Our passion is connecting travelers with the unique experience of staying in a vacation home, and we would be honored to be your host. Please contact us with any questions about this home—our team is standing by!

Thanksgiving 2017

 • 4 of 5

We needed a home that could accommodate 12 family members. I guess the house could do so but some guest aren't going to care much for their sleeping arrangements...The property is really a duplex with one bedroom up and two down. That means if the bedrooms are occupied and you don't want to sleep in a bunk bed setup in a room with others you get the pull out couches in the living rooms. And there is no privacy there...
The home is advertised as accommodating up to 6 cars...really 3-4 if they are SUV's or pickups. The carport roof is pretty low and small sedans maybe...
The location is great and you can walk down the steps to the short trail to the beach which is really nice. The view of Twin Rocks is amazing and can be seen from both units.
We did Thanksgiving dinner here and spent 4 nights! The weather was a little of this and a little of that. When it's raining and man can it... getting to and from the units means using the outside stairs which are not covered or enclosed. Your wet. For those of you who have trouble with stairs you should be aware that it is 26 steps up from the carport level to the top floor.
Overall we had a great time!

Great location, cozy house.

 • 4 of 5

The view from the upper deck of this house is amazing! In addition, our family of 14 enjoyed the hot tub, cozy feeling and easy walk to the beach. There are a lot of stairs! Our elderly parents were exhausted after the approximately 18 steps from the parking area to the upstairs unit. We took full advantage of the great washers and dryers in the units. The appliances are newer and nice. It's an old house and has some issues, but we felt it was homey and comfortable.

I've spoken with the management twice and was offered a insulting 25 credit for the Unusable hot tub. What a joke.

Owner's Response: We apologize if there was an issue with the hot tub during this reservation. The property manager has inspected it and found it to be working correctly.

Not good

 • 1 of 5

Very dirty house. Hot tub was gross it had to be drained cleaned and refilled. Inside is very dirty spider webs and floor. Outside had beer bottles cans and trash everywhere. Upstairs bath did not drain, no bulbs in all lamps and the cable did not work. We would never stay here again. We were offered an insulting $25 credit for hot tub.

Not worth the money :(

 • 2 of 5

The house is in desperate need of some repairs. The wood decks are rotting and one of the main railings are almost completely eaten through by decay. Also there were cobwebs and dirt/hair all over. The best part was the view from the upper deck. But the 2 floors are completely separate and you must go out side to change floors. Be careful 2 people fell down the stairs...
