My family went for a stay at this cabin, and although it had most of the ammenities described in the ad, many of them were subpar and we will not return to this cabin. The only reason it receives two stars is because the views were beautiful as stated. First, we booked this cabin because some of the members of our family were coming on a "working" vacation, and needed access to internet. The internet did not work and a couple of our family members had to search elsewhere for internet (coffee shops) and spend time away from the rest of the family (defeating the purpose of finding a cabin with internet). When we called, the management was very responsive but told us that during the holidays the internet just gets overloaded with visitors in the area and that there was nothing that could be done, which to me should be addressed in the original ad. We didn't get internet once the entire 4 days. Next, we had exactly 9 people as the cabin is advertised to sleep 9. However, do not come with 9 people unless you bring your own air mattress because the queen loft couch bed and the twin pull out bed will leave you aching, so much that we had to sleep on the couches downstairs. The dining room table was off balance and rickety. The cleanliness of the cabin was questionable, with spider webs decorating the halls, and the lighting was terrible. So, all the amenities were there as advertised, but in poor quality and condition. For the price, it is definitely not worth it.
This is advertised as "older & vintage cabin", however what they don't mention is not only is it older but a very neglected vacation rental that I have ever been in. The front door window was already boarded up with only a few staples holding it together which eventually fell out (because of the door opening/closing on it's own from the wind) by the end of our stay. Felt unsafe at nights considering how easy it is to break into the property with that. 75% of the lighting in the rental do not work. Garage door opener does not work. The furnitures from the couch to the beddings were very very dusty, as if no one has lived there for years. The only bed in the house that was comfortable was the master bedroom. The others were like laying on the floor - stiff and extremely hard. However, most of the appliances and important amenities were functioning well. I am rating this average because of the condition of the property. However the hot tub, fireplace and the fact that we had great lakefront view while bbqing and hanging out on the deck made-up for the rest of the conditions of the property. Would return if the property was upgraded and safe.
Property was in complete dis-repair, inside and out. On the day of our arrival, the cable tv was not working. Cool Cabins employee was there for a couple hours but had to return the next day before the problem was solved. Dishes were all dirty. observed cock roach in dish cabinet. Furniture totally worn out as were the appliances. Fresh vegetables froze in the refrigerator. Would never rent this property again.
