Why Mark Gibbs chose Holmes Beach

We chose to buy this 2 unit duplex to provide people the opportunity to experience the life of a true islander. You can get away from the hustle and bustle of every day life and enjoy the peace and tranquility the island has to offer. No walking experience is greater than enjoying the sites along the Gulf of Mexico.

The house was very nice and really close to everything

  • 5 of 5

The house was great. I stayed with 2 friends and my mother and there was more than enough room. It was close to everything and if you wanted to go off the island it was really easy. We mostly sat outside and enjoyed the patio. I would recommend this house for anyone. Currently one of my friends who stayed with us has already talked her family into coming down for vacation and staying at this property. We will definitely be back! Thank for everything!

Comfortable cozy home, great location.

  • 5 of 5

Our family of 6 enjoyed our stay at Mark's beach cottage. The home was clean and comfortable and all necessities were provided. It was a welcome relief to not have to pack bed linens and bath towels. The home felt larger than it looked in the pictures. There is plenty of room to eat on the patio where we could watch the fiddler crabs and lizards scurry. We had neighbors in cottage A but we never heard them, it was very quiet. The location is perfect. Convenient to groceries and a very short walk to the beach. The beach was uncrowded, even during Fourth of July. While we could easily walk to the beach, there was plenty of parking beside the beach access so this helped with hauling chairs and a cooler. Mark was wonderful to work with - super quick to respond and ensured all was well at check-in. He provides a lot of amenities to help make the stay (and packing) more pleasant. We brought our beach chairs and umbrella but very nice ones are provided. Having washer/dryer access was also wonderful. We enjoyed burgers at Skinnys and homemade ice cream at Holy Cow - both very close by. We loved the beauty and quaintness of the island. The ocean was like bath water. We will be back as 4 nights wasn't enough! Thanks for sharing your home!

I stayed here with my husband for my birthday weekend July 8 - July 11 and It was Amazing. Great price. Clean. Safe neighborhood. Walk distance to the beach through 29 street. Beautiful Beach and Amazing Sunset. We had a Great, Relaxing and Amazing Time here. We will definitely come back again. The Duplex is actually for at least 6 persons, is very comfortable.

It was just perfect!

We were two couples going on a fishing trip and stayed at this condo, which was even better than described on the web site. The owner (Mark) made sure that the place was cleaned and that we had everything we needed. Mark was very nice and easy to deal with. The unit has everything you need and is nearby the beach (very short walk to the beach), restaurants, Publix, boat launch, etc. You need to ensure you go to the beach as it is a beautiful one. We would definitely go back there and recommend it to our friends and family. Thanks again to Mark for his hospitality! Steph

Great family getaway!

  • 5 of 5

We really enjoyed our stay at AMI and it couldn't have been possible without this rental. 2 bedrooms and 2 full baths. A shared washer and dryer in an outhouse and a full kitchen available for use. The 4 minute stroll was a breeze and it was nice to have beach chairs and umbrellas available for use. To our surprise we also found sand toys that our toddler enjoyed using. While it is a public beach (to the best of my knowledge) it was very clean and surprisingly unpopulated... we even saw 2 manatees and a dolphin while at the beach! The water was very clear, calm and the views were beautiful. The sunsets are amazing there. Thank you for your hospitality and this memorable stay.

Great Stay!

  • 5 of 5

My wife and 3 daughter's stayed at Mark's place and found it to be very pleasant. We walked to the beach every day and were able to go back and forth as needed without any problem. There is a little parking spot by the beach and it's hit and miss, but this place was so close to the beach, it didn't matter. In fact, if you have a car, there are several places you can check for parking up and down the Island - and wherever you go, it's no-miss proposition. This Island is so gorgeous with such wonderful water's, you can't be disappointed. We ate at a few places on the Island, we also bought food from Publix or Walgreeens in walking distance - and grilled steaks/burgers/dogs on the back patio area with a grill already available. We were also able to wash our clothes and utilize beach chairs and umbrella's in the property shed. This is the place where if you buy stuff and can't get it on a plane back home, you leave it and pay it forward. (IMHO) We had some charcoal, lighter fluid and un-opened drinks we left in fridge for Marlene or the next vistor's. Also, the 2 rooms and pullout bed in the living room was perfect for our family and we always make the best out of all vacation opportunities, this was no different. Really an excellent experience for us, the place was very serene, great location for us and much thanks out to Mark who is very responsive via email for questions and providing per-arrival and end of stay exit directions. All very clear, very easy to follow. Thanks Mark!!
