Diane Drive, on the circle, is a special and private spot. Extremely low traveled road offers much tranquility and solitude. Abutting conservation land and quiet marshes, if you want a break from the hecticness of life, this is a great spot for you. Grab your flip flops, or go barefoot if you prefer, and a 1/4 mile away are the quaint bridges over Buck's Creek that bring you to Ridgevale Beach.
There is some surf and splashing around in Nantucket Sound, but also a inlet, and gentler beach as the ocean meets the creek. Those with young children really appreciate this.
The house was expanded with additional rooms and a partial second floor some years back. The house is suitable for year-round living, while maintaining some of the knotty pine and character of a classic "on the Cape" cottage.
Of the three bedrooms, two are on the first floor. One has a queen size bed and the other a full size one. Both bedrooms are comfortably-sized, one in the original part of the house, and the other is in the newer. The third bedroom, which has a full size bed, is accessed by a circular staircase. There is also an additional loft and office area that has a desk and a twin bed. The house has plenty of good natural light, yet the grounds are nicely shaded.
The house is fully applianced, including dishwasher, microwave, washer and dryer. The house also offers WiFi and cable on the two televisions.
There are small patios in the front and back of the house, plus a picnic table, and grill out back. There is also a private outside shower, which can be a real treat while on vacation!
The living room is large and cheery. It comes off the working kitchen, which connects to a dining area and the original living room, which is cozied up with a brick fireplace and mantle.
This second generation family home is a superb get-a-way, whether on your own, as a couple, or with family, affordably priced.
