My family and I just spent a week in this lovely house in Easton's Point and couldn't have been happier. There was plenty room for all 8 of us (4 adult siblings and spouses). My husband and I arrived at the house first and we chose the lower level bedroom because it is relatively secluded, like a private apartment, with a large bedroom, cozy living room with a large flat screen TV (important for my husband), and bathroom. It was very clean and all linens and towels were prepared for us just like a hotel.
The sunsets from the deck were so beautiful! We had a nice barbecue and enjoyed the large yard with plenty of outdoor tables and chairs.
The house is conveniently located to Newport and to the beaches and we were able to see all of the sights. If we come to Newport again, we would definitely want to stay at this house again! We give it 5 stars!
Thank you for a great weekend in Newport. Your home was lovely and clean, the rooms were perfect and everyone had a great time. The beds were so comfortable and we loved the closet organization. We were out in Newport all day during the weekend, so we mainly just slept at the house but it was exactly what we needed. Thanks again!
My sister and I signed up for the Newport half-marathon, so we rented this house primarily because of its close proximity to the race start/finish. We were traveling with my parents, grandmother, and my sister's two children, so the upper level / lower level division of the house wound up being perfect for our group. The entire house, lower/basement level included, was immaculate, well-furnished, and stocked with just the right amount of supplies (corkscrew, cooking utensils, spices, tea, bath towels, even toiletries, even beach chairs and beach towels!, etc.). There was ample closet space and every bedroom had a bedside table + lamp, and the decor was cute but not intrusive, so it felt like a nice blend between a homestay and a cute little b&b. The location was great- just a 10 minute drive from downtown/touristy newport, and just 2 blocks to the water.
The only thing I would advise is to bring extra blankets if you run cold, as there weren't really heavy comforters on the bed. We were 6 adults + 2 kids, and that was the perfect amount- any more people and it would have felt too cramped.
Great place, beautiful house. Only wish they have beach pass.
This is an absolutely delightful house, extremely clean and everything that you would need .Laura was truly a pleasure to deal with and always very responsive.
My Daughter wedding was at Eastern Beach was a 2 min drive from the house . The house had plenty of room for the women and my Daughter to get ready for her wedding . The ease and beauty of the house made my daughters special wedding day that much better .
Laura was truly a pleasure to deal with and always very responsive. The home was clean and had everything needed. The location was great as well, only a five minute drive to downtown Newport!
This is an absolutely delightful house, extremely clean and well appointed. The 4 double beds and other furniture were very comfortable, and all the appliances were top of the line. The cabinets held a full array of dishes, silverware, towels, miscellaneous beauty care products - in short, completely everything a home needs to be lived in and all your need are your clothes. The beach was a short walk away and Newport about a 5 minute drive. The owner/manager was always available by email or telephone. If we are ever in Newport again, this is the only house I would rent and I've already given the rental information on this property to two other couples. Be sure to do the Cliff Walk, tour one or two of the mansions, take a sunset cruise, eat at the Red Parrot, Annie's or the Black Pearl, and shop the great stores - in short, stay at this property and enjoy Newport.
