I've been in the cabinet / millwork business most of my adult life .
I've been married for twenty seven years and we have a twenty one year old son . I've been a Suwannee River fan since my parents had a place not far from ours in the late 60's .
I love kayaking , skiing, scuba , and about any other water sport.
Bernie Brigman purchased this cabin in 2004
. Although we had a river house some six miles down the river, our new cabin is much more secluded with very little passing traffic as we are located on a dead end street. Our property is 1.77 acres with 365 feet of river frontage .
If you fish or ski , we have a covered boat dock and there are three
boat ramps in close proximity to us .
If you like kayaking as we do , your kayak or canoe may be launched at several sites depending on the length of the trip you want .
You may also float down part of three rivers in a days time . Starting at the itchetucknee , from there down to the Santa Fe , and from the Santa Fe into the Suwannee .
Swimming and snorkeling is perfect as we are able to go up and down the Suwannee river and the Sante Fe river that is only two miles away. Our location is below all rocky parts of the river allowing one to travel all the way to the gulf. [around 62 miles]
My husband and I were looking for a secluded place in the woods, on the water, where we could bring our dog and escape so-called city life. I was thrilled to find this beautiful property. When we first saw it in person, we were so impressed. The photos are 100% accurate. We stayed for 3 nights and enjoyed every moment. We enjoyed the lanai where we had our breakfast and coffee each morning, something we miss already. We had all of our meals on the lanai and even used the provided BBQ grill. The boardwalk to the river is so nice. We even did a little fishing off the floating dock. Didn't catch anything but that didn't matter. Just being surrounded by such beautiful scenery was priceless. We did venture into the town of Branford one day for some groceries. A nice and friendly town. We had planned on visiting nearby Troy Springs and a couple other parks but decided just to kick back and enjoy our time at this "Tranquility" cabin (which lives up to its name). We will save those places for next time as we are hoping to rent this wonderful place in the future. Bernie, the property owner, was very nice and helpful in all of our communications. Upon our departure, my husband told me this was the best place I've ever picked for a getaway. For anyone looking to get away from it all and for some peace and quiet, this is the place!
My husband and I with our two daughters and a friend rented the whole estate and stayed for a week June 2015 we were even able to bring our ranger with us. had the best time. The convenience of the springs to the cabin was amazing. The boardwalk is beautiful it's a hike but, so worth it!! We did catch some fish, best of all our 3 year old reeled one in, we all just enjoyed ourselves so much!!
Bernie is a great person to book through obviously he has great taste to own that hidden treasure... We look forward to coming back, as soon as we can!!
the property is as beautiful in person as it is sown in the pictures
and very comfortable , also the owner is very nice to work with
we enjoyed our stay very much ,
The cabin is a perfect get away. We wanted to spend as much time on the river as possible. The boat dock was outstanding. The owner Bernie was very easy to work with, he answered any question we had and more. We are animal lovers so we really enjoyed the cabin being in the woods. We also got a nice surprise the neighbors dog Lucky would come over to greet us everyday. We put the boat in the water at a place called Ellie Rays which has a little place where you can eat lunch on the river food was very good. The locals were great about telling us things we could do and find on the river.
This beautiful cabin estate on the Suwanne River is all the anyone needs and wants. The property the cabins reside on is absolutely breathtaking. These cabins served as a great warm place to enjoy Spring Break and enjoy the water. My favorite amenity is the huge wooden deck and the wooden board walk to goes from the deck to the river. On both sides of the boardwalk you can see a hilly terrain with bright green grass on the crest of the hills and magnificent wild white flowers. A great place for a picnic or to sun bathe. I have great memories I will never forget at this property. Such a beautiful place :)
To celebrate the holidays my family of three stayed in the 2 bedroom cabin with my best friend's family of three and had plenty of space. It was well kept and had everything we needed and some nice extras like dvds to play for the kids. My parents rented the adjoining one bedroom cabin. It was nice to have them so close but each have our own privacy. Their one bedroom was incredibly spacious and clean with two futons and a larger dining table so we gathered there for meals, however the full kitchen was in our cabin so we cooked on our side, but it worked well for us. The huge spacious deck is the best draw about these cabins. Great for hanging out and bonfires. The lovely bridge down to the floating dock was great for a family portrait and we sat at the dock fishing for hours though caught nothing. Had a great time overall and Bernie is very flexible and understanding- we were even able to extend our stay unexpectedly at the last minute. Things that I would recommend to bring are a canoe or kayak, that would really have made it stellar. We went to the nearby Ichetucknee river to kayak and had a great time.
