About Cande'

We love the area so much, we finally settled on a perfect lot to build this little heaven away from home. You will not be dissapointed.

Cande' purchased this cabin in 2001

Why Cande' chose Gatlinburg

Gatlinburg is the gateway to the Great Smoky Mountain National Park. The View of Mt. Lecont is Spectacular. when you wake up and open your eyes Mt. Lecont is the first thing you'll see. 1 1/2 mi. from OBER Gatlinburg, the Ski Slopes, Great Smoky Mountain National Park, And Downtown Gatlinburg.

What makes this cabin unique

This Cabin is a true Hand Hewn Log cabin. It has no paint, no carpet, no sheetrock. Just beautiful wood and logs, You wont want to leave. Treetop Treasure has a few steps to climb but everyone has said it's well worth the climb. Comfy, Cozy, everything you would need provided.

Guestbook comments from the owner

We had a great time. It rained everyday, and we only saw the view once for less than 30 minutes, but we needed a break so we didn't care. We have a 2 year old and a 7 month old. We left them at my wife's parents and got some rest. Thanks for the great place, everything was as good as advertised if not better.

Beautiful views of Mount Leconte and loved the wood-burning fireplace. The couch was comfortable but, not conducive for cuddling. If you're going in the winter, do not go without chains or 4 wheel drive. Talk about a step drive! And you'll get your exercise just unloading the car with all the steps up to the cabin. It was clean and comfy and we had a great time watching it snow.

Owner's Response: Great view of Mt LeConte is right! Cozy, well appointed, authentic log cabin in the Smoky Mts. Yes the roads in the area can be steep, you are afterall in the mountains, they will also be narrow and have some sharp corners as all mountainous terrain does. The couch is dual power recliners with a console in the middle so comfortable for relaxing and watching your favorite program on TV or the view out the window or the crackling fire in the fireplace, but laying on to sleep or cuddle won't be possible. And yes there are lots of stairs from the parking area to the entry door which other reviewers have mentioned and said it was worth the climb! That view doesn't lie. Beautiful in every season with so much to do and see in the area and a great location to be close to town and the national park and have the view you come for....Treetop is a treasure you will be glad you found.

Owner's Response: The Smokies offer so much, such a diversity of things to do and see it fits all sizes, ages and budgets. The Great Smoky Mt National Park is the only national park that does not charge and entrance fee. One of the entrances to the park is located about 3 miles from Treetop Treasure. Sit on the deck and enjoy the wonderful view or soak in the hot tub after a day out sight seeing/shopping/hiking. No matter how you choose to spend your time, we are sure you will have a fabulous time at Treetop Treasure.

Owner's Response: This guest stayed in January and still was awed by the beautiful scenery and we completely agree the scenery is beautiful. The location of Treetop Treasure is perfect to maximize the view and short distance to town and the national park. No matter what season you come to the Smokies Treetop Treasure is the perfect place to stay, take in all the beautiful scenery right outside the windows!

Perfect spot

  • 5 of 5

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The property is clean, and the inside of the cabin was in excellent shape when we arrived. The views are great, and it is so nice to have this as the first thing you see in the morning. We were originally going to go and do some shopping/exploring/sight-seeing on our trip, but most of our time in Gatlinburg was spent in the cabin/on he property. It was just so relaxing to be able to have no agenda and just keep a low profile for the majority of the trip. The hot tub outside is very nice, and even though the weather wasn't too cold when we stayed, it was still very soothing. I would highly recommend this spot for anyone. If we decide to come back soon, this will very likely (again) be at the top of our list. Thank you!

Owner's Response: We've had other guests make similar comments about having all sorts of plans while they were staying but instead did a lot more staying at the cabin then they thought they would. We completely understand! Once you get in and see the clean, cozy cabin and look at the window at that million dollar view it's hard to leave! But if you do want to leave and see the area Treetop Treasure is in a perfect location just a short drive into town, the national park and all the attractions. Come and play or come and stay, relax and enjoy Treetop Treasure and the Smoky Mts!

Owner's Response: We really all do need to get away from the daily stresses of life and just recharge, reconnect and have a few moments to reflect on how blessed we truly are. Treetop Treasure is the perfect cozy cabin to do that, great location if you don't want to be far from town, or the national park or if you just want some quiet down time with an awesome view. Great location, great cabin equals great times!

Excellent rental!

  • 5 of 5

Beautiful cabin and location. The view was breathtaking. Easy check-in and checkout. Communication was excellent. Every detail was thought of when booking. We will definitely be back. Only minor downfall is that other cabins are close by if you want a more secluded property. However, this did not affect our stay at all!

Owner's Response: Thanks Anissa for mentioning how beautiful the cabin and views are and ease of checking in and out/communicating with us, we appreciate it. Treetop Treasure is located in a subdivsion (not a resort) so there are other properties surrounding it. There is a treeline between it and the neighbor next door, no neighbor to one side, a neighbor up and behind but you only notice it when walking up the stairs and chalets that sit down below the road which you can see their rooftops in all our exterior photos. Being in a subdivision offers some benefits such as tennis courts, fitness rooms, outdoor swimming pools (seasonal), meeting facilities and even some discounts at some vendors in town. You will have to drive to the fitness rooms and pools as this is a mountain community and none of the facililties are within walking distance of the cabin. We have a great location to town, the national park and all the attractions plus that magnificant view! Treetop really is a treasure!
