This Cabin is a true Hand Hewn Log cabin. It has no paint, no carpet, no sheetrock. Just beautiful wood and logs, You wont want to leave. Treetop Treasure has a few steps to climb but everyone has said it's well worth the climb. Comfy, Cozy, everything you would need provided.

Guestbook comments from the owner

We had a great time. It rained everyday, and we only saw the view once for less than 30 minutes, but we needed a break so we didn't care. We have a 2 year old and a 7 month old. We left them at my wife's parents and got some rest. Thanks for the great place, everything was as good as advertised if not better.

We didn't want to leave!

  • 5 of 5

The cabin was so cozy and comfortable. You could see the mountains where ever you were at in the cabin. I took pictures of it but it just didn't give it justice to the view. We will be back. The only complaint that I have is that we had to leave!!

Loved it !

  • 4 of 5

Let me start by saying the stairway to the cabin is well worth it for the amazing space and view you get! (My husband jokingly nicknamed it the stairway to heaven!) The space is beautiful and very clean! We loved all of the rustic touches and they had it decorated for the holidays! We are truly going to miss that gorgeous view from the upper deck while soaking in the comfy hot tub! We only had a few minor constructive suggestions:

1. Bring your own pillows, the ones provided are extremely firm! 2. The mattress is also very flimsy, whenever my husband moved at night the whole bed moved and we also both ended up having back pain during our stay. 3. We would’ve moved to maybe one of us sleeping on the couch, but the couch doesn’t allow for anyone to lay down. The couch seats two people and both seats recline (which was great at first) however, there is giant armrest/cup holder between the two seats so cuddling up by the fire or while watching a movie wasn’t really an option. 4. Bring a sleep mask – unless you don’t mind waking up with the sunrise. There are no blinds/curtains on the upper deck so it wakes you up bright and early! I’m an early riser, so it worked for me to brew some coffee and enjoy it out on the deck but for those who are night owls – come prepared!

We would recommend the space to anyone - it really is beautiful and close to Gatlinburg without all the noise/traffic of the city!

Owner's Response: Thanks for mentioning the cleanliness, our cleaning crew works hard to make sure the cabin is prepared and ready for each guest to have a fabulouse vacation. The bed pillows are memory foam and yes firm, however there are other pillows that could be used in lieu of the memory foam if they are too firm for guests liking. The seating in the main living area is similar to theater style seating, dual power reclining love seat with a wide arm rest/console/cup holder area in the middle. As Lauren said not good for cuddling but very comfortable for TV viewing. The view outside the bedroom windows most guests rave about waking up to. The logistics of putting blinds or curtains that could be drawn on the windows is not a consideration, first off it would be very difficult if not impossible to figure out a way to open and close them short of possibly having some that operate by remote and secondly we think part of the charm is to have that gorgeous mountain view right outside the window to fall asleep and wake up to, we're pretty sure most of our guests agree. For those that want to block out the light/view a sleep mask is a good suggestion. Great location with a magnificant view. So much to see and do in the area and Treetop Treasure is the perfect cabin to base all your activities from and don't forget to plan some time to enjoy the hammock, the hot tub, eating or having coffee on the deck. You're gonna love it here!

Absolutely fell in love with the cabin!

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I stayed at treetop treasure for our honeymoon. We fell in love as soon as we walked in. Everything was very clean and it felt like home. One of our favorite things about the cabin was the view we woke up to every morning. It was so pretty! We definitely plan on coming back to the cabin in the future.

Owner's Response: We love the view outside all the windows and yes going to bed and waking up every morning to see that lovely mountain is just THE best. Comfy bed and furnishings, well equipped kitchen, great location, million dollar view, yep Treetop Treasure is the cabin you need to book for your stay in the Smokies.

Cabin was beautiful with a magnificent view of the mountains!

  • 5 of 5

We were impressed with the property and all the amenities it had to offer. We loved having the two bathrooms, and the reclining love seat. Waking up to the view every morning was icing on the cake! The cabin was very clean and welcoming when we got there. We loved how convenient it was to get to town and enjoyed eating our breakfasts on the porch!

Owner's Response: The view and the location are superb! The cabin is cozy and well equipped. The perfect cabin to call home while you are in the Smokies. Close to shopping, attractions, the park, eateries, wildlife viewing, fishing, rafting, zip lining...and the list goes on! No matter the time of year it's the time for a Smoky Mt vacation and Treetop Treasure is the place to stay!

The pictures are great, but somehow they still don't do this cabin justice!

  • 5 of 5

This trip was our honeymoon, and we spent it living in a postcard. What more could I ask for? Everything about our stay was perfect.

When you're booking a hotel or rental online, of course it always looks great in the photographs. But sometimes you show up and it's not quite as nice, or not as clean - maybe you see a little mold on the hot tub or shower, an appliance doesn't work, a door handle is loose, the kitchen doesn't have all the utensils you need, etc...The sort of minor inconveniences you come to expect when traveling.

But this was the opposite of that experience. We didn't have a single issue, not even minor ones, in almost a full week of staying there. If not for a little wear-and-tear on the pool table's surface and some missed calls on the phone, it would have seemed like were were the first guests to ever stay there!

About the only minor complaint I can come up is totally out of the owner's control - a home across the street was renovating their roof and deck, and the sounds from that construction started at the break of dawn each morning. So the early morning noise was a little annoying, but not the fault of our cabin's owners. And it certainly wasn't enough to detract from the experience at all.

It really does feel as private as it looks - that was one of my concerns going in, but in this case it was not a trick of taking the photos at flattering angles. At least during the seasons where leaves are on the trees, the only time you notice the cabin behind Treetop is when walking up the stairs from the driveway. And the cabin beside Treetop is barely visible as well. Even the homes across the street are really only visible from the 2nd floor deck - the 3rd floor deck is tall enough to keep them out of view, unless you're looking down.

I can't promise you'll be able to recreate this part of our experience, but within two hours of arriving, we were treated to a double rainbow looking toward Mt. Le Conte, while we relaxed in the hot tub. How am I supposed to top that when planning my next vacation!? We've already decided we will be back, it's just a matter of when.

I cannot stress enough how happy we were staying here, and to top it off the owner was a pleasure to communicate with, too.

Owner's Response: Thanks Gary for explaining so well the way Treetop Treasure is situated. We often get the question how close are the neighbors. Well the cabin is in a subdivison (not a resort) so yes you have neighbors but the way the cabin is situated you have a very private feel. It is about 3 miles from town center of Gatlinburg, the same distance to the Gatlinburg entrance of The Great Smoky Mountain National Park. A few more miles out to the Art's and Crafts Community or over to Dollywood/Pigeon Forge and Sevierville. Authentic log cabin with a million dollar view, the perfect Smoky Mt getaway. We hope to hear from you soon!
