About Cande'

We love the area so much, we finally settled on a perfect lot to build this little heaven away from home. You will not be dissapointed.

Cande' purchased this cabin in 2001

Why Cande' chose Gatlinburg

Gatlinburg is the gateway to the Great Smoky Mountain National Park. The View of Mt. Lecont is Spectacular. when you wake up and open your eyes Mt. Lecont is the first thing you'll see. 1 1/2 mi. from OBER Gatlinburg, the Ski Slopes, Great Smoky Mountain National Park, And Downtown Gatlinburg.

What makes this cabin unique

This Cabin is a true Hand Hewn Log cabin. It has no paint, no carpet, no sheetrock. Just beautiful wood and logs, You wont want to leave. Treetop Treasure has a few steps to climb but everyone has said it's well worth the climb. Comfy, Cozy, everything you would need provided.

Guestbook comments from the owner

We had a great time. It rained everyday, and we only saw the view once for less than 30 minutes, but we needed a break so we didn't care. We have a 2 year old and a 7 month old. We left them at my wife's parents and got some rest. Thanks for the great place, everything was as good as advertised if not better.

Beautiful Cabin - Great View of Mountains

  • 5 of 5

We celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary in the TreeTop Cabin. Everything from booking to checkout went smoothly. The cabin was just as expected. Very clean and nicely decorated. We loved the hot tub and view of the mountains. We were a little surprised to have cabins across the road from us. I guess we assumed we were on the slope of the mountain with nothing below us. It did not obstruct our view. The cabin is set very high. Speaking of being set up high, be ready to climb steps. We were prepared for the steps up to the cabin, so it was not a problem. Keep the stairs in mind and what you need to carry up to the cabin, if you have any physical issues where steps may cause a problem. We loved being very close to the park entrance and we frequently parked in the lot at the end of Ski Mountain Road, near traffic light #10, when we wanted to walk through town. Cades Cove is a beautiful place to visit in the park. AVOID the weekend. It gets VERY crowded. We found the best time is a weekday and in the later afternoon/evening. The animals tend to come out more in the evening. Just allow enough time to enjoy the sites (old homesteads, churches, etc.) and drive the 11 miles. Take some beverages and food. Enjoy you stay!

Owner's Response: Yes the weekends can be very crowded and the area has events happening all time so plan your time accordingly. You can always go out on the town during the week, go out early on the weekend to the park then back to the cabin to relax in the hot tub, or the recliners, or the glider rockers and enjoy the view!

2 Day Getaway

  • 5 of 5

Had a wonderful time, cabin has a great view is is only minutes away from downtown Gatlinburg and the park. Saw a bear on Monday night from the safety of our balcony. The jetted tub was very relaxing!

Owner's Response: Lots of bear sightings from the deck of Treetop Treasure. We are pretty sure many missed sightings as well because you have to be looking at just the right time and it is easy to just look at the mt view and not the road below where the bear may be strolling on by. Even if you don't see a bear you will see lots of birds, probably a squirrel or two, or chipmunk, bunnies frequent the yard too. Great view, comfy, cozy, clean cabin, don't wait book now, we fill up fast!

Beautiful cabin with an excellent view

  • 5 of 5

We really enjoyed our first trip to the Smokey Mountains, and the Treetop Treasure cabin was the icing on the cake. A really interesting and open layout with lots of great sunshine and plenty of amenities. I loved waking up in the morning to the sunrise coming up over the top of the mountain I could see over my toes. So cool! The hot tub was a welcome addition after a long day of hiking (and spotting bears!), and the full kitchen was a great option (although we used it mostly for reheating after we found a pizza place around the corner). The owners are very attentive, and the cabin was nice and clean when we arrived. Easy to navigate the secure entry, and the neighborhood felt very safe (but I'm glad we didn't have to traverse those roads in the winter). Definitely going to miss that multi-level view - that's what sealed us on this place, and the pictures didn't lie. We also liked that we were out of the hustle and bustle of the busy Gatlinburg strip but also close enough to pop into the Smokey Mountain Brewery, Old Dad's General Store, gas station and other places easily enough. Also, great easy access to the main road (Newfound Gap) that goes through the heart of the park.

Owner's Response: Perfect review, not much I can add except to thank the reviewer for all the great info, like great nearby pizza place, mentioning the sunrise they enjoyed over their toes in the mornings and Treetop Treasure being the icing on the cake to their great time in the Smokies! We can't wait for your return visit!

Amazing place!

  • 5 of 5

We easily had the best views of any cabin around! We loved the hot tub and pool table as well. That paired with the reclining chairs and Netflix made it just as fun to relax in the cabin and enjoy the views as it was to explore the gorgeous area of Gatlinburg. We highly recommend this cabin to anyone visiting Gatlinburg!

Owner's Response: Great location whether you decide to venture into town or the park, both about a 2-3 mile drive down the mt. Or you may just want to stay at the cabin, enjoy the comfortable seating inside or out, the hot tub or a nap in the hammock. Whatever you decide to do we hope you decide to make Treetop Treasure a part of your memories.
