Review 9/5/2012: Our stay at Pretty Lake cottage was fantastic. Not only was the lake and surrounding area peaceful and quiet, the cottage was clean, neat, and very inviting. It has everything necessary to enjoy some relaxing time away from home. We felt very comfortable during our stay and the hosts did a wonderful job to ensure we had a great time. We highly recommend Pretty Lake cottage. We can't wait to go back.
My (Wayne) parents have had a cottage on Pretty Lake since I was a child. We bought our cottage in 1977 and our children have grown up here on weekends until adulthood. We have so many fond memories and are hoping others will have the same experience we have had.
Wayne Niles or Judy Niles purchased this cottage in 2012
Close to championship golf courses. This is a recent acquisition from prior neighbors and just listed 8/12. The cottage is on the sandy side of the lake and the sunsets are amazing. There are no neighbors on one side of the cottage, owners occupy cottage on the other side.

Our stay at Pretty Lake was delightful. The cottage is much more spacious than anticipated and the site on the hill means it is quiet and peaceful. With a beach and views of the lake, the experience is even better . It did get chilly one night so we turned on the propane furnace and it heated up quickly and felt very cozy. Would definitely return. Plenty of room for 4 or more people to enjoy a vacation at the lake. Plus the owners are nearby in case of emergencies and they are very gracious hosts. Thanks for the memories.
Perfect getaway. Pretty Lake is clean and laid back. We spent lots of time on the pontoon bost; fishing, swimming, playing cards. The beachfront was especially awesome. The cottage had all the incidentals we could need. We brought all our food and drink for the week and were able the fix 3 meals a day with ease. The cottage stayed relatively cool even through the 90-degree weather. Wayne and Judy are great hosts and were right next door in case we needed anything. Blue Gill Campground is just up the street and they have a small store for basic supplies like firewood and bags of ice. All-in-all it was a perfect week and will definitely look to come back.
The owners were professional and polite. The largest negative was that the lake was incredibly weedy and offered poor fishing. Overall we felt very fortunate and enjoyed our stay
One of the most relaxing vacations in years. Wayne and Judy have all the bases covered. We have nothing but praise for this place.

We had a great time! Cottage was very clean with plenty of pots, dishes, towels etc. Having ketchup, mustard & mayo already in fridge was an added bonus. Great place for couples or family looking for a relaxing time away
We loved the homey little cottage and were amazed at how clean it was. It was well stocked for our day to day needs - paper towel, tissues, aluminum foil, etc. We had everything we needed to do a little cooking, the gas grill was a plus. The beach and beach toys were the best. We logged lots of time on the paddle boats, did a little fishing, and enjoyed the raft. The fire pit on the beach allowed many relaxing evenings with our family. The beach is shallow which was perfect for our 3 year old grandson. I honestly cannot think of anything negative to say about Laf-a-lot. We especially enjoyed the hospitality of Wally and Zach. Thank you Wayne and Judy for a great week.
Thanks Wayne & Judy. We really had a great time, even my city slicker wife has asked if we could do it again. The lake is still the same as I remember it in the 60's and 70's. Crystal clear, the fishing is still good and you can still catch fish right off the dock. The trails on the state land are great to explore (watch for the bugs) or just soak up the sun on the raft. We had a fire every night in the fire pit and shined for fish at dark, we even caught sight of a turtle one night.
You have a wonderful place on a timeless lake. I would highly recommend this to anyone.
