I am a local girl, most of my family still resides here. I moved to Texas for twenty years, but moved back home in 1999. I loved Texas, but could never get the feeling of these mountains out of my blood. For me there is nothing like hiking or taking a ride in these beautiful Smoky Mountains.
Charlie purchased this Farmhouse in 2000
Why Charlie chose Waynesville
This property is so unique and warm. It has over 100 years of history and you can feel it. It takes people back to a easier time and to their childhood memories. Its like visiting Grandma's house.
What makes this Farmhouse unique
The large wrap around porch is a great spot to sit and talk with your family and freinds; while enjoying a cold glass of tea or nice glass of wine. We have a small stream on the property and you can just sit on the rustic bridge and day dream. If you like to shop you are only minutes from some of the greatest shopping in WNC......Waynesville also hosts some of the best award winning restaurants and breweries.

Perfect for our stay!
Charlie's house is charming and inviting with a true historical feel. We had a wonderful time with family and friends sitting on the front porch while the children played in the yard. The house is located within a short walk/drive to downtown Waynesville, and we enjoyed the boutiques and local food/breweries.
Thank you Kimberly....I hope to see you and your family again. The house looked great...I appreciate you taking such good care of it. See you next time. Charlie
Beautiful location, lovely porch, easy walk into town. Home was built in early 1900's, so expect some old fashioned claw foot tubs and charming kitchen sink. We enjoyed our stay, and would love to come back. House needs a little TLC, small updates would make it even more special. The owner was easy to contact, and remedied any concerns very quickly. Great house for a group of 8, plenty of space to spread out and enjoy the home and the view from the front porch.
Located in the heart of the Great Smoky and the Blue Ridge Mountains, Waynesville is a quaint historic town with beautiful views, shops, restaurants, breweries and festivals all through the summer and fall. Winter skiing is only 15 minutes away. The Farmhouse is only 30 minutes west of Asheville NC. Home of the Biltmore Estate. The entire area abounds with activities: fly fishing, walking, waterfalls, bird-watching, craft shows, motorcycle riding, whitewater rafting, botanical gardens, mountain biking, skiing, sledding.... Maggie valley is a short 10 minute drive. Cherokee casino is 30 minutes east. In the winter you can snow tube on the hill right in front of the house. How fun is that!!!!!
