Our cottage is very charming with an abundance of character. It is just four houses from the Lake's shore. It is also a short walk to the Bass Lake Village, where you will find restaurants, shops, and the Village Grocery Store. During the summer there is a Farmer’s Market in the Village every Wednesday.
There are two comfortable bedrooms downstairs. Upstairs you will find the large sleeping loft (enclosed as a bedroom - only opening to the bottom floor is the staircase). The loft has four single beds and a full mattress on the floor for extra sleeping or just lounging in the TV Area – a perfect area for the children.
The Patios and Yards are very adorable. The large back patio is a favorite area for eating dinner under the stars (it’s beautiful in candlelight). There is also a small relaxing patio next to the kitchen, and a front deck.
The kitchen is fully-equipped. And we also have a full laundry room.
All Linens, Bath Towels, Beach Towels, Paper Products & Soaps are provided. Just bring your clothes and food!
Boat Slip Available at Brier Dock...Subject to Lake Water Levels

We are a family of 6. Parents Kurt & Janice and our four children (3 boys and 1 girl) range in ages for 19 - 28 years. Bass Lake is our favorite vacation area. We started taking the kids to Bass Lake when they were babies. We rented several cabins over the years and then bought this adorable cottage in 2002. It was our first home at Bass Lake, and we have great memories of the kids growing up here. We all love the watersports in the summer and the peaceful lake in the winter - it's all quality family time!
The Owner purchased this cottage in 2002
Thank you so much for your wonderful, clean and fully stocked Cottage. It was so nice to have it fully stocked with towels, shampoo, detergent, etc! We loved your patio areas and the hammock - it was a big hit! Especially with the kids. We had a blast out on the lake boating, rafting, wake-boarding and swimming. What a beautiful and special place. Thank you!!! We love Bass Lake!
My family and I have been renting a cabin at Bass Lake every summer for the past 10 years. (Prior to that we took our family camper or tent camped.....We've been going to Bass Lake since I was a little girl......Elmer!!! may give you a hint for how long!) For the past 10 years our family has been making it a family reunion every summer. We had 27 family members there this year, renting 4 different cabins and celebrating my brother and his wife's 40th wedding anniversary!! I usually use VRBO to find our cabin and this year I chose this adorable cottage. It was the best experience ever. I have to say I was hesitant at first, even though everything about this cabin sounded awesome, it didn't have central air. I'm a freak about air conditioning. I took a chance, and boy I'm glad I did! First of all Janice the owner was soooo amazing to work with. She always answered all my questions right away and was so accommodating. Yes, it was a little warm at times, but we were at the Lake for most of the day and able to cool off at night with the fans and cool evening air. This cabin was the most stocked cabin I've ever stayed in. My only negative thing I could say was the parking. We had 2 cars and a trailer and it was a little snug and tough to get into, but we managed. Overall it was the best cabin we've rented....it was clean, stocked, and had the most accommodating owner I've ever worked with. Thank you Janice for everything!
P.S. Just an added thing to say about the owner... because my brother and his wife were renewing their vows at the Pines village church we needed an iron to kind of dress up...LOL! ( I know who needs an iron while at Bass Lake??? Well we did and the owner made a trip to bring us one) Rent this cabin...you won't be sorry!!
We choose to have a family adventure over Thanksgiving and this was our first trip to Bass Lake - my husband and I, our grown son, and our daughter with her husband and 4 year old son. First of all, Janice is the most responsive owner I have ever rented from - awesome communication! Thanks! It snowed so we had a white Thanksgiving and we were super cozy and warm! The provided logs kept the fireplace humming as we played games and did puzzles. I cooked a traditional Turkey dinner (I did bring my own roasting pan) and the kitchen met our cooking needs superbly. With the snow, we used the utility room as our entrance and exit and it was so handy to kick off boots,/shoes there and not have to worry about tracking in mud to the main part of the house. Our bed was super comfy also - my husband said the mattress was better than at home! The cabin has a great cabin character with modern day amenities. My daughter's family loved having the upstairs to themselves. Thanks! I highly recommend staying here and renting from the Whitlows :)
The house was exactly what we needed for our trip to Yosemite. Everything was provided and we felt at home. Thank you for everything
We stayed here for the weekend, 2 adults and 2 young kids.
The house itself was meticulously prepared, we had everything needed and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It also helps that Janice is so responsive and caring, adding a personal motherly touch to our vacation.
We will look no further - winter or summer, Yosemite or the lake, we found our spot :)
The house was very clean and very big.We purchased supplies but everything was already there. We loved the patio deck area, we ate out there every day.We are looking forward to going back sometime in the future.
