We enjoyed the location and the unit was just as advertised. Salty pelican was great for watching sunset. The cruise around the island was well worth it. Be sure to check out all the state parks near by. Little talbot was our favorite
We had a very enjoyable week at Amelia Island. This was our 4th visit to the Island. The condo was mostly as advertised and accommodated our needs well. It was nicely decorated, comfortable, well-equipped, and has great views from the living room and balcony. The cable service was basic and lacked the premium channels HBO and Showtime as advertised, but only a minor disappointment. Overall, we had a great time and will return to the Island in January. We would definitely consider this condo again. I do hope the owners try harder to respond a little faster to inquiries. Two phone calls were not returned for 2-3 days.
Our children and grandchildren were at the Island staying in different condos close by so we had lots of group walking, hiking, and bike riding adventures. The Island is a paradise for these activities. We also appreciated the quick access to the pool and the beach where we spent a lot of time swimming and fishing. Even though it was summer vacation prime time, the pool or beach was never too crowded.
Unfortunately, our restaurant adventures were not so special. After a group hike of Fort Clinch early one morning we were all looking forward to a great breakfast at Jack and Diane’s. What a big disappointment. Save your money; McDonald’s has a better breakfast. Dinner at Peppers was mediocre. Pizza at Pi’s, which was excellent on previous visits, was most disappointing. My daughter and family were with us and we ordered two large pizzas, both of which were served with scorched black crust. I’m glad to say that Café Karibo continued to excel as did the Fantastic Fudge ice cream shop nearby.
This condo is a great location on Amelia island. The unit is very comfortable with awesome views of the ocean from the living room, bedroom and balcony. The kitchen had everything needed for cooking any type meal, plus we used the barbecue grill once during our stay. Lots of nice restaurants if you are not into cooking. We did beach activities everyday including a cool down in the pool area. Lots to do on the island. We rented bikes and took advantage of the many shaded bike paths. We highly recommend this unit for a very relaxing getaway.
Perfect beach location & great balcony views. There is also a nice walking / bike path onsite.
Our stay here was everything we had hoped for -- and more. The ocean view from the balcony (which was off the bedroom and living room) was breathtaking and one of the reasons we chose this particular condo. We felt at home right away and the decor was very pleasing, tasteful, and the furniture relaxing. Everything was provided in the way of cookware, silverware, pots and pans, glassware and mugs, linens, bath towels (do take your own beach towels though), 2 beach chairs, beach bag, cleaning products and dish towels, coffee pot, hair dryer -- well, just everything anyone would need for a delightful stay. We had stayed at the Omni before and found this arrangement a lot more to our liking. All the instructions for keys to the condo, how to operate the TVs, computer hookup, etc. were well set out and we had no problems with anything our entire stay (five days). The bed was very comfortable and we both slept very well. If we go back to Amelia Island, we would definitely have no qualms staying here again. They've thought of everything for an enjoyable and relaxing vacation. Don't hesitate to plan a stay here.
