Guestbook comments from the owner

Today is Ed's birthday and we could not have found a better place to spend it than right here at "Serenity on Cedar".

I had either forgotten or possibly never heard what it is like to experience stillness, calmness, quiet time like we have here. "Serenity" is a perfect way to describe the feeling that we experienced.

I loved waking up and seeing the fog over the mountains cross the lake. We watched the wind blow across the water and enjoyed the sounds of the water running down the creekbed beside of the cabin.

For several years I have wanted to spend a weekend away in a log cabin in the mountains, but the opportunity never presented itself until now. This has been a wonderful place and time beyond what I had imagined. Normally when we travel, we drive around and check out all the local sites. Staying here at Serenity on Cedar leaves me with no desire to look any place further. There just cannot possibly be anything better or more to see than is right here.

We thank you for sharing this beautiful place with us.

serenity on cedar

The cabin was more than we expected. The different levels made it very private for the family to be together.

Everything was provided for cooking and they had a lot of board games for enjoyment.

The cabin was very clean and lake was beautiful.

I will go back and try it out in the summer months as well!

This place was everything we thought it would be!

  • 5 of 5

We pulled onto the property and was instantly amazed by the view. We had 5 couples who get together every couple of years in different parts of the country to have fun and tell lies as we call it. The 5 guys are all Desert Storm buddies who served together. This place was everything the reviews said it was. You can have total peace on the waters edge or live it up a little and have no problems. We enjoyed the cabin and the water activities. Also was happy town was not far away with some friendly people. I could write all that we did or saw but it falls in line with all the other reviews. Bottom line this place is worth the trip I'm ranking it right up at the top of the places this group has stayed!

A beautiful place

  • 5 of 5

We have a wonderful time at Serenity on Cedar. The views were amazing. We were on the lake each day and discovered a waterfall on one of the coves, amazing. The owners are caring and detail oriented ensuring our stay was perfect. We will definitely stay there again.

Beautiful, Comfortable, Peaceful, Fun!

  • 5 of 5

This site is absolutely beautiful! The Canoe and Kayaks were a blast to use! The lake was so peaceful! The cabin had everything you need to prepare meals "at home," with two fully stocked kitchens!

The space was perfect for a family vacation. Everyone (8 adults, 2 children) had their own space. Driving the lane to/from the cabin was an excitement! There were many different attractions in the area, from waterfalls and hiking on the nearby mountains to shopping and dining. There's something for everyone!

We loved our stay at Serenity on Cedar! We recommend it to all!

Great location to celebrate an early Christmas with the family

  • 5 of 5

We chose Serenity on Cedar to get together with our daughter and son and their families (4 grandchildren), and we could not have been more pleased with our selection. The accommodations are great, and the views are spectacular. Given our plans, it was especially pleasing that the cabin was so nicely decorated for the holidays, even including a lighted Christmas tree. Hard to imagine anyone not liking the setting. Would be a great place for a summer vacation, which we hope to do in the future.
