We had a great time and were surprised at how private our apartment was. Although it's in the city, the fenced in yard is surrounded by trees making it ultra private. The quiet and seclusion was exactly what we wanted.
The bed is more comfortable than ours is at home! The yard is so beautiful. We especially appreciated the garden with fresh basil for our salad. I wish the tomatoes had been ripe.
We were worried about the lack of a real kitchen but we didn't need to. The grill has a side burner so we had everything we needed.
If I were to make any suggestion it would be to update the photos. They don't do the home justice. We will be back..........soon I hope!
My wife and I wanted a quiet place in the Holland area and this one bedroom unit filled the bill beautifully. It's on the ground level so it 's a short walk from the car through the garden to the door. The queen bed is comfortable with a big TV on the wall as well as another TV in front of the big couch. We used the coffee maker and the microwave first thing in the morning. There is a small range and kitchenware if one wanted to stay in and fix a meal but we chose to go to our favorite restaurant in nearby Douglas. The patio has a table and chairs where we had breakfast and a friendly cat came by to visit. And next time I'll remember to get something to barbecue on the gas grill.
Sherry was so very gracious and went out of her way to make our visit special. A new, well-stocked galley kitchen was just added, making this the perfect place to stay. Close to everything, but still private. We enjoyed our winter get-away and plan to visit again. Note: The pictures just can't do this hidden gem justice.
Walk to festivals, restaurants and shopping. Short drive to area beaches, about 5 minutes. Two bikes available.
