Lulu and Richard
We love to entertain friends & families whenever we can. We would like to meet people from all over the world & introduce them to the real Brooklyn, get a taste of living like the locals. We always make sure that a portion of the income is donated to charity, such as community food pantries and women's shelters, etc.
Richard Morin purchased this townhome in 2007
The house was built in 1899 & remains in great condition. Guests will appreciate its charm and comfort.
This is a REAL neighborhood and everybody knows everyone. Children play outside safely.
What can I say, this is New York! We just had a film made on the story of Jackie Robinson, he grew up on our block. We have a lot of history here. Come and get a taste of it.
The thing that stood out most during this stay was the amazingly gracious hosts Richard and Lulu. They literally took care of us like we were family. The place was beautiful and well appointed. We looked forward to our breakfast in am and treats in the pm. Two bottles of water were left everyday for us before we went sight seeing along with the chalkboard weather of the day. A Keurig coffee maker along with a microwave and small portable type oven was also there in the apartment
The Here metro stations are within 10 minutes walking distance and will take you everywhere in NYC.
All in all
I would rate the stay 5 stars and would definitely stay here again if I come back to Beooklyn. Finally I felt pretty safe walking the neighborhoods at any time of the day or evening
We spent a long weekend at Lulu and Richard's place, and it was perfect. We could not have asked for anything more. This was our first time staying at a B&B and it was a great experience, we would definitely stay here again.
This was my first time as a guest at a B & B. We typically opt for private homes/ condos when traveling.
I was concerned that we wouldn't have the privacy we were used to. This was not the case at LuluM. We had the main floor all to ourselves. The place was bright and open with a wonderful master suite.
While there isn't a kitchen, all the kitchen appliances, dishware and utensils you need are there. Plus, with dozens of restaurants within walking distance there's no need to cook.
Staying here over a hotel in Manhattan was the best part of our trip. We were able to interact with neighbors and live like a local.
Thanks Lulu & Richard for your hospitality!
This is my second time staying here. Lulu is very helpful and makes you feel like friends visiting rather strangers, though gives you privacy as well. Their place is extremely clean and the bathroom is large with separate tub and rain head shower. Exceptional for older brownstone, but still retain the charm of staying in authentic residence. If and when I come to NYC will staying here
Lulu and Richard,
We want to thank you for sharing your very comfortable brownstone home with us. Your hospitality and warmth made our vacation that much more special by having a great place to relax and unwind after a day exploring NYC. Your help with getting us started our first day was just what we needed. The loft was quiet, the bed comfortable, and the neighborhood safe and welcoming. Daily breakfast and desserts were fantastic. We were truly spoiled. Thank you. We hope to return again.
Sincerely, Carole and Rux
This was our first experience with HomeAway and we could not have been happier! Lulu and Richard were very responsive and helpful. They live in the downstairs apartment but are not intrusive in any way! The very private rooms (super large living room - so much seating!), bedroom (super comfy bed!) and very large, modern bathroom were SO CLEAN - AWESOME SHOWER!!!! It is a beautiful space! Lulu prepared a beautiful, delicious, plentiful breakfast every morning which was left on a shelf just outside our door. Fresh towels were left daily. You cannot go wrong staying here. Street parking is a bit of a problem - but it is Brooklyn! We will definitely be back! Thanks for a great stay! See you soon!
Guests get to enjoy all that New York City has to offer. We are in close proximity to the Brooklyn Museum, the new Children Museum, Prosect Park and the Botanical Garden.
