About Audrey Penny

Thank you for your interest in my home. I purchased this home at a young age and lived there for many years. Memories include bringing my babies home, them riding their trikes down the driveway, many walks to the beach over the years, parties at the park, and good times with friends and neighbors. The house has been lovingly renovated and upgraded over the years and we continue to 'go back home' now and then. I hope you feel the warmth and love of this home when you walk through the doorway. Thank you for your interest and I hope you choose my home to create your special vacation memories.

Guestbook comments from the owner

My family has stayed in this house twice and we can't wait to go back again! We love everything about it! The house is just far enough away from town to feel like you are getting away but close enough to head to town for shopping, beaches and eating. It is also easy to take many day trips to the Sleeping Bear Sand Dunes. Leland, and many other places. The house is beautiful and well maintained. The owner is great to work with and always in contact! Can't wait to stay here again!

This home is a hidden treasure!

  • 5 of 5

We absolutely loved this home! The outside is deceiving - it is a true gem inside! This home has everything to feel comfortable, and even a bit spoiled! From the high ceiling in the living room and cozy gas fireplace to come home to, comfortable furniture, fully equipped kitchen and beautiful wood and décor throughout, we felt right at ease. The lower level was my favorite - the master suite was very large, as well as the 2 person Jacuzzi with gorgeous wood surround. The den / bedroom was quite unique with a rich wood slat ceiling - it was a very large, yet cozy room - beautifully decorated. This home is situated on a wooded lot, with lake access to Long Lake just down the road. For anyone unfamiliar to Long Lake, it is an extremely large, quiet and clean lake with great visibility. It is, by far, my favorite lake in the Traverse City area. The back yard is quiet and secluded. It has a deck which was perfect for sitting outside and relaxing with that morning cup of coffee, along with a nice fire pit setup great for ending the evening fun. Audrey was wonderful to work with - a real sweetheart. I would highly recommend this home to others, as well as we will not hesitate to rent again on our next visit to Traverse City.

What a great home!

  • 5 of 5

We recently rented this property and were extremely impressed! The pictures online do not do this place justice. Not only was the home immaculately clean, but it was very roomy with beautiful wood floors and counters, a great breakfast bar to sit at while drinking our morning coffee and 2 dens to spread out and watch tv. We shared the home with 3 other people and had more than enough room; we could have had 2 other couples stay with us and there still would have been plenty of space. The home has 2 full bathrooms and one half bath, which made getting ready very easy. There are 3 t.vs, which is unusual for up north rentals. And a gas fireplace to warm us up in the chilly mornings and evenings. The house was in perfect proximity to downtown T.C., only 10 minutes away, and there were also plenty of great restaurants right in the area when we didn't want to go downtown. The renter was quick to respond about our many questions and we loved the personal notes she left in the house (recommendations on where to eat, a pizza place that delivers, etc.). :) Overall, this rental was stellar and we wouldn't hesitate to rent it again.

Wonderful place

  • 5 of 5

Although we had trouble finding this house at first, we were greatly pleased when we found it. Location is close to Traverse City. The house didn't not seem that big from the outside, however, there was plenty of room. The house was beatuifully decorated and clean. We stayed four days and the only trouble we had was expired batteries in a remote control, which the owner quickly remedied. We went up to Torch Lake. We are planning on staying again next year.

More than we hoped for!

  • 5 of 5

1st time users holidaying using VRBO and were not disappointed.

Audrey responded promptly to our inquiry and answering questions we had. The home was very clean and well stocked, there was little extras to make you feel at home. We had 5 adults traveling it worked well for all to have their space and lots of common space to hang out. Certainly enjoyed our daily walk to the water and surrounding area not to mention nightly campfires. We hope we travel again to Traverse City, beautiful area and stay here. Thanks again Audrey! :) :)
