Great Location and Beautiful Property

  • 5 of 5

We had 4 families go here for Labor Day and had so much fun. Elena is so nice and answered any question we had via text immediately. We had fun in the pool, bbqing on the deck, visiting in the enormous dining/kitchen area, hanging out at the fire pit making smores, walking around the beautiful grounds. My friends and I didn't want to leave. Even though you feel you are so far from the city when you are here, you are really only a mile from beaches and nice restaurants. Perfect location for a quick or long get away. Next time we will definitely be staying longer. Thanks Elena for letting us enjoy your beautiful estate.

Family Vacation 2017

  • 4 of 5

Our family of 11, 8 adults and 3 babies had an enjoyable week at Amorini house - all in all (make sure you have the access code prior to your arrival). The house was plenty big and we loved the large space in the kitchen area. We were able to comfortably sit around the large dining table, even with two toddler booster seats. The kitchen was well equipped. There were plenty of bedrooms for all and we found the beds comfortable, however adding a Pack-N-Play for baby's sleeping made the rooms a bit tight. The pool was awesome and probably what made our week so great; allowing babies to take an afternoon nap and giving their Mom & Dad a little adult time in the pool. The location is great; close to New Buffalo, a few wineries and convenience store. We only did the beach one day since we had 3 babies to pack up and take. The beach was ok, but narrow. The house grounds are very wooded and the bugs were plentiful (if you're not a bug person, definitely not for you). We were unable to use the sand volleyball area because it was infested with sand wasps and the kids playset was full of spider webs. The fire pit at the back of the property is great, but very dark. Suggest bringing a large flashlight or lantern so you can see until the fire is going.

In summary, although we had a tough start to our week, we enjoyed the house and the time spent together!

Family vacation

  • 5 of 5

Lovely home in a great location. Quiet and private, but close to shopping essentials and lake front. Very fun for a family with a swimming pool, volleyball, trail walking, fire pit and games. Well equipped kitchen for cooking and serving. The grill is close to large outdoor dining table. Bedrooms are very comfortable. Our family really enjoyed this property.

Great weekend. We loved the house!

  • 5 of 5

We rented the Amorini House for a guys' weekend with some close friends and cousins. The house was a huge hit and we had a great time even though the weather didn't really cooperate (we were there at the end of April - the very beginning of the rental season). Even without using amenities like the volleyball court or pool, we enjoyed ourselves thoroughly. The open concept kitchen/dining/living room meant that everybody could hang out together the entire weekend even while doing different things. Beds were very comfortable and I slept very well. The place was very clean and well-maintained.

Our group agreed that we would all happily come back. Elena was professional and accommodating throughout. Definitely recommend this property for getaways weekends, vacations, etc.

"Awesome"

  • 5 of 5

I asked our older grandkids to list the favorite things about the house and one responded that " it was the most awesome vacation ever!" Our family of 16 (9 adults and seven kids ages 10 months to 11 years) had a fabulous week. Kids were in the pool at least 8 hours a day, huge dinners at the massive dining room table, great kitchen had every item needed for all of our meals, six bedrooms, one pac n play and three newer baths accommodated our entire family and fun volleyball/badminton court was used by all ages. Elena was very responsive to all of our questions..including where to find an urgent care facility for one of the grandkids. Wonderful artwork, decor and fun atmosphere. Would rent it again in a minute!

Great house, property, and pool!

  • 4 of 5

We recently had the pleasure of staying at Amorini House from 8/20-8/27. Our group consisted of three families, specifically 6 adults and 6 children ages 9 months to 3 years. The layout of the house was ideal for kids napping (bring your sound machines!) and retreating to your own space. The owner, Elena, takes obvious pride in her home and her guests. The pool was a huge hit with all and so convenient, especially with the glass doors of the kitchen overlooking the pool deck. The acreage, fire pit, and swingset were nice to have but we did have to fight off a good amount of bugs. The home is definitely set in the woods so come prepared with bug spray and layers.

We ventured to Townline Road Beach about a mile away where we found easy parking each time. This beach was perfect for playing in the sand and wading in (the water was too choppy for little ones). We loved Nani's Café for coffee and egg sandwiches. There's a playground and splash pad next to the New Buffalo Township center that became a daily spot for us.

Some pros/cons of the home and location to note:

Pros- spacious well-decorated home, awesome pool, huge dining table, washer/dryer, several rooms for community hang-outs

Cons/Things to Consider- faucet water gets extremely hot, there's no fence for the pool so kids need to be constantly supervised, not all rooms had great air conditioning, only 1 bathtub in the house, WiFi is basically nonexistent

All in all, we had a great trip and would stay at Amorini House again!
