Apartment for 4 in Campo de' Fiori! The apartment has been recently renewed and everything is studied to offer a warm and comfortable environment!

Residenza Beatrice is a beautiful apartment in the heart of Rome, located in Via di Grotta Pinta. The location is perfect, Campo de 'Fiori district is one of the oldest in the city and allows to reach Piazza Navona, Piazza Campo de' Fiori, Largo di Torre Argentina, Pantheon, Piazza Venezia, Fori Imperiali and Colosseum on foot.

With a short bus ride or a 15-minute walk you can reach Castel Sant'Angelo, the Basilica of Saint Peter and the Vatican Museums.

The apartment is on the ground floor, on a single floor and has been recently refurbished to offer our guests a comfortable, refined and luxurious environment.

The house is as follow:

- spacious entrance with mirror that introduces to the living room

- Living room with double sofa bed, TV, stereo, air conditioning and desk with computer station (possibility to use router for ethernet connection)

- Kitchen area, fully equipped to prepare meals, with microwave oven and dishwasher, counter with removable table for 4 persons

- Bathroom with shower, toilet and bidet

Residence Beatrice can accommodate up to 4 guests and is equipped with every comfort: Wi-fi, air conditioning, independent heating, washing machine, dryer, dishwasher, tv and stereo.

Bed linen, towels, dishes and a small selection of breakfast items (roasted slices, bisquits, jam, biscuits, butter, nutella, tea, coffee ..) are included in the service.

Via di Grotta Pinta is ideal for a stay in Rome because, despite the central location, is a silent and quiet street. The street takes its name from the arch "Grotta Dipinta" and from the fact that the arch was frescoed with the "Virgin of Grottapinta". The street also hosts the small church of S. Maria di Grottapinta.

With a short walk you can reach Via dei Giubbonari, Piazza Campo de Fiori and Corso Vittorio Emanuele II.

Campo de 'Fiori is one of the most renowned and ancient districts in Rome, with some of the most interesting tourist sites and is also famous for its many shops, bars and restaurants.

The narrow streets allow you to walk on foot or by bicycle and easily reach Piazza Navona, take a walk in Via dei Coronari (the paradise for antique collectors), see the Church of San Luigi dei Francesi with the masterpieces of Caravaggio. The streets of Campo de Fiori allow you to move on foot or by bike and can easily reach Piazza Navona, up to the Pantheon, the Trevi Fountain and the most important archaeological sites.

Perfect apartment

Left on 08/26/2013 for a stay in August 2013

We loved our stay in Rome. The location couldn't have been better. The apartment was so comfortable and just perfect for our needs. If we ever go back we will stay here again. Lucia even had a little tray of goodies she left for us.

Fantastic apartment in the historic center

  • 5 of 5

Not only was the aparment spotlessly clean, modern and well equipped, it was located in a terrific location oozing old-world charm. If staying in a neighbrohood of narrow cobbled strees and old buildings, near a great bakery, restaurants, plazas, buses and within walking distance of historic sites is what you are looking for, this is definitely the place for you. Our hotess was extremely helpful, arranged airport transportation and even rescued us one night when we lost our keys. Perfect stay in every way.

Wonderful apartment - great location

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I stayed in this apartment for a week two years ago; stayed for a bit longer on our next visit to Rome, in 2017, and will surely stay here again when we next come to Rome. Everything is exactly as described in the listing. The location is terrific not only for the reasons stated there, but also because of the proximity of a taxi stand, several bus stops and a tram stop, so that everywhere you might want to go is easily accessible. There is a good café, about three minutes away, patronized mostly by locals, where we start every day with coffee and a pastry -- and an excellent gelato shop about four minutes from the apartment. Lucia, the owner/manager, has thought of everything, including, in addition to the items noted in the listing, a plug adaptor, umbrellas, great water pressure in the shower, and a good collection of Rome maps and guidebooks. If any questions arise, she is easy to reach and is very helpful. The apartment has ample drawer space and hanging space - and hangers - for clothes.; there is also a good storage space for luggage. The place is in great shape, and is very clean. I can't think of anything I would want Lucia to change.

Best location ever!!

  • 5 of 5

This apartment is in the heart of Rome, but surprisingly quiet and tranquil. We could walk everywhere from this location. First followed the Rick Steves recommended route (book is on the apartment) which starts at Campo Di Fiori, a stone's throw from the apartment. Highly recommend you do that. Could walk to Trastevere, Vatican, Coliseum, Villa Borghese and more. Apartment is clean and well equipped (amazing use of space--even fits a washing machine in the tiny kitchen). Lucia is a wonderful host and makes great suggestions for dining. Only thing missing is s9me outdoor space (like a terrace) which is usually on my list of must haves. But with the entire enchanting city of room at your doorstep, you won't want to spend time in the apartment except to sleep--and bed is comfortable and apartment is quiet and safe so you'll sleep well. Highly recommend this place!

Wonderful accommodation in the center of Rome with the most gracious owner!

  • 5 of 5

Before I comment on the accommodation, I must say that Lucia Calcioli is the kindest, most generous and welcoming of owners! From the moment we met her until our final hug goodbye she was gracious, helpful and understanding; she even offered to reserve a car to take us to the airport. We have stayed in many apartments around the world and Lucia stands out as the best owner by far! The apartment itself is in an outstanding position in the very center of Rome. The building itself dates back to Roman times and is part of the original Theatre of Pompey, where Julius Caesar was assassinated. The street on which the apartment is located, Via di Grotta Pinta (Painted Grotto Way) is built upon the original location of the stage. The apartment is very compact but affords every necessity. It is spotlessly clean and freshly decorated. It says something for the thought and care that has gone into the design of the apartment that, despite its small footprint, it has a washing machine, dishwasher, television, comfortably sized bathroom, in addition to a spacious bedroom, sitting area and kitchenette. During the day the neighborhood bustles with locals and a few tourists who have strayed from the Campo di Fiore, just a few yards away through a secret passageway, but at nighttime all is peaceful and blissfully quiet. Excellent local restaurants are within a few minutes' walk, a bakery to die for is just around the corner on Via dei Chiarvari, the Carrefour grocery store is also two minutes' walk from the apartment, and all Roman attractions are within walking distance. We never felt the need to take a bus, metro, or taxi -- everything was easily within reach. I cannot recommend this apartment highly enough. It, and its owner, Lucia, are truly outstanding. BTW, if you are in need of an excellent and knowledgeable private guide in Rome, I can recommend Agnes Crawford at "Understanding Rome". Check Agnes out on Trip Advisor. She, like Lucia, is a treasure!

What a Find !!

What a Find !!

I'm so glad myself and my two daughters found Lucia s place in Rome. What a perfect location ( you can basically walk to all the main sites in the city ) The apartment was in immaculate condition, Lucia had her driver pick us up from the airport and he brought us right to the apartment. Lucia was there waiting for us and had arranged for us to check in early due to our early arrival to the airport. She gave us a very detailed tour of the place and had a few recommendations for restaurants which turned out to be fabulous. Lucia thank you very much for all your help and keeping such a great place for us to use when we come to Rome we will definitely be back to visit.

Lovely apartment and a gracious hostess!

  • 5 of 5

If this lovely apartment is available for the dates you are seeking, reserve it immediately! You'll have a primo location in the heart of historic Roma that is unparalleled. Lucia is a gracious and attentive hostess, and has furnished the apartment with everything you need (tasteful seating area, kitchen with all the essentials and plenty of fridge space, comfortable bed and ample closet space). She responded immediately to our reservation request and was conscientious about communicating the particulars via email, so there were no surprises in terms of the fee structure. Her offer to arrange our transportation from the airport (a reasonably priced upscale car service) was a Godsend--don't turn it down! It was so comforting to be able to meet Lucia in person upon our arrival. She was thorough when orienting us to the apartment and the immediate neighborhood, I.e. restaurants, markets, etc--she even brought us a pizza to sample her local favorite! When we asked for information about transportation to the train station, she went one step further and called the taxi company for us! Don't pass up the opportunity the stay in Lucia's apartment when traveling to Rome--you will not be disappointed!

Campo de ' Fiori market in Piazza Campo de' Fiori opens at 6am and closes at 2pm everyday (except Sunday).

Located in the heart of the old town, the most picturesque market of Rome is also one of the richest in history.

The name Campo de ' Fiori might suggest a flower market, comes from the Latin Campous Florae, Flora.

Mistress by the great Roman general Pompey, the market has been held here for several centuries. Every morning except Sunday, piazza fills with colorful stalls selling fruit and vegetables, meat, poultry and fish.

One or two stalls offer pulses, rice, dried fruit and nuts, while near the fountain, in the square there are flowers stalls.

The main attractions, however, are the huge baskets of broccoli and spinach, or vegetables already cut and ready for the soup, and fresh mixed salads.

In addition to a feast for the palate, are also a pleasure for the eyes. The best delis and bakeries around the square complete the range of products offered and this market becomes the place to make all necessary provisions for a picnic, in summer, if the weather is nice, cool off with your snack on the lawns of one of the many city parks

If it is sunny, you'll catch a few young people and older gentlemen sitting at the base of a statue in the middle of the open space. The statue is a brooding, hooded Giordano Bruno - an excommunicated Dominican monk burnt at the stake for heresy on this spot on 17 Feb. 1600. The piazza is used as a marketplace during the day, and party central for college students and tourists at night. When the sky gets dark and the street lamps go on, Campo de' Fiori fills with people and lovers wander arm in arm in the crowd. Over the buzzing of conversation and the occasional burst of laughter you may hear a young vocalist belt out O Sole Mio at the top of his lungs as change plunks into his accordion case
