We loved our stay in Rome. The location couldn't have been better. The apartment was so comfortable and just perfect for our needs. If we ever go back we will stay here again. Lucia even had a little tray of goodies she left for us.

We stayed at Lucia's place for 3 days in February. The apartment is perfectly located, beautifully designed and very comfortable. In addition, Lucia is a wonderful hostess who welcomed us warmly. You could not do better than this!
We arrived in Rome on 30 December and departed on 3 January for Florence. We asked Lucia to have a driver meet us at the airport which was perfect. It was very reassuring to see a professional driver with our names after an hour long wait in Customs for a 30 second glance at our passports. Lucia also arranged for us to have a driver from the apartments to Termini Station which was also a good idea in terms of comfort and reliability. The apartment is perfectly situated, with Vatican City and the Forum both approximately 20 minutes walking distance. The Tetatro Dei Satiri, where Caesar was assassinated, is right across the street! There was some street noise, but that is to be expected in a compact urban area. New Year’s Eve was loud, but we were in Rome so it made no difference to us! The Wi-Fi was fine and I’m sure the TV worked but we had far better things to do in Rome than watch TV. Make sure Lucia shows you her secret passage to Campo de’ Fiori where you can find fresh ingredients for cooking for yourself in the apartment’s perfect little kitchen or eat out at any number of charming restaurants. Lucia was welcoming and exceedingly helpful. We hope to come back soon!
Abbiamo soggiornato in due in questo delizioso appartamento per tre sere in dicembre. La posizione è centralissima e vicina ad ogni comodità. La proprietaria si è rivelata molto professionale ed ha soddisfatto ogni nostra esigenza. Consigliatissimo!
The apartment is very clean and well kept, just as represented in the photos. Being on the ground floor was nice since we did not have to haul luggage up and down stairs. The location is great being very close and within walking distance or a short cab ride to many of the attractions in downtown Rome. There are many nice restaurants and other businesses very close by, and the local plaza is just a few steps away with fresh foods for sale daily. The owner was very informative and helpful, she even supplied a pizza upon our arrival! I also suggest using her to supply the transportation to or from the airport which is quite a distance from downtown Rome. We had a great few days here and were very happy with the apartment.
The apartment was lovely and clean, smart and had everything you would need. The sofa bed was surprisingly extremely comfortable, and the facilities in the apartment were great. Lucia kept us very well informed via email, and organised taxis to and from the airport. Such a great location for an apartment, we didn't need to take a bus, but walked everywhere, knowing we could come back to our sanctuary for a rest at any time. Many thanks for an excellent stay.
Campo de ' Fiori market.
Piazza Campo de ' Fiori.
Opens at 6.00 am and closes at 14.00, everyday (except Sunday).
Located in the heart of the old town, the most picturesque market of Rome is also one of the richest in history.
The name Campo de ' Fiori might suggest a flower market, comes from the Latin Campous Florae, Flora.
Mistress by the great Roman general Pompey, the market has been held here for several centuries. Every morning except Sunday, piazza fills with colourful stalls selling fruit and vegetables, meat, poultry and fish.
One or two stalls offer pulses, rice, dried fruit and nuts, while near the fountain, in the square there are flowers stalls.
The main attractions, however, are the huge baskets of broccoli and spinach, or vegetables already cut and ready for the soup, and fresh mixed salads.
In addition to a feast for the palate, are also a pleasure for the eyes. The best delis and bakeries around the square complete the range of products offered and this market becomes the place to make all necessary provisions for a picnic, in summer, if the weather is nice, cool off with your snack on the lawns of one of the many city parks
If it is sunny, you'll catch a few young people and older gentlemen sitting at the base of a statue in the middle of the open space The statue is a brooding, hooded Giordano Bruno - an excommunicated Dominican monk burnt at the stake for heresy on this spot on 17 Feb. 1600. The piazza is used as a marketplace during the day, and party central for college students and tourists at night. When the sky gets dark and the street lamps go on, the Campo de' Fiori fills with people and lovers wander arm in arm in the crowd. Over the buzzing of conversation and the occasional burst of laughter you may hear a young vocalist belt out O Sole Mio at the top of his lungs as change plunks into his accordion case
