This charming 2br, 1ba was owned by one family for many years. Recently purchased from the estate, it has been extensively remodeled and upgraded. All new: paint, landscape, windows, roof, tile floors, granite counter tops, fixtures, decorating, and lots of upgrades.
Best of all - it is 50 yards from the coast with expansive bay views from the kitchen, living room, master bedroom, and full-length rear deck!! You can stroll miles of coastal trail from Pacific Grove to Marina.
Located between Lover's Point and the golf course, this is an outstanding location for diving and kayaking. Walk to your favorite eateries and attractions - the Aquarium, Cannery Row, PassionFish, Asilomar and the Pt Pinos Grill at the golfcourse. There's plenty of room for kayaks, bikes, golf clubs, and dive gear - so bring the toys!
Want to enjoy wildlife? We have watched whales and porpoises from the living room, spot sea otters and seals on a daily basis, and frequently have deer walking down the street in front of the house! Monarch butterflies can be found all over town in the fall, and there's more exotic wildlife at the aquarium. Comes with 2 guest passes to Monterey Bay Aquarium!
This home is located on Balboa Ave - one of the most desirable streets, in the best neighborhood in Pacific Grove. It's set one street back from Ocean Front, so you get to enjoy being close to the ocean, with more solitude and privacy.
Inside, find two spacious bedrooms with very comfortable queen pillowtop beds, and warm comforters. A trundle bed in the second bedroom expands sleeping capacity to five. The large living room has relaxing seating for many, while enjoying a glass of wine and watching the bay. On cooler nights, enjoy the fireplace and play music from your ipod on our stereo, or watch a movie!
The kitchen is bright, cheery, and very functional. In the morning, watch the sunrise over the bay from the cozy kitchen table, while enjoying Pavel's pastries and a latte or cappucino. In the evenings, whether making pasta for friends, or bbq'ing on the rear deck - you'll enjoy the accessibility to the rest of your party and all of the amenities.
Equipped with wireless networking, 2 HDTV's, premium cable, and iPod hookups. Dishwasher in the kitchen and washer and dryer in the garage.

We are native Californians, have owned our home in PG for since 2006, and underwent an extensive remodel so we can move here fulltime. We absolutely love our neighborhood and our neighbors - and know you will as well. Hiking, golf, fishing and kayaking run in our family, so we've got plenty of experience to give you good advice on all of the local activities
We have excellent recommendations for masseuses, restaurants, dive charters, whale-watching charters, kayaking beaches, and the all-important bakery.
Ron and Christy Lloyd purchased this house in 2012
We didn't start out to get into the hospitality business, but when this charming house became available, we decided to take the plunge. We have traveled all over the world and know what we'd like to see in a vacation property, so we made major investments in remodeling the home, and did it all with the vacationing traveler in mind. We wanted to create a space where we would want to spend a weekend, a week, or a month.
We're very close to the trail, golf course, Lover's Point, Asilomar, Cannery Row and the Wharf - you can park the car and enjoy a short walk to every possible amenity. And when you're done with an invigorating day on Monterey Bay, entertain with beautiful bay views on the full length rear deck.
The house is perfect. The view is wonderful and the acces to the waterfront is great. The beds were so comfortable and there was plenty of extra bedding available if needed. The bathroom was clean, there were plenty of extra towels available and little details such as q-tips and cotton balls were stocked. The kitchen has everything you could need including spices, bags and other misc items that past guests have left. There was a bottle of wine in the kitchen to greet us and it was very appreciated and thoughtful. The deck has plenty of seating so that you can enjoy the ocean breeze. We met Ron on the second day and he was very gracious and asked if there was anything that we needed. Obviously there was not. As I said before they have thought of everything to make the stay comfortable. Thank you so much for having us, we cannot wait to come back and visit again!
We loved visiting Pacific Grove for a week and staying in this beautiful, comfortable cottage by the bay. The location and views are spectacular. The home is very comfortable and cozy, and the owners are very friendly and helpful.
Loved this property! Perfect location - easy access to the water and trails, quiet neighborhood, and loved the water views. I slept well in the comfy bed! Having all the little extras was so much appreciated (soaps, coffee, sugar, salt/pepper, cooking oil, foil, etc), all the things you wind up buying when you get to a rental place were provided for you. The basket of "things to do" material was extremely helpful to get us quickly familiar with the area. Ron and Christy were very easy to work with, quick to respond, and provided great information about the property and area prior to our arrival. It is very evident they take great pride in their property. Thank you for your hospitality!
Our stay in the little house by the sea was spectacular! We wanted to plan a getaway but wanted to wait for a break in the weather. We got it! The weather while we were there could not have been more perfect. The house is charming and has everything needed for a nice, comfortable stay. Waking up and having our coffee in the dining area with the views of Monterey Bay was truly a delight. It was nice to come back to this cozy place at the end of each of our days. We bbq'd 3 of the evenings and went out to dinner 2 evenings. Thanks Ron and Christy for recommending Passion Fish.........it was great! We also had dinner at Il Vechio and it was fantastic! When we did have a couple of questions about the house, Ron and Christy got back to us quickly and were very helpful. We will be back!
This was my second stay at this charming home...the first time I stayed with my son, daughter-in-law and granddaughter; we all enjoyed the home. The beds are comfortable; there are plenty of linens and kitchen supplies. The neighborhood is quiet and excellent for walking along the coast or past the interesting homes and yards.
My second trip was with my husband to celebrate our anniversary; we walked, ate, shopped and took in a movie at the local theater. We particularly enjoyed Hula's and Il Vecchio.
I do feel that the cleaning fee is a little high, especially since we didn't cook there, but it's nice to have such a clean place to stay.
Thank you! I hope to be back again!
The Monterey Bay Aquarium is slightly over 1 mile away. Cannery Row and Fisherman's Wharf are also favorite attractions. We have whales nearly year-round, peaking in the spring and summer months. And monarch butterflies flock to PG in the fall.
