We purchased this house with good friends, another Portland-based family. Given that Seaside is just 75 miles from Portland, it has been a quick and easy get-away for both families. Seaside is a place that is special to all of us, and we have ties to the local community and many friends in the area.
Jennifer Frink purchased this house in 2007
We appreciated the home's proximity to the beach as well as the short walk to the Promenade and downtown Seaside. Both owners have young children, and the river estuary is just a 3 block walk where kids can play in relatively shallow water.
While staying in Seaside, we enjoy beachcombing, crabbing, clamming, kite surfing, stand up paddle boarding, walking/running along the prom, hiking Tillamook Head and Saddle Mountain, dining at the many wonderful restaurants in Seaside, Cannon Beach, and Astoria and shopping at the outlet mall.
The house is quite close to the beach in a quiet neighborhood. The house has 4 bedrooms and a futon in a small room off the breakfast area. The kitchen was very well equipped for cooking for a large crowd. The refrigerator and freezer had ample room.
There were games and toys for young guests. Bicycles were available, but due to the weather during our particular stay were not used.
There was a power outage kit, which was quite helpful during a brief period without power. The owners stayed in contact with us and offered assistance if needed, which was very much appreciated. The house is an ideal vacation setting for a larger group.
We can't thank Jen & Jason enough for the wonderful hospitality. The home is fantastic. Lots of room, comfortable beds, huge back yard & only a few steps to get to the ocean. August was the perfect month to get away to the ocean. We strongly recommend this home if you have a family & or pets. The neighborhood is quite & safe. Very peaceful & relaxing stay.
We had a very nice stay, it is much nicer than the pictures show.
Only thing I would have liked in the back yard is a firepit. 🌞😊
We had a wonderful stay: grand kids loved this place- and Marty our neighbor across the street was very entertaining and helpful.
My family of five booked this home for a weekend with another family of five. Our children (six total age six and under) loved the backyard, bunk beds, and short five minute or so walk to the beach. We found the home to have ample space to relax both inside and out. The home did have a large refrigerator (Safeway grocery is very close), a large washer and dryer, a barbecue on the deck, plenty of sleeping space, and the kitchen offered everything we needed. I found the booking process to be easy and the owners to be very responsive to our questions. We will definitely look to book this home again.
This was my family's first time visiting Seaside and we absolutely loved everything about this home! The kids especially loved all the board games and beach toys that were made available. The quiet neighborhood was also a perk. It honestly felt like a home away from home. We will definitely be staying here again!
