We have spent two weeks at this camp, every summer, for the past 13 years. It's the best two weeks of the year. I grew up in Bangor, but since moved away. We come back every year. We have family and friends out to visit us so we don't have to run to everyone's house. This is the most beautiful, peaceful, relaxing spot to be. The camp is large enough to have people over. The two couches pull out into sleepers, there are two beds in one room and a queen bed in the other. I love the open floor plan. The kitchen has glasses, plates, silverware, and pretty much anything you would need to cook with. There's a gas grill to cook out on the beautiful evenings. There is a lovely large deck by the water. They keep chairs for people to sit around and there is a bench around it to sit. It's the perfect spot to read or sit and talk with family and friends, while still being able to watch the kids play in the water, or fish off the dock. The beach is wonderful. Large enough to put out lawn chairs to lay in the sun, and for the kids to play in the sand. The walk in to the lake is gradual so you can walk out a far way. Great for kids, and those of us that just like to stand in the water to cool off. They have kayaks to take around the lake and explore. There's also a paddle boat. Always fun for the kids! Life jackets are in the bin on deck. The water is just a short walk down the stairs. We love it here! John and Dolores are wonderful. They are easy to reach if you have any questions. Thank you, as always, for allowing us to enjoy camp every summer. Looking for to this summer!
My husband and I stayed four nights . Beautiful area and a short walk to the lake. I thought the cabin was right on the lake so was a bit disappointed . They had all the boats and kayaks locked up for the winter though the weather was beautiful in the 70's the first three days we were there. Cleanliness could be improved . The bed in the master was VERY firm and we had to buy our own pillows. The ones there should be replaced. Otherwise we had a good time. We spent our time driving around the area and went to the Roosevelt Campbello International island one day. Wonderful area. Highly recommend that trip.
My husband and I travel quite a bit and although it wasn't quite quite our cup of tea we looked on our time there as an adventure to be remembered!
Booking and setting up the property for our vacation was easy. Very attentive owners. Arrived unfortunately to a broken pipe in the bathroom however no big deal. Nice amenities. Wi-Fi worked well but unfortunately due to location, dish network cut in and out frequently. Nice selection of DVDs to watch. Excellent view of the lake from dock. Awesome sunset. Excellent location in relation to Bangor. Bathtub and shower could have been a bit cleaner and coffee maker needs to be replaced but still workable. If you are looking for a quiet getaway, this is a great choice! Overall a nice time to be had.
My dad just got Married and we went to stay with him at the cabin, we had an amazing time! I live right in Bangor but have honestly never seen Brewer lake because it is not very accessible unless you have a camp, but it was stunning out there! The water was warm and very clean, I have two toddlers and the beach was perfect for days of enjoyment! The deck was awesome during the day to sit in the shade if you needed a break from the beach, and at night to enjoy family moments ( or amazing s'mores!!). There was a million things to do, boating, fishing, swimming, relaxing, hiking, walking, and many other activities we just never got around too! That was just outside! The cabin was very comfortable and you couldn't help but love it! Plenty of sleeping space, we know we used all of it LOL!!! There were board games and movies for everyone and a nice big kitchen table to enjoy meals at! We had an amazing time and I fell deeply in love with the place, the only complaint I have is that we had to leave! You are very lucky to be able to enjoy this year round and you guys have done a fabulous job making it very accommodating for all ages and activities! You can clearly see how much work you have done there! The place is clearly loved :) thank you for opening it up to our family, we made MANY great memories! I will miss the cabin :)!
