Kate & Joselyn purchased this villa in 2012

Wasn't sure about staying on a canal when we booked the Sweet Escape Bungalow, but it was lovely, We paddle boarded and kayaked the canals, so peaceful!! The water was so clear, we would sit on the dock in the morning and watch the little fish swimming around, it was like having our own aquarium! The location is very convenient to the grocery store and Wine Cellar. We would pack the car and drive to the beach almost everyday, lots of beaches to choose from and most had very few people! Joselyn was great, was very quick to respond. The house is well equipped for dining at home.
Mr. Groupers restaurant is a must, amazing Conch Chowder. West Indies, Pelican Bay's lobster feast is a must. Mango Reef was also a must!
Thanks Kate and Joselyn, we had a wonderful vacation!!
The house we rented from Katherine was perfect. It was very clean and secluded. We felt like the only ones around even though we were actually right in the middle of everything you could want. We found excellent Bonefishing very close to the house. We can't wait to go back!
This was our 3rd time to Providenciales & our 1st Stay at Sweet Escape Bungalow. We were so happy for choosing this Villa on the Canal. The Villa is very attractive inside & out. We love the looks of the Villa from the White Roof Tiles to the Covered Porch & the wrap around deck which has 2 patio door walkout's off each room. It was so enjoyable to get up and make our coffee using the coffee grinder & make a healthy smoothie with the Ninja Blender. The same Ninja as we have at home. We love it. In the morning we sat on the south side of the house in the beautiful chaise lounges or the south beach chairs on the dock. At 8am the sunshine is warm and a great way to start the day. Late afternoon & evening we enjoyed sitting at the table under the covered porch, playing cards or putting our feet up on the ottoman's and reading a good book.
There is a beautiful breeze that crosses the property which allowed us to open up all the patio doors and enjoy the breeze.
The Kitchen Cupboards are very nice, along with the Granite Countertops, SS Appliances, pretty white dish set & cutlery made dining very enjoyable. The Kitchen is well stocked with Pots & Pans, Baking Pans, Bowls, Tupperware, Drinking Glasses, Wine Glasses & more.
We really appreciated having the following items provided in the Kitchen:
Tin Foil, Saran Wrap, Spices, Sea Salt & Pepper, Sugar in a container, sealed containers, paper towel, toilet paper, coffee filters, blender, coffee grinder, etc. That was a very nice touch. We have rented alot of places all over the world but this was the only Villa that provides all those items that come in handy, so that we didn't have to.
When we arrived, Joselyn made us feel very welcome. She poured us the most delicious Rum Punch she had made & my husband enjoyed the locally made Turks Head Beer. Beer is quite expensive on the Island, so it was nice to know we could buy Turks Head Beer at Provo Beverage for $33 a case vs $69 at IGA. Wine Cellar sells Coors Light at $49 for a 24 so that is doable. They also have a wonderful selection of wine's & they have a tasting room. The local Bambarra Rum collection is delicious.
Josie provided us with a great map & a document Katherine created which shows you how to get to things on the her Top 25 List of Things to Do. Even though this was our 3rd time on the Island, we saw way more this time then all our trips combined. We slept like babies, very comfortable mattresses & furniture. Super Clean.
This place was great - location on that water with a few things for the kids to do. The house had a great kitchen with an island that made me want to come home and remodel my own kitchen. The only downside that we had with this place were the mosquitoes/no seeums. We kept the doors opens but the screens closed and myself and my children ended up being eaten the first few days we were there. It was suggested that we burn citronella candles in the house but I wasn't comfortable doing that. I also didn't want to spray down with bug spray just to hang out in the house or before we went to bed.
As long as the biting bugs are at bay, this place is fantastic! Great location close to everything we needed.
This Gorgeous Villa was even BETTER than we imagined. Built only 4 years ago, with all the builders upgrades & more. Items imported from NYC, made us feel right at home. Both bathrooms have floor to ceiling tiles, as these are expensive tiles. Kohl fixtures and lovely furniture. The centre island in the kitchen made it very enjoyable to prepare a meal, with the screen doors open to the balcony, with a lovely breeze coming thru. The Weber BBQ seared our NY Strip Loins that we got from IGA to perfection. The owners had a well stocked spice rack with Montreal Steak Spike, Chicken spice, BBQ Spice, Lemon pepper, Garlic & more. We were very impressed with the hostess & the spotless condition of the villa, with a light lavender scent, which I love. Upon arrival, Jocelyn greeted us with the most delicious Tropical Rum Punch. It was just what we were craving. She was lovely and told us about some great spots that we must go to, plus a few things that were happening during the week we were there. We went to the Fish Fry, Conch Shack and listened to Stanley Roots sing and play the guitar (as close to Bob Marley as we have ever been.) Friday Night Quinton Dean played at Shark bite. We heard that he went on tour with Prince a few years ago. Prince has a luxury Villa here, we rented a seadoo and followed the shoreline over to Long Bay Beach and saw his villa on the way. We continued out to this big ship that we were told ran aground in a storm. Then we cruised thru the Leeward Channel and docked at Blue Haven Marina. We walked over to Blue Haven Resort. It has the most beautiful infinity pool and a sunken pool bar. We went swimming in the pool and had lunch there. A couple came by and asked us to play beach volley ball so we joined in and met a lot of nice people from all over the world. They had not been anywhere except the resort and loved that we rented a villa. So we picked them up the next night and showed them around the island a bit and we went to Coco Bistro for dinner with them. The ceiling is a canopy of Palm Trees, it was truly a lovely dining experience. Then we heard the Anacaona (the longest bar) at the Grace Bay Club was a great place to relax and have a Cappacino after dinner. The guest directory at the villa raved about it and they were correct. We had the best time. There are hanging lanterns, tiki torches, sofas with comfy cushions under lit palm trees, around the outdoor fire pits, you could hear the waves crashing and the look up at the stars!
This beautiful property provided two large bedrooms each with their own full bathrooms, central air conditioning on the inter coastal canal that leads to the ocean! We reserved it for a week, paid a LOT less than we would have at one of the resorts and weren't limited to any one beach on any day. We rented a jeep for the week and went to a different resort (no charge) every day! We talked with people at the resorts and they were stuck at their hotels because cab fares were so pricy and they talked about how they didn't really see any of the island. We'd highly recommend this as a very viable alternative to the expensive resorts as it saves you lots of money and gives you the flexibility to drive around the island visiting many different resorts or beaches.
I will send you a copy of our Guest Directory containing our 'Top 25 List' of things to see and do in Providenciales, Turks & Caicos. We have a hard copy on all of our villas for you to take with you while exploring our island. Detailed directions for ease and convenience.
