About Craig V

Used to go to shore as a kid. Back in the mid 80's my parents bought a place in the Poconos and our vacations were now up there. Was a big adjustment but come to love the area. So much to do, 4 seasons of fun. Now I actually prefer the Poconos to the Jersey shore. Less crowds, no traffic. Just peace and quiet.

Craig V purchased this chalet in 2012

Why Craig V chose Poconos

Just fell in love with this house from the start. The fireplace is just awesome, love the character and the wood paneling. Very cozy perfect size for a small group or family. Brought from the original owners who built the house. Was in their family for 50+ yrs. There are original photos of the house being built framed in the house. The community is gated and safe. House is close to main swimming beach and basketball court.

What makes this chalet unique

Hot tub and cost.

Quiet and Charming

  • 5 of 5

The house was great! The area was filled with deer that were super friendly and stopped by the front yard at least once a day with all their babies. It was a quiet and peaceful neighborhood with nice neighbors. The house was charming and the perfect size. The hot tub was an added bonus that made relaxation that much easier.

Great Time!

  • 5 of 5

Place was as advertised and the owner, Craig was great to deal with. Great location in a community that offers pools and lakes to play and fish in. Craig informed us the day before our stay that new beds were just delivered. Always a great way to finish off the day in a hot tub with lots of deer wondering by.

This is a beautiful property.

  • 3 of 5

My kids loved how close the deer would come to the house and yard. They enjoyed taking the canoes out with my husband also. The hot tub and hammock were a great place to release. My biggest suggestion would be to place a couple of window A/C units in the home, as their was no central air conditioning. We did use the fans provided in every room, but it was still a little too warm for the kids to sleep in the loft. Ot

Loved it!

  • 5 of 5

I rented this place for my fiance's birthday weekend. We really enjoyed it there. It's perfect for a couple or a few friends looking to get away for the weekend. Our dog had a great time too.

Our one issue was that (for us) the bed's were not very comfortable (but the very comfortable couch more than made up for it). Other than that, the rental was perfect for us. The backyard is really awesome (hot tub, fire pit, grill, hammock, nice porch, lots of deer walking by). The house is very cozy and comfortable in a really beautiful area. Thanks again to Craig (who was a PLEASURE to deal with) for a great weekend in a really great house!

Cute cabin, close to Jim Thorpe

  • 4 of 5

The owner was friendly and easy to deal with!! The cabin was cute and close to many area attractions like Jim Thorpe. The hottub, fireplace and tvs were a nice. The cabin was clean, you'd expect to "rough it" a little bit in a cabin but it could use some upgrades- the outdoor lights did not work which limited our use of the outdoor ammedies. The outdoor grill was so rusted we were afraid to light it. The stove top also was not working, some of the burners did not work at all and some caused a strong burning smell (luckily we had brought an electric skillet). The bed was very loud, you couldn't move without it making a sound and the refrigerator did not have a handle. Overall however we enjoyed our stay and I thought it was fair price.
