My name is Brandon Mullenberg and this is unit Konea 112 at Honua Kai.

ABOUT THIS CONDO. This is Honua Kai Unit # Konea 112. This is a brand new, 915 square foot (plus 300 sq ft Lanai/Garden) GROUND FLOOR Two (2) bedroom condominium in the new Honua Kai Resort Konea Tower – the newest condominium resort to be built in Kaanapali (2008).

Only the Ground Floor units offer tall 11' ceilings, oversized lanai's, and very quick and easy access in and out (from the Lanai or condo door) ... no elevators needed. The lanai opens up to lush lawns & walkways with views of the mountain and resort and it has a private relaxing Koi pond off the lanai. My unit is conveniently located in the middle of the resort, within just a few steps to the Konea interior court yard or a quick close 1-2 minute walk to the resort pools and hot tubs. Our room is also close to the fitness center.

Included are many owner supplied extras such as beach chairs, a beach umbrella, an ice chest, boogie boards, games, beach towels, a guest book, a pack n play, bed bumpers, strap on booster seat, etc.

It has a King Bed in Master, Queen sofa sleeper in living, and Queen Bed in the Den converted Bedroom and is perfect for up to 6. All rooms have their own flat screen TV's (cable w/ On Demand). A Blu-Ray DVD is available in the living room. Wireless Fast Internet is also included free of charge.

I grew up and we currently live in Seattle, WA. My wife grew up in the Czech Republic. We have 3 little ones. A handsome 6 year old boy, a beautiful 5 year old girl, and our youngest boy is 2 years old. Our favorite getaway spot is Maui and Honua Kai.

Why Brandon Mullenberg chose Maui

We love Maui and after staying at Honua Kai Resort for the first time in 2009, we fell in love with this place. It was perfect for us. We have always struggled to find a nice condo with all the amenities we were looking for. Honua Kai Resort was the answer for us and that was what initially brought me to purchase my first condo at Honua Kai. Since then I have purchased 5 more ground floor units and now have 6. In my opinion ground floor units are the most convenient and the absolute best. They have quick and easy access to the outside, the pool, and everything else. We just love this place.

What makes this condo unique

All my units feature many added benefits, such as:

Great property, Great unit, Great location!

This was a great place for our family to stay. First, we really liked the location of Honua Kai. The beach is beautiful, it is close to great areas for snorkeling, surfing, fishing, entertainment, dining, etc. Second, the resort was perfect for our family, it had great pools for the kids, a great spa and many other great amenities. The resort had a very relaxing atmosphere that we really liked. Third, the unit was perfect. It was in excellent condition, the layout was very nice for our family, and due to the ages of our children we really liked that it was a ground floor unit. We had a great vacation and would love to book this unit again when we get the opportunity to return to Maui (hopefully sooner than later)!

Great For Families

I would highly recommend this property for families. The unit we stayed in, #112, is on the ground floor and backs up to a huge grass area, which makes it very easy to come and go, and for the kids to go play. The unit itself is lovely. The beach and pools are very kid-friendly. We had a great time.

Amazing!

Amazing! It was perfect for our family! It is gorgeous and well taken care of! It was so nice to have a pack and play there for our daughter to use! And the amazing deck! We used it for every meal we had in the room, and it was perfect for my kids to run and play in while we enjoyed the mornings and nights! The beach extras were a huge plus since we didn't have to buy them or find a place in luggage for them! What an amazing place! I would absolutely stay again! Brandon and Monty, thank you for being so great to talk to and work with!!!

Amazing Honua Kai location

The Honua Kai resort and this specific unit are great. The location is fantastic - quick walk out the front door to the car park to take off on adventures (no stairs, elevators, long hallways), a large grocery store across the street (easy walking distance, almost faster than driving!), and lawn access. The kids had their own huge backyard play area to run around right outside the patio door where we could see them - it was absolutely ideal. The only minor inconvenience is that the fitness center is right next door to the master bedroom and we did hear frequent clunking of weights at odd hours, particularly the very early morning. We aren't particularly light sleepers so it wasn't too much of a bother for us. The kitchen was well stocked and towels plentiful. The pool is incredible and our kids, ages 6 and 8, were in heaven between the immediate beach access and the three distinct pools. Duke's restaurant, right on site, it great as well. The property manager, Monty, was very friendly and helpful. The broom was missing when we arrived and he had a new on in the room within hours! The preliminary supplies for the laundry and dishes were very generous and much appreciated. We have stayed in several different VRBO units previously and this one was the best equipped kitchen of any we've rented. We would rent this unit again in a heartbeat!

A Perfect Vacation

We could not have asked for a better experience. Both the condo and the property were great. The condo was peaceful and spotless. It was well equipped for all our needs. The property itself was well maintained and of course the pools were amazing. Being right on the beach and having Duke's on property, an added bonus. Working with the owner and the property manager was done with ease. Can't wait to plan a trip back!

Terrific Location

This was our families second stay at Honua Kai and first time in this condo. We love the resort itself, our kids love the pools and slides. It's location is perfect, close to Whaler's Village, Lahaina and ocean front. This condo was perfect for our family. The den converted to a bedroom, was great for our girls, and we didn't mind sharing one GIANT bathroom. The amenities were modern and well cared for. Having a kitchen saved lots of money, as we were able to eat most meals at the condo, out on the big, beautiful lanai. We liked being on the ground floor, as it was easy to come and go to the pool. Thank you Brandon for a fabulous family vacation at your condo! We can't wait to be able to return again!
