Great get away with the family!

  • 5 of 5

My family of four along with my brother's family of 4 plus mom and dad met here because it was a pretty central location. We have young children (6 months - 5 years old) and we were looking forward to a rural area in the hills where we could get away from the city and relax a bit. This was the perfect spot. The view was gorgeous, the house was very nice with lots of features but still had a homey feel to it. Bob (property manager) was very helpful and made sure we were taken care of. There is plenty of outdoor activity and the weather was great. The house has a lot of property around it where the kids can run and play. We enjoyed our fires outside on the patio at night and the sky was perfectly clear. We far enough away from everyone not to be bothered but with a good grocery store right up the road we were close enough to anything we needed. This was a great vacation.

Great mountain lodge

  • 5 of 5

Beautiful home! Plenty of room for part of my family. Love the outdoor space and the beautiful kitchen.

Stores and fishing are nearby. The views are gorgeous!

The only drawbacks was a lack of curtains in the bedrooms. If you don't have little babies than its probably not an issue. But for a mom trying to nap a 6 month old it was very bright in the bedrooms! Also seemed to have a lady bug problem as they loved the kitchen windows in the kitchen/dining room.

All and all the home was beautiful and Bob was very accomadating.

Absolutely beautiful

  • 5 of 5

Absolutely beautiful property with amazing views of the lake and mountain tops. BOB, the caretaker was awesome, funny, and very knowledgeable at the same time! He was a phone call away with anything we needed and was such a big help with the late night camp fire for s’mores. This house was absolutely perfect in every way for all five couples. We were in Arkansas for the beautiful mountain trails and marina that it offered boat tours and hiking. Excellent in all respects. Beautiful lake views. The house was well equipped with every imaginable utensil. Comfortable and well designed. Can't imagine how it could be more perfect.

Great, Excellent, Out of Sight, The Bees Knees

  • 5 of 5

I've stayed in cabin before in all different types of atmospheres and in many places but none as good and fun as this one. Jim really has set the bar for my family and I, we greatly enjoyed this cabin and the small town feel that went along with the experience. Bob, Roxy, & Reed were just a few of the nicest people we meet on our stay. Bob was so awesome he's such a charming guy and was always there right when we needed him, Roxy was very knowledgeable the marina was amazing. We meet Reed at the marina, he took us across the lake to the mountain and we made an attempt at it. This cabin and town was some of the most beautiful land and lodging I have witnessed . I don't know where the next family getaway will be but I only hope it will be as fun, welcoming, and beautiful as this was. Kudos to everyone that made our experience a great one in Greers Ferry, we'll see you soon. Charles White.

New Year's Trip

  • 5 of 5

This house was everything we hoped it would be. We had 13 people, with 5 kids ranging in ages from 6-14. There was plenty of room for everyone. Having a full bathroom in every bedroom was such a perk. Absolutely beautiful property with amazing views of the lake. Robert, the caretaker was awesome! He was a phone call away with anything we needed and was such a big help. If there is any down side at all to the house, and that debatable, it would be windows. While they make for unbelievable view, they also make for a lot of sun. It is very bright at all times of the day and at times got to be a little warm if you were sitting near them. Again, if you're not bothered by a lot of sun, you'll be great! This was a great experience for our entire family. We loved it and would highly recommend it to anyone.

Map

Some call it the 'Aspen of Arkansas' - pure mountain air, crystal clear water, and pristine countryside. Take a sunset cruise on Greers Ferry Lake or go trout fishing on the world-famous Little Red River. Whether you want to explore the mountains, valleys and caves or play a picturesque 18 holes, this resort area offers it all. 'Greers', as it is affectionately called, holds the enchantment of days gone by - an unhurried way of life where time spent with family and friends is the priority of the day.

Heber Springs, and the surrounding Greers Ferry Lake/Little Red River area, is one of the premier resort destinations in the Arkansas Ozark Mountains. Our terrain is very similar to the Smoky Mountains in Tennessee and North Carolina. Our mountains are just a little smaller. People who visit here often comment they had no idea the state was so beautiful. Whether you are looking for lakefront, lakeview, riverfront or acreage, this north central Arkansas location offers it all.

Many people want to take advantage of small weddings at the property. We limit attendance to a total of 35 people as the maximum. The home does provide a very nice location for small weddings. A fee of $400 is added to the cost of the home for a wedding.
