Amazing mountain getaway
River Magic is an absolute gem of a property and particularly well-suited for a romantic adventure for two. The couch and reading chair are extremely comfortable, the fireplace is awesome, and pictures can’t do justice to the view from the deck. One of our new favorite spots!
Thank you.. we are glad you enjoyed your stay!
This property was exactly as advertised. It looked just as it appeared online and My Wife and I had a wonderful time. From the trails, to fishing, to just enjoying the scenic view on the back deck! We will be back!
Glad you had a wonderful time and enjoyed our beautiful scenic valley in the mountains!
Best View Ever
The property was amazing and the view was extraordinary. The cabin had everything you could ever need.
The AC was broken when we got there and it was 85 degrees in the cabin. A tech got it working finally. It took hours for the cabin to cool down. Then on Thursday evening the AC went out again. It was 92 degrees outside. We spent one very sleepless night because it got so hot inside. We had hoped to be able to get outside, but is was so hot outside during the whole stay, we were basically trapped inside. Can’t blame the cabin for the weather but, we sure can for no AC. All in all, it was a very miserable time.
On the day of your arrival the AC went out. We contacted you by phone and let you know prior to your arrival. We called an AC tech who came and made the repairs that day and the system worked properly that night and the next day. The following night the system malfunctioned again and you let us know about it the next morning at your departure. The AC tech came right back out and resolved the problem and all is working great. We certainly are so sorry about the inconvenience and gave you a refund. We have a high end multi-zone central AC system which normally operates perfectly and does now again. We apologize for the AC issue that occurred during your stay. We hope you return someday. We do not usually have such hot weather!
More magical every time
We've stayed at River Magic 3 times in the past 4 years and it is truly even better every time!
Thanks so much for coming back to the River Magic Experience! We do work diligently to make it better and better!
Wow, did they pick a perfect place to build this cabin. The photo is true to life -- a bird's eye view that seems to straddle the river. Like other reviewers, we found the cabin clean and comfortable, including the bed. Jill, the property manager, was helpful and responsive. One important bit of advice is that the last stretch of road to the cabin is gravel, with a steep incline and a sharp turn. Our SUV (2 wheel drive) had no trouble with it, but a car with low clearance might. If there was any negative at all, it was that several of the days we were there a train rolled through town. The tracks aren't close to the cabin, but the train blew its horn early in the morning, and it echoed through the valley. It didn't detract from our enjoyment overall, but light sleepers might not appreciate it.
