Hans Kok purchased this apartment in 2010
The apartment has got a unique location. In one of the best areas in Amsterdam; facing a park and the Amstel river (no neighbours) and lots of trees and plants in the neighbourhood and still a real Amsterdam neighbourhood with all the facilties like Tram, foodshop and supermarkets and restaurant within a few minutes distance and with tram in 10 minutes right in the heart of the historical center and always parking spots in the street
Architecture (building from the 1930's) makes it a real Amsterdam apartment (architecture style is called Amsterdam School); very light apartment (East, South positioning) and facing the green trees of the park and the blue water from the Amstel river which makes it very quiet to relax from the busy city. But if you like to benefit cities life, you'll be there within 15 minutes!
Very clean, comfortable, quiet apartment in a residential area close to parks and within a 15-min cycle ride of the city centre. Owner Hans was there to welcome us and set us up with the use of his bikes - an excellent bonus, thank you Hans! We would definitely stay here again although we would take insect repellent to ward off the mosquitoes at night time!
We enjoyed our stay here very much, Hans was welcoming and extremely helpful. We had a couple of glitches which were not his fault, and he was informative and apologetic. The kitchen is small but well equipped, and it's great to have a washing machine as we are long term travelers. The beds are comfortable, and although the second room is small, it's fine for a couple. The apartment is also very cosy :-)
Public transport links are also good and easy, and the bicycles are great to have.
We would book again for a future visit.
Hans greeted us with a wealth of information. He reviewed lots of tips and had many recommendations prepared for places to go, see, and eat. The apartment was very nice, clean and inviting. Excellent stay. I would completely recommend this property to friends.
Han's Kok well organized and cozy accomodations enhanced our already excellent visit to Amsterdam. The apartments aesthetics were pleasing to the eyes yet practical in functionality. The apartment was nice to return to at the end of each fun filled journey.
Han's was very professional yet personable. Thank you Han's for the valuable directions/resources. We truly enjoyed the people and teasures of Amsterdam.
The apt is located nicely outside of the inner ring of the city, across from a lovely park, on the Amstel. Hans provides bicycles, and they are really the only means of transportation you need in this city. It only took us about 15 minutes to ride "downtown", and that was at a speed that got us passed by many older ladies. The apt is excellent, and well equipped. Hans had an amazing amount of information and materials, tailored to what was happening during our stay. That's priceless.

The apartment lies South of the centre in one of the best areas in town (Rivierenbuurt). The area features many traditional Amsterdam buildings which were built in the 1930s. The historical city centre is 15 minutes away and public transport in neighbourhood (tram, railway station, subway) and a shopping street around the corner (supermarkets open 7/7). Also close to RAI exhibition centre.
