Quaint, large home great for a family get-together!
This home was perfect for our Thanksgiving weekend family reunion. Our group of ten made use of most of the rooms. My sister who has two small children got the big master bedroom. They seemed comfortable. Perhaps another cot in that room would have made their group even more comfortable. The kitchen was fully stocked which helped with preparing Thanksgiving dinner. We found a full tank of propane waiting for us. Thanks! Overall David was very informative and accommodating. I highly recommend this place if you are staying in the Poconos.
Thank you for your heartfelt review.
We look forward to welcoming you back next year.

Do not stay here!!!!
My family stayed here in July and we were very disappointed with the house. The location was great, right on the lake. The house was in need of extreme repair and upkeep. The carpet was dirty and needed cleaning. It did look like it was recently replaced but it was dirty right in the entrance and kitchen area. The air vents were filthy and needed replaced. The bathroom shower upstairs created a puddle on the floor and ran down the wallinto the master bedroom. The furniture was very worn, the lamps were broken, place was very disheveled and not organized, the washing machine water ran right out into the yard, the basement had a very musty moldy smell, we could hear rats in the basement ceiling and there was rat poisoning under two of the beds. The decor was very dated, '70s style. We had to clean all the appliances in the kitchen before we used them because they looked dirty and many were broken. We felt unsafe in the house because some of the locks did not work; raccoons were ther
With over 100 satisfied guests that have stayed with us over the years and mostly 5 star reviews, we feel a few explanations are necessary.
Firstly, it is very hard to react to problems when guests do not alert us during their stay. This review is the very first time we are hearing about any dissatisfaction experienced. We are extremely pro-active landlords. If you have a problem, big or small, please contact us immediately. If you don't alert us to an issue, how could we possibly fix it.
The house is rustic and charming with glorious views of a peaceful lake.
We have called a raccoon specialist to inspect the entire house. There are no raccoons to trap. All we have are squirrels which abound in the Poconos. No rats and no rat poison are in our house either.
If you are looking for a modern house to stay then our house next door is modern and up-to- date. If you like Pocono Rustic, this is the best place for you and your family. The private beach is a wonderful bonus that few homes have on Emerald Lakes.
A new washing machine was installed recently. The water has aways drained properly through the pipes.
We are available to put your mind at ease if you have any concerns about renting our home. Feel free to communicate with us by telephone or email.
Strongly suggest you read all the positive reviews about our home. The majority of guests have only good things to say about us. We are by no means "Perfect" but we try our level best to make things right when things go wrong.

Lovely Home for Family Getaway
We had a family reunion at this property. It was lovely. The house was spacious and the kitchen was well equipped. The lake views were great, and we enjoyed several outings with the 2 paddle boats and row boat that were available to us. The outdoor grill worked perfectly, and we had a great fire in the fire pit - perfect for making s'mores and looking at stars.
Thanks to the owner for enabling a lovely weekend with family who came from all over the country to be together.
Thank you so much Judy.
We appreciate your review and look forward to your return on another occasion.

Annual Family vacation
The private beach is the best on these two lakes and was great for our grand kids; ages 6months and 2yrs7months. The weather was perfect in high 70s this week, so A/C was turned off and windows opened. Too many windows don't have screens, but it worked OK.
Very nice, secluded, definitely needs some upgrades. the one thing that freaked us out was the raccoons running around during the day. hope you fix the leaky faucets soon too. plenty of room, but you could set them up a little better, maybe that big room in the back, with the loft, you could set up as a bunk room. oh, and its almost impossible to get up in that loft. Really enjoyed the beach at the mountains, great having boats to use.
The house was very spacious and situated in a serene beautiful spot
Very spacious and peaceful property. My three kids and two dogs loved the lake. All the fishing and lounging around, having quality family time together at this home was priceless
So pleased you had a wonderful time.
All the Best!
