Such a welcoming home ! This home must have been someone's dream home. It is where more than one family can converge yet have plenty of privacy. There are nooks and crannies everywhere which such architectural distinction and planning. warmth, comfort, spaciousness and intrigue await you here at this home in Flagstaff.
The functionality of the home is amazing. Everything you could imagine including a heated driveway and dumb waiter. Anything you might have forgotten is there and you feel welcome to use what you might need. It is not like other homes where everything is locked away. You are truly a guest here and the owners sincerely hope you will enjoy your stay.
The Flagstaff area is such a joy to explore. There are more hiking trails of all levels that you will not be able to discover and/or complete them all in one visit. Another reason to come back to this home and vacation area.
The community gives you a sense of peace security. This is a community of animal lovers and most businesses welcome your pet. You are almost sure to see the natural wildlife as well. With the Grand Canyon and Sedona near by there is much to do. Don't miss the observatory and the annual Chocolate Walk every February.
I give this home away from home a THREE THUMBS UP! This location more than met my expectations.
The architect of this home regaled his client with their dream home. This unique home has features you wouldn't expect. A stair lift, a dumb waiter, heated driveway. WOW!
The owners more than welcome their clients. They sincerely want you to enjoy the area and the home. This is a home where several families can converge and yet have personal privacy. It is beautifully furnished and decorated for your enjoyment and comfort.
The Flagstaff has so much to offer. If you are an outdoor person, the prospects area never ending. You could never do all the hikes in a week or two. With the Grand Canyon and Sedona so drivable, there is plenty to see. The G. Canyon is truly a marvel that shouldn't be missed. Flagstaff has an observatory and a nearby ski resort.
BUT, after a long day outdoors, you don't want to miss the warmth and inviting comforts of this home. This is a "do over" for any bucket list. Let me know how YOU like it.
This Flagstaff rental exceeded our expectations. We fell in love with the house and the area. This was our first time in Flagstaff. The owners set a new high bar for vacation rentals (and we have stayed at many in the US & Europe). The home offered comfort, classy/unique beauty and wonderful views. Everything we needed to make ourselves at home was available. Since we cooked all our meals there, we especially appreciated the well equipped kitchen, the welcome basket, and the open pantry with good olive oil, vinegar and herbs. I don’t think we’ve ever stayed anywhere where EVERYTHING--every window, drain and appliance--worked! The owners are our kind of house-tending people!
The man who greeted us is a gem--diligent, kind, generous and up-beat. Our initial afternoon arrival was jinxed when our morning flight from Iowa was cancelled. Lucky to get to Flagstaff on our intended check-in day, we arrived closer to 10 at night. He was at the house to greet us, explain the house and offer his take on must-do excursions. The next morning, he readily followed up with a few house details.
Setting up this rental with La Jolla Rentals was flawless, the ease much appreciated.
There was a book about Flagstaff hikes on the living room shelf by Richard and Sherry Mangum. It lead us to Red Mountain. This hike was starred in red marker, I assume by the owners. Red Mountain was a high point of our hiking adventures--a magical, must-see place. It was right up our ally: most of our excursions were volcano-centered.
For 3 of the nights, friends joined us. This house is optimally set up for 2 couples--the master suite at one end of the house, one of the other bedrooms with its own bath at the other end with the living room at the axis point.
We so appreciated being able to stay in this special home for a week.
